Amal Clooney may be the picture of refinement (check out her Jackie O. maternity look), but she’s not afraid to get a little edgy from time to time, either. Case in point? The badass, totally unexpected look the mother of two just stepped out for date night with her hubby, George Clooney.
In photos obtained by InStyle, the human rights lawyer can be seen walking arm-in-arm with her man in NYC Thursday night wearing — get this — a pair of Alexander Wang Daisy Dukes OVER leather leggings. She upped the edge factor even more with a floral and fur coat, a black hat, plus some heeled black booties.
While we’ve long been pairing our shorts with tights to extend their life in winter, this new combo has dreaming of all kinds of new possibilities for keeping warm on chillier spring days!
She wasn’t married to the look for long, however: The very next night, the 40-year-old did a total fashion 180, hitting the town in a bold yellow Lanvin coat, tan thigh-high boots, and a black clutch.
