6 New Amazon Gadgets Designed to Do Chores, Stream TV Shows, and Deliver the News
The holidays are coming up, so naturally, we’re putting the newest technology releases on our wishlist. As always, Amazon is one of our go-to’s for hot gadgets at great prices, and this year is no different. Check out all the awesome new products being released that will make your life easier; we’re already enjoying our newfound free time.
1. Fire TV ($70): We get it, you love your shows. This Amazon gadget enables you to power-binge your favorite ones like Stranger Things and Broad Citywith voice-command. “Alexa, find rom-coms starring Meg Ryan.” There goes your winter. With Fire TV, you can access over 500,000 movies and television episodes from Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, Starz, and more. It’s simple; the device plugs directly into your TV. You can even use it to order pizza or whatever grub your ultimate chill evening requires. Plus, if you have an Amazon Prime membership, you can access additional content like Thursday Night Football, Amazon Original Series, Amazon Channel, and ad-free streaming of millions of songs through Prime Music. So basically, who needs cable anymore?
2. Echo ($100): If you haven’t dipped into the productivity boost called the Amazon Echo, then you better catch up. This 2nd-generation Echo is more aesthetically pleasing than ever. With new facades like Heather Gray Fabric, Oak Finish, and Sandstone Fabric, the Echo will blend in with your decor while Alexa lays low and does the heavy legwork, like compile grocery lists and set alarms, that we know and love.
3. Echo Plus ($165): If you are impressed by the power of Alexa, you’ll love the Echo Plus. Equipped with new technology and a built-in smart home hub, this is a worthwhile splurge for tech-savvy shoppers. The Echo Plus can control smart lights, locks, garage doors, thermostats, and more. It’s like a real life Smart House without the creepy digital lady who comes to life. We hope.
4. Echo Spot ($130): The Echo Spot is basically everything you love about Alexa, but in a compact form with visual display. 6. Echo Connect ($35): The Echo Connect plugs into your home phone jack and acts as a voice-controlled speakerphone. Operating in conjunction with an Echo Device and your home phone service, the Echo Connect will allow you to make and receive calls just using your gorgeous voice.
