Alicia Vikander’s Fresh New ‘Do Proves the Lob Will Live on for Fall 2017
With the changing of the seasons tends to come a whole new slew of hair updates, and fall 2017 is already proving to be no exception. We’re just one day into autumn, and already, we’ve seen Nina Dobrev with a new piece-y bob. Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander is also freshening up her look, trying her hand at an old-school favorite that, frankly, we’re not sure will ever die: the lob.
After hitting the red carpet just two weeks ago for the Toronto International Film Festival with flowing, chest-length locks, the Tomb Raider star stopped off at the San Sebastián Film Festival yesterday with a decidedly shorter look.
Her new style, which appeared to be oh-so-slightly asymmetrical, shortened up her locks to about shoulder-length with plenty of messy layers for a shaggy, rock-and-roll finish.
While all signs point to a fresh chop, it’s also entirely possible that she’s simply been hiding her real locks away with extensions until now — the 28-year-old told LOOK last year that she’s been a loyal client of London extension salon Vixen & Blush for about three years.
“I’m often asked to change my hair for roles and now insist on having my hair extensions done in London by Danielle at Vixen & Blush, as she is the only person I can trust to safely apply them,” she told the outlet. “Having had bad experiences in the past, I know the difference, and I know that it’s worth making the effort to travel for my hair.”
Whether it’s her natural coif or supplemented, however, Vikander’s latest look definitely suits her, and give us all plenty of hair inspo to swoon over this season.
Looking good, Alicia!
