You Won’t Believe the Super Embarrassing Thing That Just Happened to Adele While Shopping
Though it may seem at times that Adele leads a charmed life straight off a vision board, the “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” singer recently had a shopping experience that served to remind us all that, at the end of the day, she’s still a living, breathing human just like the rest of us — albeit a really rich (she was named Forbes’ ninth highest paid celebrity in the world) and famous one with a killer voice. You know, sort of like that time she forgot the lyrics to her own song and had this amazing reaction?
While on tour in San Jose, California, Adele revealed to the crowd that her credit card just got declined… at… get this: H&M. Not Saks, not Neiman Marcus, but H and freaking M, one of the most budget-friendly stores around!
“I went to H&M and my card got declined,” she lamented. “Oh my days, pretty embarrassing.”
We’ll say! Luckily, Adele said she didn’t think anyone was wise to her identity. “Pretty sure no one knew it was me, so I think I’m going to get away with it,” she said.
Don’t worry — even if they did, it only makes us love you more.
The other thing that makes us love her more? Girl’s affinity for Target.
“They have everything,” she told her fans. “Literally, I spent $100 on stuff I do not need; I never need anything I buy at Target, but it’s amazing!”
We know EXACTLY what you mean, Adele.
