Tips on How to Organize Your Home like Your Fave Bloggers
New year = new resolutions, right? This January, we teamed up with Target and some of our favorite bloggers to tackle one BIG resolution: get organized in 2015! From the closet to the bathroom to the kitchen, we adopted little organizational hacks and fully embraced open shelving. The result: clean, orderly spaces that truly give us peace of mind. Here are some tips on how to organize your home like some of our favorite bloggers from DesignMilk, Oh Happy Day and more!
Bri Emery, DesignLoveFest
Bri Emery of DesignLoveFest decided to tackle her unruly closet. First, she started with a good closet clean out… something we should all probably consider.
Next, she added shelves, baskets and dividers to make sense of the chaos and we have to say, this is definitely a closet we are now envious of. Next time you’re cleaning out your closet, give us a call, Bri!
Jaime Derringer, DesignMilk
From the closet, we moved on to the bathroom. This space can get unorganized… FAST. It’s so easy for a last-minute makeup morning to transform your vanity space into a disaster zone. Blogger Jaime Derringer of DesignMilk spruced up her “loo” and was kind enough to share the tips with us.
Jaime achieved a luxurious, spa-like bathroom without breaking the bank! We love the simple accents and minimalist storage bins from Target. So Jaime… can we use your bathroom?
Angie Dudley, Bakerella
With personal spaces tackled, we moved onto the rest of the house—specifically the kitchen pantry. It’s easy for this home food aisle to become a bit cluttered and disorganized… especially after grocery store shopping sprees. That’s where Angie Dudley of Bakerella stepped in!
Angie’s pantry was a tad out-of-control—”cookie cutter chaos, overflowing bins and baking cups everywhere.” She decided to raid Target for some storage solutions and now Angie has a pantry we want to sleep in. Seriously… it’s clean and colorful and full of baking supplies. Bring on dessert!
Jordan Ferney, Oh Happy Day
Lastly, Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day took us out of the pantry and into the main party room — AKA the kitchen.
Jordan shows us how to tackle wide open spaces in the kitchen with open shelving. She admits, “open shelving… so beautiful, yet so impractical.” But with Jordan’s six helpful tips (find ’em here!), you can upgrade your kitchen in a similar way.
So, feeling inspired? Make the most of cold-weather indoor blues by starting an organization project, or better yet, get a jump start on spring cleaning! We can’t wait to see what you pull together.
