Enough chatter about what's outdated or overrated! We could hyper-focus on this all day long, but we'd rather talk about which fashion trendsshould be in your closet in 2025. With the help of Stitch Fix's stylist Jessica Sockel and Amy Ekren, stylist as well as owner of Inherit Clothing, we've got an inside look at the easiest styles you can make work with what you already own.
P.S. Some of these trends are making a comeback from last year!
7 fashion trends you definitely need ā and are easy to style ā this year!
Anthropologie
1. The Bridgerton Effect
Are you sick of hearing about Bridgerton? We're not and it seems like others want to take a page from the franchise's style book. Jessica Sockel says, "The showās romantic, whimsical aesthetic appeared to inspire our clients [Stitch Fix] with requests for ācoquetteā styles up 100% compared to last year."
Try this style: Anthropologie The ChƩri Ruffled Tulle Midi Skirt
Meshki
2. Timeless, Structured Dresses
Fashion trends are always fun when they feel timeless and Amy Ekren predicts we'll continue seeing styles that mirror this. "Clean lines and simple shapes will be popular, but with interesting details like pleats, asymmetry, or unique necklines. No one wants to feel like theyāre trying too hard, and structured pieces make a statement without being loud," she says.
Try this style: Meshki Taylor Draped Crepe Midi Dress
Abercrombie & Fitch
3. Neutrals and Soft Earth Tones
Somehow our mothers were right ā neutrals are beautiful (and easy) to style. With trends like mocha mousse taking center stage in the fashion and home decor industries, Ekren says we'll be seeing it all year because "neutrals make it easier to build a wardrobe that feels cohesive instead of trendy."
She also draws attention to shades like "warm, muted tones like oat, clay, and soft olive" that "will take over in 2025." Why? It's simple: she feels "theyāre easy to style, feel sophisticated, and work for every season."
Try this style: Abercrombie & Fitch Ribbed Collared Cardigan
MANGO
4. Practical Layers
Lean in close. You're ready to stop feeling swallowed by your coats aren't you? Ekren says, "People are moving away from oversized puffers and leaning into more tailored outerwear. Cropped wool coats, quilted jackets, and fitted trenches will be everywhere. There will be more functional style."
Try this style: MANGO Double-Breasted Cotton Trench Coat
Gigi Pip
5. Western-Inspired
Did you think the cowgirl era was over? It's clearly not because shows like Yellowstone are making us want to tap into our inner 'yeehaw' this year with a slight upgrade to traditional silhouettes. Sockel says, "Western charm will continue to be popular in 2025 and evolve to incorporate a refined edge. Denim-on-denim, barn jackets and barrel-leg jeans (which have already surged 2,925% in client searches compared to last year) will become wardrobe staples."
And if you thought "suede and fringe" were long buried in time, Sockel says "requests have also increased by 25% since last year" which is "cementing this trend's staying power" in Stitch Fix's eyes. It's to the point where she's seeing "82% of stylists" agreeing that "cowboy boots and feminine dresses will be a client favorite." We guess it's time to break out our cowboy hats!
Try this style: Gigi Pip Teddy Cattleman
GAP
6. 'Skinny' Silhouettes
We know ā who decided to bring back the 'skinny' trend? We're just as shocked as you are, but Sockel's seeing an increased interested in it. "Rumor has it skinny jeans are staging a comeback. While wide-leg jeans remain the most requested silhouette, 2025 is set to spotlight elevated night-out looks featuring bold prints and unexpected shapesāa vibe Stitch Fix is calling the "Corner Booth" trend."
Her suggestion? "Picture faux leather skinny jeans paired with a cut-out top and animal print booties, which saw a 400% spike in client searches between June and September 2024."
Try this style: GAP High Rise True Skinny Jeans
Old Navy
7. Minimalism
Overall? Ekren says, "Less is definitely more next year, but not in a boring way. I see minimalist style leaning toward higher-quality fabrics and well-placed accents, like subtle embroidery or textured fabrics."
You can still have fun with this trend even though it's not full of statement pieces. Ekren believes "simple doesn't have to mean plain" and we couldn't agree more!
Try this style: Old Navy SoComfy Drop-Shoulder Crew Neck Sweatshirt

Do you love dogs yet dread the constant cleaning that comes with shedding? Countless people can relate.
But while every dog owner knows a little fur is inevitable, certain breeds are known for being lower-shedding.
Whether you suffer from allergies or just want to reduce the time you spend cleaning up hair around your living space, here are 12 low-shedding dog breeds that'll make great additions to your household (without the mess).
Scroll to find out the best low-shedding dog breeds!
1. Poodles
Poodles are known for their hypoallergenic coats, so they shed very little and are ideal for anyone seeking a low-shedding pet.
This breed also comes in three sizes, the Standard, Miniature, and Toy, and is easy to train due to its high intelligence. Just keep in mind that, regardless of their size, all Poodles require regular grooming to keep their curly coats free from mats and tangles.
2. Bichon Frise
Just like the Poodle, the Bichon Frise is another breed that features a hypoallergenic coat. These dogs are tiny, cheerful, and popular due to their friendly nature.
Plus, they're known for being very smart and trainable, making them great family pets that keep clean up around the house to a minimum.
3. Labradoodle
Originally bred as a hypoallergenic service dog, the Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle.
These dogs inherited low-shedding coats, thanks to Poodle parents, and are favored for their friendly and affectionate nature. They thrive when given plenty of exercise and early socialization.
4. Maltese
Malteses are adorably tiny and cuddly hypoallergenic dogs prized for their silky white coats. They make playful and loving companions, but owners have to stay on top of their grooming routine.
If you prefer that your Maltese has a longer coat, regular maintenance is important to prevent any mats. Otherwise, keeping a shorter "puppy" cut can make grooming much easier.
5. Yorkshire Terrier
Affectionately referred to as "Yorkies," Yorkshire Terriers are little hypoallergenic dogs with big personalities. They crave attention and are very loyal to their owners.
These pups also shed minimally and can adapt well to a range of households, from cozy apartments to spacious homes.
6. Schnauzers
You may not know that there are three Schnauzer breeds, including the Miniature Schnauzer, the Standard Schnauzer, and the Giant Schnauzer. Despite their size differences, all three are low-shedding.
Miniature Schnauzers are revered for their intelligence and typically weigh between 10 and 20 pounds. Standard Schnauzers, on the other hand, are also known for their smarts and enjoy long walks and mental stimulation. They just can weigh as much as 45 pounds.
Giant Schnauzers can reach up to 85 pounds and are some of the largest hypoallergenic dogs. To keep these pups happy, give them a lot of playtime and exercise.
7. Havanese
Paul Groom Photography Bristol
The Havanese is a little, playful breed that's popular for its charming personality and silky coat that doesn't shed much.
These furry friends adore human interaction, making them devoted companions, and are considered low-shedding. All they need is some regular grooming to keep their coat smooth and tangle-free.
8. Italian Greyhound
Italian Greyhounds are sleek and elegant, featuring short, smooth coats that barely shed. Contrary to what their graceful appearance might suggest, these dogs are also very playful, affectionate, and sensitive.
If you're searching for a sophisticated yet loving dog that doesn't require a lot of cleanup, this breed may be your perfect match.
9. Portuguese Water Dog
Portuguese Water Dogs were first bred to work alongside fishermen. Today, they're regaled for their energy and athleticism, making them a great option for active families.
These dogs also have hypoallergenic fur and don't shed much. If you're an outdoor enthusiast who wants to maintain a fur-free home, the Portuguese Water Dog might be the pet for you.
10. Basenji
This unique, cat-like breed is famous for its barkless nature. It actually makes a distinctive "yodel" sound!
Basenjis are very intelligent, playful, and sometimes mischievous, with a high prey drive. Additionally, they don't shed a lot, have minimal grooming requirements, and are often free from usual canine odors.
11. Shih Tzu
The Shih Tzu was initially bred as a companion pet in China and has remained a famous lap dog to this day. They love human company and usually stick to their owners' sides.
But while they're low-shedding, these dogs will still grow a long, luxurious coat that requires regular grooming. Otherwise, you can keep it trimmed shorter for easier maintenance.
12. Brussels Griffon
Lastly, the Brussels Griffon is a small breed with a rough coat that's non-shedding and simple to groom. That's why these dogs are stellar choices for anyone seeking a low-maintenance pet.
In terms of temperament, Brussels Griffons are smart, affectionate, sensitive, and quite cuddly.

Since I just harped on all the dreary, outdated shoe trends for 2025, it's only fair I give you all the options you should wear in the new year! I also heard you when you said to let people wear what they want... Since I try to be a girl's girl, I want to give you as many exciting shoe trends that'll align with your personal style as well.
Instead of solely relying on my own wits this time, I reached out to Stitch Fix stylish Jessica Sockel; fashion expert and principal of The Curio, Maggie Gillette Sowislo; personal stylist Sarah Brandt of Shop the City; and Rusty Hall, CEO of Mephisto USA. Here's what stylists and fashion experts have to say about all the best shoe trends for 2025!
Scroll for all the 2025 shoe trends your feet ā and outfits ā will love!
Steve Madden
1. 'Mocha Mousse' Kitten Heel Boots
Don't fight it ā this style is back and better than ever. "We have all seen that Pantone has named 'Mocha Mousse' [color of the year], cementing that brown has surpassed black as the go-to neutral," Brandt muses. As for why she believes kitten heels boots will be a popular style in 2025, she believes it's a "super wearable" choice "for the colder weather months."

2. Elevated loafers and flats on par with 'Quiet Luxury'
Did you really think we were done with quiet luxury? This is a trend that "focuses on classic design and high quality materials," according to Hall. After the success of, well, Succession, people aren't ready to let this trend go ā and I don't blame them! Hall says, "Weāre seeing a movement away from runway and status brands of the past several years, and instead, consumers have been drawn toward the echo of vintage style."
Hall also feels like people are looking to add comfort instead of "overabundance" to their wardrobes. He explained that after the pandemic, "comfort has prevailed as a predominant factor in shopping for footwear." You'll want to steer clear of gaudy designs with this shoe trend, instead reaching for "shoes with premium construction and materials" that don't have "noisy logos."
If you want a little bit of height, Sockel says "chunky loafers became a go-to for achieving the 'Prep School' aesthetic." She also saw that "ballet flats were a top request, with 38% of shoppers seeking ways to style them."

3. Low profile sneakers
This year saw the rise of the 'errand' or everyday sneaker. Hall says, "In contrast to the chunky sneaker silhouette, low-profile sneakers have been trending in 2024, and expect to see that trend continue in 2025."He adds that they're "defined by the upper confirming closely to the foot and lack of support around the ankle" making them "exceptionally versatile".
Both he and Brandt agree that the "iconic Adidas Sambas" are the driving force behind this with the latter adding, "But as they can be hard to come by, Iām seeing some alternate sneakers take the stage ā particularly the Adidas SL72, and Onitsuka Tigers, especially the Mexico 66s."
If you need inspo for how to style them! Hall has a couple of tips because "the timeless low-profile look isn't going anywhere." He feels pairing them with "bell bottoms or flare-legged jeans" because they "create a long, clean line."

4. Colorful shoes
The world already feels like a mess sometimes ā why not be bold and have fun with your outfits?! While you continue leaning into the red and burgundy shades that continued to trend this year, Hall feels that "turquoise, fuchsia, and yellow tones will brighten up this spring from the past couple of seasons of neutrals."
Another outfit tip he has is to "opt for white and soft ecru shades in the rest of the outfit" as this will "help these bold colors speak for themselves."

5. T-Strap Shoes
If you're still watching The Great Gatsby, you may be familiar with what Gillette Sowislo calls the "new shoe profile." In other words, she feels they're "an update on the Mary Jane trend we've been seeing for a few seasons."
We couldn't get enough of the revival of this that trend so it's going to be exciting to see you and other shoppers rock them with your 2025 outfits. Honestly, Sowislo is sure that "this versatile design can be found in flats, heels, and wedges."

6. Wooden Platform Shoes
Wooden platform shoes are having their comeback moment; more notably clogs. Sowislo says, "Since Chloe designer Chemena Kamali decked out the front row of her show in matching wood-bottomed platform sandals, the trend for boho-inspired shoes has risen. These can look like the playful platforms she debuted or be a more practical pair of everyday clogs."
Sockel added, "Looking ahead, we [Stitch Fix] predict a shift toward heeled shoesāthink chic booties, clogs, and sandalsāthat pair seamlessly with oversized jeans and a simple tee for an effortlessly polished āEasy Streetā look."

As much as we'd love to hear that BridgertonSeason 4 is releasing earlier than next year, we'll have to settle for as many teasers and first looks as we can get for now! Fans already know Yerin Ha will be stepping into Sophie Baek's shoes alongside Luke Thompson as Benedict, but Netflix finally released something that'll keep us satiated for a while. We can't promise much else ā except these two are clearly going to make our hearts race when they're finally on-screen.
Here's the official Bridgerton Season 4 first look with Sophie & Benedict!
Liam Daniel/Netflix
Benedict's always been one of the lighthearted Bridgerton siblings, but Season 3 showed up just how, uh, free he can be. While he and Eloise did discuss their mutual feelings of wanting to explore life, it seems our loving bachelor is set on finding love in unexpected places.
Liam Daniel/Netflix
Benedict may not have fallen in love with Tilley, but it appears he's head over heels for Sophie and we think it's adorable. But, there's one glaring problem: Sophie's a maid who has plenty of secrets.
Never before have any of the Bridgerton children gotten romantically involved with someone who's in another social class, so this already sounds scandalous.
Liam Daniel/Netflix
Ah, but what will the watchful Queen Charlotte think? Remember, she was certain she was going to expose and punish Lady Whistledown before Penelope's moving speech got her to change her mind. We can only guess how she'll feel about the Bridgertons once she learns of Benedict and Sophie's forbidden romance.
In the meantime, we're already dreaming up as much as we can about this exciting season with these pictures! Oh, and did we mention there's a video too?!
Watch The 'Bridgerton' Season 4 Sneak Peak Here!

Seriously...season 4 can't come fast enough!!!
We can't wait to see how Benedict and Sophie's love shakes up the Ton in Season 4. We're sure Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury will have much to discuss!
Lately, we don't have to look far for doomsday news or potential policies that make us feel like a dystopian future will soon be our reality. Although we like to joke about it, we've seen pop culture seemingly predict our current societal and political landscape via everything from episodes of the The Simpsons to the books we've read over the years, wondering how these fictitious communities could experience horrible environments at the hands of others' decisions.
Since art is often bred from very real feelings about history's patterns, we think it's time to open a few relatable books. In our eyes, unprecedented times call for reading thought-provoking work that may seem bleak, but offers hope set in motion by one person's courage in the face of oppression and fear. These are the best dystopian books you should read in 2025.
Here are 15 dystopian books to read if you're tired of doom scrolling on social media.
