Year-end lists are a pretty good indicator of what people were watching, listening to, and talking about in any given year. Google recently unveiled some of their year-end search statistics for 2017, including what TV shows people were most curious about in the United States, and there are a few surprises on the list. 10. American Gods: Based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name, this Starz show got a ton of buzz and great reviews at the start of the year. Santa Clarita Diet: Netflix originals seem to be a sure bet for viewer interest, and this one, starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant as a normal suburban couple who have to deal with Barrymore's newfound taste for human flesh, certainly got people's attention.
