Amber Rose Shares Her Breast Reduction Surgery Journey: ‘I’m Scared and Excited’
Amber Rose is never shy about sharing what’s on her mind, and on Tuesday, the model and activist revealed that she’s undergoing breast surgery this week, and that she’s both “really scared and really excited” about the procedure.
Rose shared the news in an Instagram story, explaining that the surgery would take place the following day, on Wednesday. She used a series of emojis, including both an anguished face and a heart-eyes smiley face, to describe how she felt.
On Tuesday evening, Dr. Garth Fisher, who will be performing the surgery, posted a smiling selfie with the 34-year-old, explaining how Rose’s surgery will benefit her health. “Like many women, she is plagued by neck and back discomfort because of her breast size,” he wrote alongside the pic.
Rose appeared cheerful and hopeful in a video with the doctor, revealing the result she was most looking forward to. “Spaghetti straps! I’m really excited about spaghetti straps,” she shared, noting that the last time she wore that style of tank top was when she was 10 years old.

Rose first revealed that she was considering the surgery last summer. “I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction this year,” she shared on Instagram in July, asking followers to share their experiences with the surgery. “My boobs are stupid heavy, my back hurts and I can’t wear cute lil shirts without a grandma bra.”
All our best to Rose in her surgery and recovery!
