If ever you needed a reminder that you can’t judge a book by its cover, you need look no further than 50 Cent and Dame Helen Mirren. Though the two may seem like polar opposites, the rapper revealed on social media yesterday that not only did he enjoy meeting the 71-year-old actress at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco earlier this week, but he was rather smitten!
50 told us how he REALLY feels in the caption of a shot of the pair he uploaded to Instagram, saying, “Yea, I think I love her man, I’m trying not to stare at her. She know she turns me on. She just has that thing you know, I can’t describe it. LOL.”
And just in case you thought the two were merely posing for the paparazzi, he shared another shot of them hanging out inside the event, writing, “Me and the Queen @helenmirren chilling. Taking over Monaco for the night.”
While the attraction might seem an unlikely one, perhaps someone like Mirren isn’t that far off the mark for Mr. Curtis Jackson after all: He’s certainly dated older women before — the actor famously romanced 52-year-old Vivica A. Fox, who is 11 years his senior. He’s also proven to have a penchant for strong, intelligent women (*ahem, Chelsea Handler).
Mirren, for her part, is certainly not your typical 71-year-old, with her vivacious spirit and emboldened style: You may recall the faux Prince tattoo she rocked to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner back in 2016.
Unfortunately for 50, Mirren is a taken woman — she’s married to Oscar-winner Taylor Hickford, and has been for 20 years. Womp, womp!
