It’s no secret: We love the ‘90s. So much, in fact, that we are willing to DIY just about anything to bring back some of our favorite ‘90s accessories, outfits and, yes, even snacks. We promise bedazzled ballcaps, safety pin bracelets, cassette tape crafts, bagel bites and Dunkaroos. That’s right — DUNKAROOS. You’re welcome :)
1. Flower Wreath Headband: Thank you, Drew Barrymore, for showing us the beauty of the daisy headband back in the ‘90s. Now, we’re bringing it back to teach some of the kiddies about the style power of the flower. (via Delightfully Tacky)
3. Bedazzled Ballcaps: We remember Melissa Joan Hart’s bedazzled ballcap from Clarissa Explains It All like it was yesterday. This DIY version is a chic nod to the era that made bedazzling just about anything a style must. (via Refinery 29)
4. Throwback Hair Wraps: We begged our moms to let us get hair wraps, and when they finally gave in, we cheered in victory! But now we’re all grown up, so if we want one, we’re gonna have to do it ourselves. (via U La La Iupui)
5. Choker Necklace: Uncomfortable? Slightly. Worth it? DUH! (via E-Elise Etc)
6. Safety Pin Jewelry: We all had awesome beaded safety pin bracelets back in the day, but now we can DIY a full safety pin jewelry set, complete with ring, bracelet and statement necklace. (via Brit + Co)
7. Fabric Safety Pin Bracelets: Not into beaded safety pin bracelets? Try this fabric version instead for a more subtle ‘90s accessory. (via I am Momma Hear Me Roar)
8. DIY Drawstring Halter Crop Top: Drawstring… halter… crop top. Yep, we hit the majority of ‘90s fashion trends with this one DIY. (via Love Aesthetics)
9. Reworked Vintage Overalls: Rock these reworked shortalls with some patterned tights and combat boots for a seriously ‘90s fall look. (via Drifter and the Gypsy)
10. DIY Tie Dye Sheets: Tie dye wasn’t just a ‘60s thing. It made a huge comeback in the ‘90s. DIY this tie dye sheets set to change things up for the better. (via Design Love Fest)
11. Cassette Tape Flower Arrangement: A little spray paint and a lot of glitter go a long way with this ‘90s DIY project. Who knew cassette tapes could be so colorful and sparkly?! (via The Flair Exchange)
13. Grunge Patch Backpack: Remember all of those Nirvana, yin yang and smiley face patches stashed up in your attic? Bust those bad boys out and sew them onto a backpack or shoulder bag to create an awesome ‘90s grunge carrier. This one was actually shoppable at Urban Outfitters, but we think you should use it as inspo for your next carryall project! (via Lookbook)
15. Handmade Lawn Twister: Alright, so Twister has been around since the ’60s, but don’t pretend like it wasn’t all the rage in the ’90s, too. Next time you decide to throw an outdoor shindig, whip up this handmade lawn twister to bring the joy of the ‘90s to your guests. (via Design Sponge)
16. Fortune Teller Garland: We all made these in the schoolyard, but instead of writing fortunes inside, string up these colorful fortune tellers for a playful decoration. (via Shaken Together)
17. Sand Art: These sand art pieces will make fun table decor for any party. Maybe even pop some cake pops in these puppies to make your colorful craft extra yummy! (via Moonfrye)
18. Homemade Bagel Bites: Why buy the frozen bagel bites when you can make your own round pizza bites fresh? Be generous with the garlic! (via Raining Hot Coupons)
19. Homemade Hot Pockets: Mom never stocked the freezer with sodium-laden Hot Pockets, but now you’re an adult, so feel free to whip up some pepperoni and broccoli and cheese pockets whenever you feel like it. (via Just Putzing Around the Kitchen)
20. DIY Dunkaroos: You don’t actually have to make anything for this DIY dunkaroos recipe. Just pair some Golden Grahams with Funfetti frosting, and voila! (via Buzzfeed)
21. Homemade Candy Buttons: Remember picking these colorful candy bits off that shiny white paper? Make your own at home to share the ‘90s magic of candy buttons with your kiddies. (via Sandy Toes & Popsicles)
22. Homemade Pudding Pops: Chocolate pudding pops were our ’80s and ‘90s kryptonite, so expect to see us walking around with four in hand. Sorry we’re not sorry! (via Delicious as it Looks)
