Amazon Is Releasing a Touchscreen Alexa Device
Amazon is the god of online shopping. Prime members get sweet benefits, like one-hour delivery in some places (although free two-day shipping is still the golden standard). You can hire people to come to your house and do your chores for you. You can order lunch and now even concert tickets. Step aside, SeatGeek!
In recent years, the tech giant has also come out with some pretty badass hardware, like the Fire TV and Amazon Echo, not to mention the adorable Dot. Seriously, has a gadget ever been this cute?!
The Echo has already become pretty popular as far as digital home assistants go, but that’s not to say it couldn’t be improved — and Amazon knows it. According to Bloomberg, Amazon is planning to release a big Alexa-enabled speaker in the beginning of 2017, complete with a touchscreen so you can look at news, weather reports and recipes, as well as hear them when you’re in the kitchen (some of us are better lookers than listeners).
Amazon is still keeping the internally named “Knight” firmly under wraps, but we hope to hear more soon.
