Sophia Bush Shows Us How to Rock Menswear for Spring
When warm weather hits, it’s often prime time to bust out florals (or greenery, rather). But as Chicago PD actress Sophia Bush showed us all at a brunch event for estate sale marketplace Everything But the House yesterday, it’s not your only choice when it comes to springwear.
We were on hand to take in the scene — and the style — as Bush played host to the affair held at a private city hot spot in Chicago. Other brunchers in attendance included fellow Chicago PD actress Marina Squerciati and the star of VH1’s 2012 reality series, House of Consignment, Corri McFadden.
The 34-year-old stood out in all-white, ATM Anthony Thomas Meilllo Collection suit separates and an Edie Parker clutch atop a simple black tee. Oversized for comfort with fitted cropped pants, the look was an updated, seasonally appropriate take on menswear that suited the girl boss’s agenda perfectly.
Not only did the former One Tree Hill Star help to design the tablescapes for the brunch, including its dinnerware and floral centerpieces, but she hand-selected items from EBTH’s site for a vintage White Elephant gift exchange.
The game included such finds as a Gucci Richard Ginori ceramic and porcelain jewelry box, a vintage Alpaca holographic pitcher with abalone shell detail, an Hermès change tray, Gucci playing cards, and, the most popular catch of the day (stolen no less than three times), a mid-century brass Gazelle bust head for the wall.
Bush herself made off with a uniquely shaped black chair and a floral arrangement, which she carried out herself, a feat made all the more easy thanks to her practical suit bottoms — score!
Looking fly, Sophia!
