Celebrate Oktoberfest with Our Sparkling Pumpkin Cider Beertail!
It’s the first week of October, but Oktoberfest is almost over! Celebrate the last weekend of this worldwide beerfest by creating a autumnal beer-tail. Not only is this delicious, but it’s a great way to use those pumpkin ales guests inevitably bring to your house all October long.
Ingredients (makes 4 glasses)
– 3 bottles of Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale
– 1/2 bottle Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider
– 4 cinnamon sticks
– 4 lemon wedges
– a sprinkle of cinnamon
A cocktail with two key ingredients and three garnishes is the way we like it here at Brit + Co.
Start with a cinnamon stick. Place one in each glass or, in our case, each mismatched mason jar. Next, pour Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale until the glass is about three quarters full. Next, add your cider. You want a little bit of foam so don’t worry about extra bubbles.
Squeeze a little bit of lemon on top and place wedges on each glass for garnish.
Last, add a sprinkle of cinnamon on the top! This brings the cinnamon aroma right into your nose as you take your first sip. Mmmm.
And that’s all!
If you’re more of a cider lover, pour more cider. Love the pumpkin beer, go for more of that! This recipe is a play on the traditional Shandy, a summer cocktail that combines beer with sparkling lemonade, cider, or ginger ale. It’s also known as a Snakebite.
