Announcing the “Be Yourself Together” Couple Photo Contest!
Summer may be coming to a close, but we’re on the heels of one of my very favorite seasons: fall wedding season! Believe it or not, five of my friends are getting married in the next month and a half. That’s right, five weddings in six weeks. I’m exhausted and slightly hungover just thinking about it. It’s going to be a marathon of food, fun, beautiful decor and insane dance parties. One of these new brides is actually one of our very own Brit + Co. staffers, Anjelika Paranjpe (now Anjelika Temple!), who spent the better part of the last three months crafting nearly a thousand yarn pom poms for her wedding decor. Not joking.
With love in the air, we wanted to do something special for all our nearly- and newly-wed readers. That’s why we are teaming up with Target to bring you the ultimate DIY wedding series. From clever wedding party gifts to registry must-haves, Brit + Co. will be a one stop shop for everything you need before and after you say “I do.” We’ll also be cataloging all of our favorite ideas and products on our handy Dream Wedding Pinterest board.
There’s no doubt we have some exciting wedding-related projects up our sleeves, but we are first going to kick things off with a project focused on YOU. We’re titling this one the “Be Yourself Together” photo contest. Basically, we want to see the best and most creative photos of you and your significant other (AKA your “sig oth” as I like to call it) being your most real and authentic selves, together. (Be Yourself Together… get it?!) Five lucky winners will receive gift cards to Target (!) and some major street cred among photo stalkers everywhere.
Need more explanation on what it means to “be yourself together”? It can actually be many things: moments when you’re a total goofball, when you’re completely serious and vulnerable, when you’re not ashamed to do what you love in front of everyone, when you’re not afraid to show who you love in front of everyone… the list goes on and on. Show us some personality!
How do you enter? It’s easy. Simply click the “Enter The Contest” button and upload up to 5 photos that showcase you and your partner “being yourselves together.” Then submit your name and email address in the required fields. That’s it! We encourage you to tag it with the hashtag #TargetBYT as we’ll be scouring the web for your photos, and sharing them on our Brit + Co. Be Yourself Together Pinterest board. All photo submissions are due by 10/15.
