Awards season is nearing its big finale! On Tuesday morning, the 2018 Oscar nominees were announced live from the Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles. Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis were on hand to make the announcements alongside pre-taped category introductions from guests such as Gal Gadot, Zoe Saldana, Salma Hayek, Priyanka Chopra, Rosario Dawson, and more.
Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water continues its awards season streak and leads with a whopping 13 nominations. Dunkirk follows with eight.
Unlike at the Golden Globes, women were not entirely shut out of the directing category — Greta Gerwig earned a nomination for her feature Lady Bird (which itself racked up five nods).
The nominations also included some history in the making: Mudbound‘s Rachel Morrison became the first woman ever to be Oscar-nominated for Best Cinematography
The Oscars will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, March 4, at 8pm ET/5pm PT on ABC. In the meantime, check out the full list of nominees below.
