Why You May Find Yourself Shopping at Abercrombie + Fitch Again
If you feel like athleisure looks have been popping up at the office more and more these days, there’s a reason for that. Basically every single shopping outlet, like ADAY and even Tory Burch, is releasing or expanding their majorly casual wear. Being comfortable at your desk from nine to five is important these days. So if you’re feeling a little too dressed up at work in a silk top and jeans, you have companies like Forever 21, Topshop and now Abercrombie + Fitch to thank. Or send a passive-aggressive tweet to ;)
To further continue its makeover, Abercrombie + Fitch is expanding its athleisure options for ladies — and not showing it off with a nearly naked model. Taking cues from when it was the place to shop throughout high school and maybe even college, athleisure options include peplum skirts, bomber jackets, zip-up hoodies and sweatpants that bring back vibes of its earlier, collegiate-looking days. You know, when A+F was still in the good graces of the public’s eyes.
A release from the brand made clear what the inspo was behind this expansion into athleisure attire. “The collection is a nod to the brand’s athletic heritage, featuring sporty items that can be dressed up or down including cropped fleece tops, structured leggings, tanks with mesh inserts and ribbed jersey dresses.” Or they want us all to look like Kylie + Kendall, no?
If you are into these cozy, office, gym + date-appropriate looks, there’s good news for you. The collection is already available online and in stores, ranging in price from a budget-friendly $15 to the A+F we’ve grown to know at $160. Looks like this weekend’s shopping spree may include A+F for once, no?
