Ali Fedotowsky Reveals to Us Why She Almost Quit The Bachelorette
The world first met Ali Fedotowsky when she was the one of the final four on season 14 of The Bachelor and went on to be The Bachelorette in her own season — but did you know she very nearly didn’t make it to the end of that season? The lifestyle blogger and Bachelor/Bachelorette alum was recently a co-host alongside the inimitably stylish Brad Goreski at our Re:Make conference in San Francisco. Ali sat down with us and dished about the moment on The Bachelorette that made her almost quit.
While she didn’t name any names, Ali clashed with one of the fellas who was vying for her affection and wanted him off the show. The producers, however, had something else in mind. “I didn’t like one of the guys and I wanted to send him home and the producer wouldn’t let me at the time,” Ali tells us “So she was like, ‘No, you can’t send that guy home! That’s not how this works! You have to wait until the rose ceremony.’ So I was just like, ‘Ugh, fine.’ And I got really mad and I almost quit.” Exactly who that person is, we may never know (Justin Rego, the guy who had a gf at home, maybe?).
She might be well past her Bachelorette days, but if there’s anything her time on the show has taught her, it’s this: “You should trust your gut when it comes to real love.” And that’s a lesson you can take to the bank.
