9 Gilmore Girl Revival Fan Theories That Will Probably Happen for REAL

If you seriously can’t wait to get back to Stars Hollow, Friday can’t come fast enough! As Gilmore Girls, A Year in the Lifemakes its way to Netflix, we can all get back to Friday night dinners, marathon movie binges and coffee, coffee and more coffee! The show’s creators have done a great job of keeping the plot of the revival a surprise (thanks for that), but they have dropped some major hints along the way. We know it takes place about nine years after we last left our favorite small town in Connecticut. The gals and the pop cultural references are also just as spunky as ever. Here are nine other fan theories that we now know will probably happen for real.

1. Emily Gilmore will find joy again. We know that in the trailer for the new episodes, Emily is feeling alone and lost after the death of her late husband, Richard. She’s even (OMG) wearing a Candies T-shirt from Kohl’s and practicing Marie Kondo’s method of purging your belongings if they don’t give you joy. Never count Emily Gilmore out though; she’s got a few tricks left up her (expensive) sleeves. Predictions include becoming an entrepreneur and starting her own business or traveling the world with Lorelai. You never really know what to expect next from Emily Gilmore, after all. 2. There will be a wedding. In the trailer, Lorelai is standing in front of a bunch of bridal-looking fabrics. So we know there will be a wedding at some point in the reboot. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear who exactly is getting married. Our money is on Rory, though, because #TeamLogan forever. Plus, hint hint, Logan is Rory’s only beau to make an appearance in all four episodes. (Photo via Netflix)

3. Rory will have a new boo at some point. There are some fun new characters that make an appearance in the reboot. One of them is Paul (played by Jack Carpenter), who is rumored to be Rory’s boyfriend in one of the new episodes. (Photo via Netflix)

4. Rory becomes a teacher. Journalism is a hard gig to come by these days, and at the start of the reboot, Rory is out of a job (plus has no credit or underwear, ha!). We do know she eventually lands a job teaching, and possibly at Chilton, where Paris might be headmaster. Holy moly! (Photo via Netflix)

5. There will be a battle for Lorelai’s love. Lorelai’s old flings, Max and Christopher, will be back in the reboot. And both of them will try to win Lorelai back. TBD what happens with the Luke love triangle in the end. (Photo via Netflix)

6. Someone is preggers. In season five of the show, when Lorelai thinks she is pregnant, she suddenly is craving apples. Netflix dropped this huge bombshell in their Instagram account a few months ago, so we know a baby is on the way. Whether it is Lorelai or Rory, and who the heck the father is, also TBD.

7. The girls are still on an all junk food diet. The healthy organic eating trend wasn’t such a big thing when the show ended in 2007. Thankfully, that whole clean eating thing was lost on Lorelai and Rory. We already know the Gilmore Gals are still binging on tater tots, donuts and Chinese food. Phew! (Photo via Netflix)

8. …and still drinking coffee non-stop. In the new trailer, Lorelai even says she possibly was coffee in a former life, ha! So we know the passion for java hasn’t slowed down.

9. Those final four words will be… We still don’t know what the final four words of the show will be because writer Amy Sherman-Palladino has apparently been hiding from us FOREVER. But they will likely be between Rory and Lorelai, because BFFs and mother/daughter love lasts 4ever. (Photo via Netflix)

Thanks to the eternal popularity of Gilmore Girls, we all know mother-daughter shows are some of the best around. And if you ask me, Ginny and Georgia are totally the next Rory and Lorelai. If you're looking for a new series to binge while getting cozy this winter, then look no further than Ginny & Georgia. It's got intrigue, it's got romance, it's got drama — which is exactly why it's one of the Netflix shows you should binge on a break!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season 3.

When does season 3 of Ginny & Georgia come out?

Brooke Palmer/Netflix

You can stream Ginny & Georgia on Netflix starting June 5, 2025.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3 about?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia follows the titular mother-daughter duo (plus Ginny's little brother Austin) who move from Texas to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the death of Georgia's husband. But while a new town, a new school, and new friends can be complicated on their own, things get even messier in season 2 when Ginny discovers her step-dad's death wasn't an accident.

And at the end of season 2, Georgia's arrested for murder in the middle of her wedding reception. This was "always the plan," according to creator Sarah Lampert. "How we pitched season 1 and then how we ended our pitch of season 2 was, 'Then Georgia's married to Paul, they're having their first dance, and she's arrested for murder,'" she told People in January 2023.

"I'm blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that's what you're going to see in season 3," actress Brianne Howey says. "You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven't seen yet. So, she has to use that grit in all new ways."

Who's in the cast?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.

How old was Georgia when she had Ginny?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Georgia was 15 years old when she gave birth to Ginny. This is another detail that reminds us of Gilmore Girls since Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory!

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia season 3 is premiering June 5, 2025 on Netflix, which is where you can stream all 20 episodes of the show (10 in season one and 10 in season two). It's safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will also have 10 episodes.

Yes, a brand new I Know What You Did Last Summer is coming to theaters this summer. But just because it's a new film doesn't mean it won't have plenty of nostalgia.

"There's lots of '90s in there, so get excited because the '90s are back again!" Jennifer Love Hewitt, who's returning for the movie, told People. "And there's lots of twists and turns. I don't think people are going to expect anything that's coming. It's a really fun ride."

If you somehow missed the fact that Katy Perry went to space this week, there's a good chance you've still seen all the memes about the fact Katy and the rest of the Blue Origin crew were only in space for 11 minutes. On this week's episode of Yap City, we talk all things celebrity social media chaos — from Katy singing "What a Wonderful World" in space to Aimee Lou Wood calling out SNL and the entire internet losing it over Pedro Pascal's glasses in The Last of Us season 2 premiere. Anyway, let's get into the Katy Perry & space of it all.

Why did Katy Perry go to space? Y'all, I'm wondering that too. Here's everything we know.

Why did Katy Perry go to space?

The Blue Origin NS-31 mission — done by the first all-female space crew in over 60 years — is part of the organization's own mission to "enable future [space] exploration."

"This is all for the benefit of Earth," Katy Perry told USA Today. "I wanted to model courage and worthiness and fearlessness.

How long was Katy Perry's space flight?

Katy Perry's entire space journey lasted around 11 minutes, which means she was only truly in space for a few minutes before returning to earth. It also means her journey was shorter than Taylor Swift's All Too Well: The Short Film.

How much does it cost to go to space on Blue Origin?

Blue Origin auctioned off a ticket for their first crewed trip to space for $28 million, The New York Times reports. But the Associated Press reports Virgin Galactic has tickets between $200,000 and $450,000. All in all, a trip to space isn't cheap.

Who was on the spaceship with Katy Perry?

In addition to Katy Perry, the latest Blue Origin flight crew included Gayle King, Amanda Nguyen (a bioastronautics research scientist and the first Vietnamese woman in space!), Aisha Bowe (who used to be a NASA rocket scientist), Lauren Sánchez (a journalist and Jeff Bezos' fiancée), and Kerianne Flynn (a film producer).

As we plunge deeper into 2025, viewers across the country are looking forward to the highly anticipated releases of new seasons of their favorite TV series. The final season of Stranger Things, for instance, is supposed to debut sometime this year, and You season 5 will premiere this month on April 24.

But as we welcome the new, we also have to say goodbye to the old. More than a few TV shows have already gotten the axe in 2025, some of which were new experiments, while others were longer-running fan favorites.

Whether due to low ratings, budget cuts, or streaming platform pivots, here are the series that have already been canceled this year — including one with The White Lotusstar, Sarah Catherine Hook.

Scroll to see which TV shows have unfortunately already been cancelled this year...

Bravo

1. Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

Bravo's Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles first premiered in 2006 and quickly became a go-to for real estate reality TV lovers. Across a whopping 15 seasons, the series followed a rotating cast of agents as they navigated the world of luxury property sales in LA, spanning from Beverly Hills to Malibu.

But unfortunately, TMZ reported in early 2025 that Bravo is "pausing" the franchise with no current plans to bring it back in its original form. So, the future of this show remains murky.

Netflix

2. The Recruit

The Recruit brought a fresh twist to the spy thriller genre after it came out on Netflix in 2022. Noah Centineo starred as Owen Hendricks, a CIA lawyer who finds himself tangled in a web of international politics.

Despite its unique premise and strong supporting cast, including Fivel Stewart, Laura Haddock, and Maddie Hasson, the show only lasted two seasons. It was officially canceled on March 5, 2025, as confirmed by cast member Colton Dunn.

Hulu

3. How to Die Alone

How to Die Alone came out in 2024 on Hulu, starring show creator Natasha Rothwell, who's perhaps best known for her role as Belinda in The White Lotus. The comedy follows her character, a JFK airport employee named Mel, who has a near-death experience and decides to finally start living her life.

This series only made it through one season before it was canceled on February 4.

Max

4. Bookie

Created by sitcom legend Chuck Lorre and writer Nick Bakay, Bookie premiered in 2023 on Max. Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco starred as a seasoned bookie trying to survive as California inches closer to legalizing sports betting.

Despite its stacked cast, including Omar Dorsey, Vanessa Ferlito, and Jorge Garcia, the show only ran for two seasons before it was axed on February 18, 2025.

Prime Video

5. The Sticky

Released in 2024 on Prime Video, The Sticky was a Canadian crime comedy with a lot of charm. Margo Martindale played Ruth Landry, a maple syrup farmer pushed to the brink by overzealous bureaucrats. So, she hatches a heist with the help of a Boston mobster and a security guard to steal from Quebec's maple syrup reserve.

While this show definitely had a fresh premise, it lasted for just one season and was canceled on February 21, 2025.

Prime Video

6. Cruel Intentions

Based on the '90s teen drama film of the same name, Cruel Intentionsreturned as a modern series in 2024 on Prime Video. Set at an elite college in Washington, D.C., the show followed scheming step-siblings Caroline and Lucien as they tried to preserve their social standing following a hazing scandal. Their solution? Seduce the Vice President's daughter.

Cruel Intentions starred Sarah Catherine Hook and Zac Burgess but was canceled on March 10, 2025, after one season.

Hulu

7. The D'Amelio Show

The D'Amelio Show debuted on Hulu in 2021 and chronicled the rise of TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D'Amelio, as well as the rest of their family, as they dealt with sudden fame and mental health challenges.

The docuseries gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their lives after turning into viral sensations, but following three seasons, it was canceled this year.

Prime Video

8. Outer Range

Finally, Outer Range first hit Prime Video in 2022, mixing Western drama with a splash of science fiction. It starred Josh Brolin as Royal Abbott, a Wyoming rancher dealing with the mysterious disappearance of his daughter-in-law, as well as a sudden power struggle with a neighboring family. Just when things couldn't get weirder, a black void appears on his land.

Other cast members included Imogen Poots, Lewis Pullman, Isabel Arraiza, and more, yet the show has been canceled after two seasons.
