#SquadHairGoals: The 5-Minute 3D Crown Braid
Sup, girl? It’s the second installment of our #SquadHairGoals series, and this week, we’re all about this 3D braided ‘do. We know you’ve swooned over versions of it on Insta, but we’ve got the super simple step-by-step tutorial broken down for you below.
After you’ve peeped today’s hair tutorial, be sure to check back next week for the third installment in our #SquadHairGoals series of badass gals rocking next-level hair.
STEP 1: CREATE A 3D BRAID ON THE LEFT SIDE
To start, part your hair slightly more to one side and begin braiding. We recommend using the 3D braiding technique (where you cross your hair strands underneath each other instead of on top). It’s all about depth and dimension for this look, so this technique is everything.
STEP 2: REPEAT ON THE RIGHT SIDE
Braid your other section in the same fashion. Widen both sides by tugging slightly at each braid to enhance their appearance and add a glam vibe to your look.
STEP 3: KNOT THE BRAIDS IN THE BACK
Twist the second braid around your first to create a knot, then pin the braid in place. Simple as that!
Your final look is understated, yet a total show-stopper. This half-up ‘do can elevate your everyday style at the office and have you looking fly for date night!
