‘The Favourite’ and ‘Black Panther’ Lead the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards Film Nominations!
The 2019 awards season is in full swing. After the Film Independent Spirit Awards got things rolling with their nominations in November, the Golden Globes and Grammy Awards followed suit last week. And on Monday, December 10, the Critics’ Choice Awards revealed which shows, movies, and stars will be up for their industry honors on January 11.
On the film side — which includes the usual Best Picture and Best Actor/Actress races, as well as categories such as Best Action Movie, Best Sci-Fi Horror Movie, and Best Acting Ensemble — The Favourite and Black Panther lead with 14 and 12 nominations, respectively. A Star Is Born also racked up several nods, including Best Actress for Lady Gaga and Best Actor and Best Director for Bradley Cooper.
