It’s week two of the Tone It Up Tour Fitness Festival and our muscles are feeling it! It’s been so amazing to work out with CorePower Yoga, Jillian Michaels, and all the strong, gorgeous girls who have been bringing so much love.
When you’re rocking lots of workouts, it’s essential to stretch your beautiful muscles. Not only does it feel amazing to soothe those sore spots, but stretching is also a crucial part of sculpting long, sexy muscles. The more elasticity your muscles have, the stronger they will be!
Today we’re rounding up five of our absolute favorite stretching moves. These are the perfect way to end any workout!
1. Booty Stretch: From a seated position, cross your right leg over your left with both legs bent. Rotate your upper body to the right as you lengthen through your obliques and across your right glute.
Hold for 30-60 seconds on each side.
2. Side Stretch: Start standing with your feet hip-width apart. Clasp your hands together over your head and lean to your right side as you exhale.
Hold for 30-60 seconds on each side.
3. Hamstring Stretch: Start standing with a slight bend in your knees. Bend at the hips and fold your upper body toward your legs. Try clasping your hands to opposite elbows for a deeper stretch.
Hold for 30-60 seconds.
4. Half Pigeon: From a tabletop position, thread your right leg through your hands to form a 90-degree angle on the mat with your left leg extended behind you. Fold your upper body over your right leg, forearms resting on the mat in front of you.
Hold for 30-60 seconds on each side.
5. Tabletop Shoulder Stretch: Start in a tabletop position. Reach your right arm up and thread it through your left, touching your right shoulder to the mat. Repeat on the opposite side.
Hold for 30-60 seconds on each side.
