11 Subscription Boxes You Should Gift This Holiday Season

Now that the holidays are fast approaching, it’s time to think of all the folks on your list for whom you need to buy presents (check out our tech gift guide if you haven’t yet!). The beauty of subscription gifts is that it’s the present that doesn’t require you to leave the house to purchase — you can do it in your PJs, at home and in bed! — and also, it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Basically, it’s the perfect choice for the lazy and generous. Scroll on for some subscription box gifts ideas everyone on your list will love.

1. Function of Beauty ($32 or $42): Function of Beauty shampoos and conditioners are entirely customizable, from the color to the scent of the product. Simply have ’em take a hair quiz to determine the hair concerns they want to address, choose their hair type, and voilà! A totally personalized hair regimen just for your mom/husband/girlfriend/etc. You get the picture.

2. Smile Direct Club ($1500 or $99/Month): Give someone the gift of a perfect smile. While Smile Direct Club is best for minor adjustments, it’s kind of a steal in terms of orthodontic work. All your loved one needs to do is take a smile assessment to determine if he or she is a good candidate, then Smile Direct Club will mail over an easy-to-use kit to make molds, and they’ll begin sending over week by week aligners that will make their smile perfect.

3. Graze ($12/Box): Graze is the best gift for keeping someone’s hangry at bay. Every box is packed with eight delicious snack packs of Graze’s own creation, and you can choose for the boxes to be delivered every week, two weeks or month. Plus, their library of snacks is MASSIVE. Get ready to feast.

4. Ritual Vitamins ($30/Month): Keep your gift recipient healthy with a subscription to Ritual. These two-a-day women’s vitamins are incredibly transparent with their ingredient sources (you can even read up on detailed info from the lead researchers from the source) and are backed by science. Only the good stuff here.

5. Le Tote ($39 or $59/Month): No one is going to say no to a box of beautiful clothing you can try out, keep as long as you want and even sell you what you LOVE from it at a discount. Le Tote has a great collection of everything from tops to accessories, so the fashionista in your life can always stay stylish.

6. Quip ($40 Upfront then $10/3 Months): While we all know dental hygiene is deeply important, perhaps you think giving someone a subscription to toothbrushes and toothpaste sounds not all that fun. Welp, Quip might change your mind about that. You pay $40 up front for a sleek electric toothbrush that comes in six pretty colors (it comes with toothbrush, a travel cover mount, a large toothpaste and a small toothpaste), then $10 every three months after that for a replacement brush head, another large toothpaste, a small toothpaste and a AAA battery.

7. Birchbox ($30/3 Months): No subscription gift guide would be complete without the OG of subscription gifts: Birchbox. Six years after the birth of Birchbox, the company — and the samples inside — are better than ever. Subscribe your friend now and she’ll receive the special holiday edition of the box. Also, there’s Birchbox for Men as well now!

8. Sephora Play! Box ($10/Month): Many folks don’t realize that Sephora also has a subscription model for deluxe sized samples called Play! At a competitive $10 a month, you get a box full of travel and sample-sized goodies. The only problem is the service has been so popular, there’s a waitlist to get on it! Don’t worry though. The beauty co. is working to expand the number of subscriptions by the month.

9. The Book Drop ($16/Month): The bookworm in your life is going to love this! For just $16 a month, he or she will receive a box of five different titles. You can even cater to his or her reading interests by selecting a different themed box: The Jane for readers interested in tales about women, The Ernest for folks who like stories about men, a YA selection and one for kids too!

10. Vinyl Me, Please ($100/3 Months): This is the perfect subscription gift for the record-zealot you know. Gifts come in three, six or 12-month options and is basically a digital gift card for their record library. Every month, she’ll receive an LP pressed exclusively for Vinyl Me, Please members, an original 12”x12” art print inspired by the album, a custom cocktail recipe, access to The Standard and access to member-exclusive inventory in Vinyl Me, Please’s online store. Pretty sweet deal!

11. MealPal (20 meals for $6/Meal): In case you can’t always take your fave person out for a meal, with MealPal, you CAN buy him or her lunch! The best part is the package for 20 meals a month nets out to less than $6 a meal. All he or she has to do is select their meal the day before, and come lunchtime, stroll out nearby to pick it up. Currently, MealPal is available in NYC, San Francisco, DC, Miami and Chicago.

In your weekly horoscope, the stars are serving up a potent blend of "me" and "we" with a Full Moon in Libra on Saturday. Think of it as a cosmic Marie Kondo moment – what relationships (or ways of being in them) spark joy...and what needs to go? Plus, fiery Aries is still kicking, but get this: dreamy Neptune is sliding into its territory for a long stay. Buckle up — things are about to get interesting. Your weekly horoscope intel starts right here!

Scroll to see your zodiac sign's radical weekly horoscope for April 6-13!

Ksenia Chernaya

The Full Moon in Libra arrives on Saturday, April 12, offering a powerful opportunity to balance the energies of Libra and Aries — the harmony between "we" and "me."To truly support and serve others, we must first be grounded in our own strength and well-being. Ask yourself: are you giving too much of yourself in the name of keeping the peace? This Full Moon illuminates what no longer serves you, guiding you to release it and restore your inner balance.

The archetype of Aries continues to resonate through the collective and will be with us for years to come. As we approach the final days of the Sun in Aries, let’s use this time to deepen our connection to its potent energy and harness it for the greater good.

Aries is a fire sign. It is the bold, courageous warrior of the zodiac — a symbol of new beginnings and willful action. It invites us to assert ourselves, live with authenticity, and take initiative. At its highest, Aries is altruistic and advocates for the vulnerable. Yet, its intensity can spill into aggression or impulsiveness. When guided by wisdom and awareness, this fiery energy becomes a powerful force for progress. But without grounding, it can be reckless and disruptive.

Neptune’s recent move into Aries (March 30, 2025) marks a significant generational shift that will unfold through 2039. Neptune brings dreaminess, spirituality, and idealism — hallmarks of Pisces. As I’ve written before, let’s hope we witness the rise of the peaceful (Pisces) warrior (Aries) and that global leaders channel this blend into compassionate, proactive change.

Leeloo The First

On April 15, Mercury enters Aries, urging us to speak up and speak out. This transit energizes our minds and sharpens our tongues — encouraging bold ideas and courageous dialogue. Use it to initiate action or finally speak truths long held back. Just remember: words have power. Aim for clarity, not conflict.

Mars, Aries’ ruling planet, charges into Leo on April 17, igniting double firepower. This combination emboldens us to act from the heart, pursue dreams, and live in alignment with our true selves. But with two fiery signs in play, the energy can be combustible. Channel it wisely, and ensure your passion is tempered with care for others.

Then on April 19, the Sun moves into earthy, grounded Taurus. This is the perfect time to commit — or recommit — to routines that promote stability and presence. Taurus offers steady, practical energy that supports us in building something sustainable and meaningful.

Here's Your Zodiac Sign's Weekly Horoscope!

Brit + Co

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Past experiences may resurface in surprising ways, offering you a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come. Have compassion for who you were and what you knew then. Your willingness to grow is a testament to your resilience. Let your past inform — not define — your next steps. There’s wisdom to be gained if you stay open to it.

Brit + Co

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

You may find your mind more active than usual, inspiring a new level of clarity in your communication. Trust your voice, but don’t underestimate the impact your words can have. Speak with both conviction and care. Relationships will benefit from honest, heartfelt conversations — if you remember to listen as deeply as you speak.

Brit + Co

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Your beliefs may be challenged this week, pushing you to defend your position. This is an opportunity to examine whether your actions still align with your values. Engage in dialogue only when you feel centered and clear. There’s strength in knowing when to speak — and when to hold your peace. Use both logic and heart as you confidently assert yourself.

Brit + Co

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

A surge of motivation pushes you to pursue your goals with new intensity. You may feel called to take a stand or lead a charge, even if it’s unfamiliar territory. Trust your instincts, but don’t lose your compassion in the process. Collaboration can elevate your efforts. Lead with the goal to empower others for their own development and the success of the effort.

Brit + Co

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

You are ready to confront old behaviors that have limited your self-expression. This is a week of deep personal insight, if you’re willing to sit with discomfort and embrace the truth of who you are. Let go of shame and assumptions about who you are or how you should act. Use this time to step more fully into your authenticity. Solitude, journaling, and honest conversation will serve you well.

Brit + Co

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

This is a good time to recalibrate and reassess your aspirations. Do your current goals reflect your evolving identity? Don’t be afraid to revise your plans. Dialogue with trusted allies can help reshape your vision. Shared efforts will thrive if grounded in mutual respect. Include physical movement in any group activity to stay clear, present and attuned to your deeper wisdom.

Brit + Co

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Big questions about your path may arise. Are you fulfilled in your work? Does your ambition reflect your inner truth or an external ideal? You may be ready to take bold steps toward realignment. If you feel the urge to break away or go solo, trust it — but also clarify your motivations and fine tune your strategies. Success will follow integrity.

Brit + Co

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Your worldview is shifting, and your soul is craving something deeper. Invite the sacred into your creativity. Dreams may be vivid, and rest might be elusive. This is a time for inspired exploration, but stay grounded. Let your passions manifest in new ways. Be adventuresome and willing to learn from new experiences.

Brit + Co

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

An inner transformation is calling. You likely feel a desire to grow and evolve. If you’re feeling emotional turbulence in your relationships, especially around resources, there’s likely more beneath the surface. Seek counsel from those you trust. What’s asking to be healed now will open doors to a more authentic version of yourself and a deeper connection with others.

Brit + Co

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Fairness, clarity, and integrity are your guiding stars this week. In negotiations, make sure everyone’s voice is heard. Stay true to your core values and maintain a high degree of integrity. If contracts or legal matters are involved, don’t hesitate to seek expert guidance. When your actions are rooted in justice and truth, favorable outcomes are likely.

Brit + Co

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

You have the energy to accomplish a great deal, but you’ll need structure to avoid scattering your focus. Return to your routines and refine them where needed. Pay close attention to your body’s needs. Movement, nourishment, and rest are essential to sustain your momentum in the long-term. Carve out space to work away from distractions.

Brit + Co

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

This is a time to fully embrace your creative spirit and explore what brings you joy. Let go of the impulse to hold back. Whether through art, movement, music, or play — express yourself freely. Allow your inner child to guide you. What you create now carries a vibrancy that will uplift you — and those around you — for weeks to come.

The only thing keeping me from being upset about A Court of Thorns and Roses TV show being canceled is how well Hulu handled it's newest thriller, Paradise. Created by screenwriter Dan Fogelman (This Is Us) and starring Sterling K. Brown, it's a murder mystery with dystopian undertones that explores what could happen if states become uninhabitable.

Besides feeling relevant to our current timeline, Paradise has a soundtrack that rivals Strangers Things and leaves viewers wanting more. Fortunately, Hulu got the memo and renewed it for season 2 — thank goodness!

Here's everything to know about Paradise season 2!

Who's a part of the cast for Paradise season 2?

Disney/Cristian Lopez

Sterling K. Brown is already slated to return as Agent Xavier Collins (of course), but there's more new cast members in town! Deadline reports Shailene Woodley (Divergent, The Fault in Our Stars, and Big Little Lies) will be starring in Paradise season 2. According to the outlet, there's a chance she'll be one of the survivors that exist outside of Paradise (the bunker's community name) and will meet Agent Xavier Collins.

Additionally, Deadlinealso shared Michael McGrady (Ray Donovan), Thomas Doherty (Tell Me Lies) and Timothy Omundson (Supernatural) will make regular appearances throughout the show. The outlet is confident they're going to be in a gang that'll have a prominent affect on Paradise season 2's storyline (via Deadline).

I can't wait to see everyone in action!

Has Paradise season 2 began filming?

I'm pinching myself because Paradise season 2 has started filming! Dan Fogelman shared the amazing news on his Instagram and his comments are buzzing with excitement! "We’re baaaaaaaack. #Paradise#S2," he wrote which means we could see Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nichols on our screens sooner than anticipated.

This comes after an update Fogelman shared with a hopeful fan on X. In response to a fear viewers would have to wait a long time to see more action from our new favorite characters, Fogelman put all fears aside. "we start shooting in just a few weeks. It won’t be 2 years I promise! #Paradise," he said.

When does Paradise season 2 premiere?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Filming just started for Paradise season 2, so a premiere date for it hasn't been shared yet. But at the rate Fogelman's going, we could possibly see the thriller series on Hulu towards the end of the year or at the beginning of 2026!

For now, fans can rewatch Season 1 on Hulu or when it appears on ABC April 7 at 10:00 p.m. (via The Hollywood Reporter).

What is Paradise about?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Paradise begins in an idyllic community where homes are picturesque, streets are clean, and everyone lives in perfect harmony. However, it doesn't take long for the peace to be disturbed when the President is discovered murdered by his trusted Secret Service agent Xavier Collins.

Before long, he begins questioning the world he and his children live in while also searching for clues about his missing wife.

Who was in the Paradise season 1 cast?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Paradise Season 1 had a stacked cast! Besides Sterling K. Brown, there's other familiar faces who helped with the show's equilibrium.

  • Sterling K. Brown as Xavier Collins
  • James Marsden as President Cal Bradford
  • Julianne Nicholson as "Sinatra"
  • Krys Marshall as Robinson
  • Sarah Shahi as Dr. Gabriela Torabi
  • Jon Beavers as Billy Pace
  • Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane Driscoll
  • Aliyah Mastin as Presley Collins
  • Percy Daggs IV as James Collins
  • Charlie Evans as Jeremy Bradford
  • Richard Robichaux as Carl

What's happened in Paradise so far?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Wow, where do I begin?!

After it was revealed that the community he and everyone else lives in has been artificially created due to a disaster, the brief moments of unease Collins shows begins making sense. It's clear he and President Cal ended on bad terms before his death, but it doesn't seem like he was responsible for murdering the man he was sworn to protect.

What's odd is that Sinatra, the mastermind behind the beautiful community they live in, has been playing puppet master. She ordered the deaths of scientists sent to the surface to test the air quality AND she made sure Agent Billy was blindsided by his love interest's manipulation. Upsettingly, his murderer is none other than seemingly docile and clueless Agent Jane.

Viewers were also introduced to President Cal's father and were able to see how much he never wanted to be the face of the country. Though his father appears to have dementia, it's clear he feels guilty about something and may have seen who killed his son.

When did the season finale of Paradise season air?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Paradise left off on several cliffhangers on Hulu March 4!

How many seasons of Paradise will there be?

Disney/Brian Roedel

Dan Fogelman already knows what he wants to do with Paradise! He said, "I have a plan for three seasons of the show. Without giving away too much, each season of the show is a slightly different show, within the same show with the same characters," (via The Hollywood Reporter).

This post has been updated.

While we're all sad about The White Lotus season 3 coming to a close following the shocking finale, there is some good news: the show was already renewed for a fourth season! That means fans of the drama and debauchery will definitely be getting another fix soon. But where will our next dose be set?

All three iterations of The White Lotusthus far have been set in tropical destinations, with filming at The Four Seasons. According to executive producer David Bernad, the series continues to use this specific luxury resort chain since they were "the one hotel that let us shoot there."

Let's do a quick recap: season 1 was set in Hawaii, season 2 was in Italy, and season 3 was, of course, Thailand. These locales aren't chosen at random, either, but are rather picked to match each season's theme.

"For example, Koh Samui was not only chosen for its visually stunning environment overlooking the Gulf of Thailand but also for its thematic alignment with the season's exploration of Eastern spirituality and existential themes," detailed the chief commercial officer of Four Seasons Hotels, Marc Speichert.

However, fans have noticed how creator Mike White hasn't repeated any continents. Plus, each of the past filming locales was tropical, which may suggest the next season will go against the grain in a chillier region. With all this in mind, here are the locations rumored to be top contenders for The White Lotus season 4.

Here are the top locations we think The White Lotusseason 4 could take place!

1. Mexico or Egypt

While these two destinations are thousands of miles apart, we're grouping them together for one main reason: an insider spoke to Parade and claimed the show's producers were scouting both spots.

"Right now, it's looking like the next season of The White Lotus will be shot in Egypt or Mexico. They want to pick somewhere they haven't shot yet, so a new continent. They want to go somewhere completely new since this season is in Asia, which is why they're between the two. The decision should be made soon," the insider alleged.

This would make sense, given that both Mexico City and Punta Mita have The Four Seasons.

2. Australia

Another possible option is Australia. In fact, Mike White admitted it would be his "dream" to hit every single continent with the show.

"We kind of have to come to Australia if we keep going. It would be so fun. Obviously, there's a huge wealth of talent here, and the beauty is inarguable, so it feels like it checks all the boxes," he shared. (via Yahoo! News)

3. Norway

Lastly, I'm sure that a colder destination, like Norway, would help infuse brand-new antics into The White Lotus. Mike White supposedly scouted locations in the country, too, and reportedly spoke to the Norwegian Film Institute about a grant to film on location.

Unfortunately, though, executive producer David Bernad doesn't think it's actually in the cards, pointing out how Mike White isn't a fan of the cold.

During an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, he continued, "[Mike] is a California guy. He is not built for the cold. Never say never, but I would be surprised."

If The White Lotus remains so successful, it seems inevitable that the show will eventually have to venture to a non-tropical locale. But, for now, there are still plenty of filming location options, and we'll just have to stay tuned regarding where the season 4 batch of entitled travelers goes next.
