How a Pair of $3 Thrift Store Jeans Inspired This Celeb’s Pregnancy Announcement
It looks like 2016 is shaping up to be a major year for Ali Fedotowsky. The former contenstant on The Bachelor and then star of TheBachlorette joined the list of newly engaged celebrities back in September when she said “yes” to her now fiancee, radio host Kevin Manno. Now the TV personality and blogger just took to Facebook to share they she and Kevin are pregnant with their first child together.
Ali captioned the hilarious snap, “It’s true – we’re pregnant! You see, last year, when Kevin & I started planning our wedding, we couldn’t find any good ring bearers or flower girls so we decided to make our own.”
If you’re wondering about that hilarious annoucement photo, Ali explained the meaning on her blog. She writes, “We were at Kevin’s parents house in Indiana, playing an SNL trivia game that his parents bought us. One of the trivia cards asked what the slogan was for the “Mom Jeans” commercial on SNL…We both knew the answer was ‘Cause I’m not a woman anymore, I’m a mom’ and we both had a laugh. Then it clicked! Mom jeans would make a GREAT pregnancy announcement. We don’t like to take ourselves too seriously and wanted our announcement to be fun and light hearted (I knew I’d save the serious stuff for here on my blog and maybe some future Instagram posts). So we went to Goodwill and bought a $3 pair of mom jeans and Kevin’s brother Ryan (Uncle Ryan!) took the photos!” Congrats to the happy couple!
