A New Anne of Green Gables Movie Is Coming and Here’s When You Can Watch It
Anne of Green Gables is making a SERIOUS comeback. Not only is Netflix developing a new series around the beloved book series from the 1900s, but PBS has just announced that it’s doing a remake of the 1985 film version (the cast of which has since all grown up) that will air on Thanksgiving Day at 8/7c.
The tale of a young rebellious orphan sent to live on a farm with her aunt and uncle is as captivating as ever, with Anne herself cheekily saying, “Red hair makes it easier to be bad than good!”
Even more exciting? In addition to Ella Ballantine, who will star as Anne in this adaptation, will be Martin Sheen, who will play the fun-loving uncle she’s sent to live with, Matthew Cuthbert.
And if all of THAT doesn’t have you stoked enough, the trailer for the film is here, and you can watch it below.
Eeee! Is it Thanksgiving yet?
