A Free 24-Hour Wine Fountain Now Exists Because Dreams Do Come True

OMG! Dreams really do come true! That is, if you’ve ever dreamed about a free, endless supply of wine that streams from a fountain. And let’s be honest, most of us have had a wine-related dream like that at one time or another (some have even made it a career-based reality). That’s why the news that an actual 24-hour wine fountain now exists is so incredible. The fact that it’s free? Too good to be true. But it IS!
Installed by The Dora Sarchese vineyard, the fontana del vino can be found in the Abruzzo region of Italy along the Cammino di San Tommaso, a popular route between Rome and Ortona. Offering a glass or two (or more), the best part has to be that anyone passing by can have as much as they want… FOR FREE! Although there are warnings that the fountain isn’t meant for “drunkards” or “louts.” Ouch.

They got the idea from a similar fountain (there’s more than one!!) in Spain, and we can only hope that this is a new international trend that will soon hit our own neighborhoods.
