A Bachelor Contestant from Nick Viall’s Season Was Just Arrested
The Bachelor’s Corrine is undeniably this season’s (conspiracy-sparking, engagement ring spoof-pulling) villain, but she’s not the only contestant who’s stirring up some serious drama. Though this time around, we’re talking about criminal-level drama. That’s right — another one of the ladies who signed up to vie for Nick Viall’s heart has just been arrested. Yowza!
Ida Marie De Los Santos may have failed to capture the Bachelor’s attention and saw herself eliminated by Nick in this season’s first episode, but it looks like she’s not ready to leave the drama behind quite yet.
According to the Harlingen Police Department, the 23-year-old Texan (and a friend who she was “shopping” with) apparently wasn’t in the mood to pay for the $373.01 worth of items she had picked up while in a local Target.
“On 1/17/17 at approximately 3:59pm, I [officer Robert Garcia] responded to a shoplifter at the 1000 block of Dixieland Road,” the report says, according to Perez Hilton, adding, “two females intentionally and knowing took store merchandise with the intent to deprive the owner of their property.”
Ida was then arrested and booked for theft. While this shoplifter may have originally been aiming for a rose and wedding date, she instead found herself with a criminal record and court date.
