This Disney Star’s Lavender Wedding Dress Is Gorgeous

Remember those early millennial days when the highlight of your Friday night was the premiere of that new Disney Channel original movie? And remember how excited you were when you realized the stars of said Disney movie were musical siblings Aly and AJ? Well, the oldest of the duo is all grown up and married now. Aly Michalka wed director Stephen Ringer this past weekend in Portofino, Italy. In addition to their gorgeous surroundings, Michalka’s day was also made extra special by strutting down the aisle in a stunning lavender dress.
The floor-length gown was topped with ultra-delicate embellishments and featured a full, flowing skirt. While the gown isn’t necessarily the traditional color of a wedding dress, Michalka’s look proves that you can stray from tradition while still evoking a definitive bridal vibe. The lavender dress paired with her veil and bejewelled headband are the perfect mix of old meets new.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen celebs stray away from the classic white ensemble. A couple weeks ago, Newsroom star Alison Pill said “I do” in a charming yellow dress. Are Aly and Alison forging the way for a summer full of ultra colorful brides? We have our fingers crossed.
