With no offense to Oscar, our favorite celebrities including Ashley Graham, Gemma Chan, and Amy Adams stole the spotlight on the 2019 Academy Awards red carpet (and afterparty) on February 24 in Los Angeles. Yes, the fashion was breathtaking, but their radiant complexions were downright mesmerizing. Click through to find out exactly which skincare products their pros used — including a few drugstore beauty buys.
Olivia Colman, 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party : "I used Emma Hardie Plump & Glow Hydrating Facial Mist with Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid ($55) to plump up and freshen skin," makeup artist Sarah Uslan says. "Next I used Emma Hardie Midas Touch Revitalising Eye Serum ($70) to lift, firm, and smooth under her eyes, which creates the best texture prior to concealer. I then used the Emma Hardie Moisture Boost Vit+C Cream ($69) to hydrate and brighten her skin under her makeup." (Photo via George Pimentel/ Getty)
Ashley Graham, Oscars 2019: Celebrity makeup artist Kate Synnott performed a three-step skincare routine on Graham to ensure her skin looked as flawless as can be. First, she massaged Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème ($44) all over the face and décolletage using upwards motions. Next, Synnott rolled ice cubes over Graham’s eyelids and under eye area to reduce inflammation and puffiness for a more bright-eyed appeal. While the skin was still cold, she applied Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème ($38) to the brow bone and just under the eye towards the cheekbone to camouflage dark circles and act as a primer for concealer. Syonnott finished the routine with three to four pumps of Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Face Primer ($36). "Banana Bright has such a gorgeous silk texture so it blends in really quickly," says Syonnott. (Photo via Steve Granitz/ Getty)
Tina Fey, Oscars 2019: The trick behind the presenter's smooth, red carpet-ready complexion? A DERMAFLASH 2.0 Facial Exfoliating Device ($189). "DERMAFLASH is the perfect way to prep the skin before applying makeup," makeup artist Gita Bass says. "It deeply exfoliates by removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz, revealing smooth skin that becomes the perfect canvas for makeup." (Photo via Jeff Kravitz/ Getty)
Gemma Chan, Oscars 2019: Makeup artist Monika Blunder prepped the Crazy Rich Asians actress's skin with Clé de Peau Beauté Intensifying Fortifying Emulsion ($160) using a Joanna Czech Facial Massager ($189). "I prepped with the emulsion, because it is lightweight and has the most delicious ingredients," she says. "I love the subtle glow it gives to the skin." (Photo via Steve Granitz/ Getty)
Sofia Vergara, 2019 Vanity Fair Oscar Party: Celebrity makeup artist Quinn Murphy prepped Vergara's skin with Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Clay Mask ($55) and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Night Cream ($145) the night before to help lift and brighten her complexion. Emma Stone, Oscars 2019: "I started off with skincare prep by using the Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask ($162) that I let sit on her skin for five minutes," makeup artist Rachel Goodwin says. "I then wiped off the excess with a tissue and applied the Sisley Paris Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream ($195), which is one of my favorite products to create a radiant base for makeup." Under the eyes, Goodwin used the ridoki massage tool that comes with the Sisley Paris L'Integral Eye & Lip Contour Cream ($210) to cool and de-puff the area before applying the product itself. She finished by hydrating and prepping lips with the Sisley Paris Nutritive Lip Balm ($74). (Photo via Frazer Harrison/ Getty)
