When you’re a brand that’s known for its perpetually sold-out leggings, it can be hard to follow up on the success. But somehow, ADAY, the fashion company known for its runway-worthy take on athleisure, has managed to do just that. Their latest capsule collection goes beyond athletic clothing and brings their technical, seasonless, and sustainable designs to other wardrobe essentials, that — dare we say it — may just be better than their best-selling Throw and Roll Leggings ($135).
The three-piece collection, called Technical Tailored, features a pair of pants, a tank top, and the stand-out piece — the Something Borrowed Shirt ($125). While the top maintains elements of a classic, white button-down, it is re-imagined to be more functional for the girl who’s constantly on the go. Made from their signature performance silk fabric, it’s lightweight, breathable, and, most importantly, wrinkle-free. The silhouette is relaxed without being sloppy, features a minimal bonded collar, and comes in beautiful neutrals like cloud, blush, and white.
Dress pants for women often have a bad reputation for being dated and unflattering. ADAY has solved this problem with their Turn It Up Pant ($115). The adjustable, elastic waistband and soft, stretchy fabric make this more comfortable than any dress pant you own, but the tapered fit means you still get the tailored look of a cigarette pant. Cuff the hem for a more casual look and size up for a more slouchy fit. It’s currently offered only in blue, but a black version is in the works for the future.
The final piece is an updated version of their Dream Harder Tank ($60), an airy racerback tank that’s perfect for layering or wearing on its own. Like the Something Borrowed Shirt, the tank falls like silk but has technical bonded finishes found in active wear. The moisture-wicking and wrinkle-free tank comes in a range of dark and light neutrals including steel blue, cloud, and blush.
Thanks to ADAY, we get to have the same, easy feel as leisure wear but still look polished enough for professional life.
