Amber Tamblyn Just Gave Us the (Real) Baby Name Announcement to End All Announcements

Last month, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Amber Tamblyn had us in stiches with the hilarious birth announcement she posted to her Instagram page, in which she gave us a pseudo name for her new little girl: Dauphinnoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RGB Cross Tamblyn Bey-Jr. A bit of a mouthful, right?

Tamblyn was only joking, however, leaving us all to wonder what she and husband David Cross had actually chosen for their beautiful babe’s REAL moniker.

We don’t have to wonder anymore, as Tamblyn has just spilled the beans on social media — but, in typical Tamblyn fashion, this is no ordinary name announcement, friends, oh no. No, this new mommy’s announcement comes complete with a letter of congratulations from none other than Hillary. Freaking. Clinton!

“The one day I decide to put mascara on, Hillary Clinton sends us this letter for our daughter,” Tamblyn wrote. “Crying now. A letter from one spectacular woman who has lived so much to another who has only just begun. My heart is as full as this diaper I’m about to change. Thank you, Hillary, grandmother to us all.”

It’s only fitting, considering the fact that Tamblyn actually announced her pregnancy with a written piece on why she was voting for the former Presidential hopeful. When Clinton lost the election, Tamblyn took to pen and paper once more, writing her an open letter which was published in Glamour which thanked our former Secretary of State for her service.

Now, Clinton has returned the favor, addressing a letter to Tamblyn’s newborn, Marlow.

“Dear Marlow,” she wrote. “Happy birthday! Your birth has been a great source of joy for your parents, Amber and David, and your vast community of admirers and champions. I send my best wishes to you for a lifetime of amazing accomplishments and adventures, full of love, learning, and friendship. With warm regards, I am sincerely yours, Hillary Clinton.”

Wow! What an awesome way to start out in the world. It looks like little Marlowe is already destined for big things — but with Tamblyn as a mom, we already could have told you that.
