Amber Rose Is Being Trolled on Instagram for the Saddest Reason Ever
There are a million things we can think of that Amber Rose could have posted to her Instagram page to spark the ire of her some odd 12.9 million followers. After all, girl is about as outspoken as they come, and she doesn’t hold back if she has an opinion, unpopular or otherwise: Just ask Kanye West or Julianne Hough.
But the video the mom of one shared that actually did cause a social media storm has us completely baffled, and, quite frankly, a little sad.
Routinely teaching her son, Sebastian Taylor, lessons on Instagram since he was just two years old, Amber’s latest video of her little boy was no different, only this time, she had a social message to share.
Showcasing Sebastian sitting in a nail salon chair for his first mani/pedi, Amber can be heard saying, “Hey pumpkin, are you excited to get a pedicure and manicure?” to which the little tyke enthusiastically replies, “YEAH.”

“Pumpkin nails with Mr. Skully Bones,” she captioned the vid. “#HalloweenIsNeverOverAtOurHouse We encourage our children to paint, draw and be creative, so why block them from their creativity when it comes to self-expression? F*ck society standards and gender roles! Let your children be great!”
While the message behind the post is one of love and acceptance, sadly, many of the some odd 3,821 comments it received were not, with plenty of not-so-nice viewpoints being hurled Amber’s way.
Some insinuated that her decision to indulge her child’s curiosity would somehow affect his future “manhood,” while others were upset that she might influence his decisions regarding sexual orientation. At its most basic, the level of outrage seen over a woman spending a great afternoon with her son is appalling: In fact, it’s downright disturbing. But we guess we should have gathered as much by this study, which says that gender stereotypes today are just as bad as they were 30 years ago. UGH! All the more reason to keep on fighting, right?
Amber, for her part, chose to take the high road. Rather than taking a page out of Miranda Lambert’s book and killing her hateful trolls with kindness, she kept right on moving, leaving the share up loud and proud to prove that she DGAF what you think of her parenting skills.
We thank they’re pretty spot-on, Amber ― keep up the good work!
