Your Favorite Spy Kids Actress Is Expecting a Baby

Guys, prepare yourselves for this realization: It’s been 15 years since Spy Kids hit theaters. Anyone else feel old yet? Since then, the movie’s main character Carmen Cortez (AKA Alexa Vega) has gone on to act in a number of other movies and TV shows (remember Sleepover?). She also married Big Time Rush’s Carlos Pena Jr. The two tied the knot back in 2014, and now it looks like they’ve decided to turn their family of two into a family of three.
Alexa and Carlos took to Instagram today to share that they’re expecting! Carlos wrote on his Insta, “Breaking news! It’s #ClearblueConfirmed! There is going to be a new cool kid in town… And by cool I mean dorky just like their father. A little PenaVega is on the way!!!”

Alexa also shared the news on her own account alongside a sweet sentiment that read, “I cannot believe I finally get to say this… WE’RE PREGNANT!!! It’s#ClearblueConfirmed that a little blessing is joining the PenaVega family!!! We can’t wait!!!”
Congrats to the growing fam (and to Clearblue for all the not-so-subtle publicity)!
