This New Dating App Promises to Find Your Match Using Your Sign

When it comes to dating, there isn’t really any hard science for what makes a good match. While some dating apps rely on exclusivity (The League) and photo overload (Tinder, thanks to its recent Insta-integration), other dating apps promise compatibility based on date creativity and friends-of-friends. No matter what your opinion is on dating apps, there’s one thing most of us can agree on: Horoscopes are fun, and they can make dating more fun too. While I’m still pretty dubious about the “science” behind moon and star alignments, Susan and I (that would be Susan Miller, of Astrology Zone) are basically on a first name basis, I consider the AstroTwins to be my pretend BFFs and I check in with Chani and Madame Clairvoyent on the regular. So when I learned about Align, a new dating app that promised to match users with their astrological meant-to-be, I was in.

Align Co-founders Helen Grossman and Aliza Faragher created the dating app because they were both over selfies and meaningless swiping. They wanted a way to discover matches that they werecompatible with and excited about, but without hours of sifting through potential suitors — thus, Align was born.

Signing up for Align is easy. Unlike OkCupid, there aren’t endless questions to answer, and there’s no need to think of a witty bio like on Tinder or Hinge. Instead, all you have to do is link your Facebook profile, provide your birth date, answer one question about your personality and choose six traits and emoji to define myself. Picking the traits and emoji was pretty tough, but I took inspiration from Drake and made sure the 100 emoji was in there.

What I loved about the app was the in-depth compatibility report it generated for each of my matches. Rather than forcing me to skim through boring profiles or swipe past photos, Align reveals the pros and cons of a relationship with each of my potential matched. If I liked a match, I could “align” with them and hope that the feeling was mutual, so we could start chatting. Hey, Joey in Los Angeles: Align thinks we are meant-to-be!

Of course, Align still has a few kinks to work out. The app is launching exclusively in Los Angeles, so the rest of the country will have to wait at least a few months before they can find their potential star lovers. Also, since the only photo you can use on your Align profile is your Facebook profile photo, it meant that my BFF was tagging along on my dating adventures, whether she wanted to or not. Sorry, Align, but I like my LOL-worthy profile photo too much to change it for mystery dudes.

While Align might not be for horoscope haters, it’s a fun alternative for anyone looking to dip their toes into the dating waters or an extra source of giggles over your next girls’ brunch.

Feeling a little less spring in your step lately? You're not alone. This week's tarot reading offers guidance on navigating a potential dip in energy while still embracing the exciting possibilities around us. Think of this tarot reading as a gentle nudge to connect with your inner wisdom and find your flow. Let's dive into the cards:

Here's your abundant weekly tarot card reading for April 8-13, 2025!

Frances Naudé

General Guidance: Queen of Pentacles

This week's overarching message comes through the nurturing and abundant Queen of Pentacles. This card embodies the divine feminine, fertility, and a deep connection to the earth and the world around you. It speaks of abundance in all its forms – not just material wealth, but also fulfilling relationships, creative energy, and a sense of groundedness.

However, the Queen of Pentacles also highlights a potential for a busy mind this week. You might find yourself with a flurry of ideas, passionate impulses, and a long to-do list. This can feel exciting, but it could also lead to mental clutter, anxiety, and stress.

Scarlette Alexandra De Gregorio

Here's how to work with this energy:

  • Brain Dump & Organize: The Queen of Pentacles encourages you to get those swirling thoughts out of your head. Dedicate time to brain dumping – writing down every idea, task, or concern. Once it's on paper, you can start to see things more clearly and prioritize. Consider using your calendar to map out what needs your immediate attention.
  • Seek Support: Don't hesitate to reach out for support if your mental load feels overwhelming. This could be a conversation with your therapist, a trusted friend, partner, or even a colleague to work through any lingering issues. The Queen of Pentacles suggests taking the lead in these conversations with your natural warmth and intuition.
  • Redefine Abundance: This card prompts you to consider what abundance truly means to you. Is it more time? Financial ease? Deeper connections? Once you identify your personal definition of abundance, you can become more aware of its presence in your life and actively create space to receive more of it.
  • Practice Gratitude & Reception: Abundance often shows up in unexpected ways. Pay attention to the small things – an extra five minutes in your day, a found penny, a heartfelt hug. Acknowledge and appreciate these moments. The universe notices when you're open to receiving. Don't brush past these opportunities; soak them in and express gratitude.
  • Balance Excitement & Energy: You might have a lot of exciting ideas brewing, but your energy levels might not always match that enthusiasm. The Queen of Pentacles encourages you to find a balance. It's okay to feel excited and passionate, but also listen to your body's needs.

Ultimately, the Queen of Pentacles this week is about harnessing that vibrant mental energy, grounding it through connection and clarity, and paving the way for new growth and abundance in all areas of your life. Whether you're ready to spring into action or need to take things slow, this card assures you that you have the inner resources to navigate the week with grace and intention.

Managing Your Energy: Eight of Swords & King of Wands

If you're feeling that dip in energy or a sense of being stuck, this pairing offers a powerful message: don't let it stop you.

The Eight of Swords often represents feeling trapped, paralyzed by fear, self-doubt, or overwhelming circumstances. You might feel unsure of which way to turn, worried about failure, or hesitant to even begin something new.

However, the King of Wands arrives as a potent counterpoint, urging you to take charge of your life and just start. This is a card of initiative, passion, and confident action.

Anna Mead

Here's how to navigate this potential energy slump:

  • Acknowledge, Don't Empower: It's important to acknowledge those feelings of fatigue or being stuck. However, don't let them take over. Recognize them without giving them the power to completely immobilize you.
  • Small Steps, Big Impact: The King of Wands reminds you that every journey begins with a single step. You don't need to tackle everything at once. Break down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable actions. Even a tiny step forward can break the feeling of paralysis.
  • Move with Intention: While the Queen of Pentacles highlights mental activity, the Eight of Swords and King of Wands encourage mindful movement. Go a little slower, be more intentional with your actions, and trust your own pace.
  • Tune In to Your "Why": Remember the clarity you gained from the Queen of Pentacles. What are your goals? What kind of abundance are you seeking? Connecting with your "why" can provide the motivation to take that first step, even when you don't feel like it.
  • Embrace Your Own Way: Don't feel pressured to follow someone else's timeline or approach. The King of Wands encourages you to do things your way. If everyone else is planting tomatoes, but you long for arugula, go for it!
  • Rest is Also Action: For some, the "one thing" the King of Wands encourages might be rest. Recognize that slowing down and allowing yourself to recharge is not a sign of being stuck, but rather an act of self-care and a necessary step for future action. Trust your body's wisdom.

This week, be gentle with yourself if your energy feels low. You are not stuck; you are simply being guided to move forward with intention, at your own pace, and in a way that truly aligns with your desires.

Frances Naudé

Navigating Change: Two of Wands & Queen of Wands

This pairing speaks directly to the idea of change and how to effectively bring it into your life.

The Two of Wands signifies a point of decision and planning. You might be considering different paths or feeling a desire for something new. However, this card emphasizes the importance of knowing your destination. Simply wanting things to be different isn't enough; you need to have a vision of what you want the change to be. Without a clear direction, you can easily fall into the paralysis of the Eight of Swords – knowing you don't want to be where you are, but not knowing where to go.

Enter the powerful Queen of Wands. This is the mystic, magical queen, full of authority, wisdom, and a deep connection to her intuition. She encourages you to tap into your inner knowing and spiritual practices to gain clarity on the changes you desire.

McCall C

Here's how to navigate the winds of change this week:

  • Define Your Desired Outcome: If you're feeling a pull for change, take the time to truly define what you want that change to look and feel like. Don't just focus on what you want to move away from; focus on what you want to move towards.
  • Listen to Your Soul's Whispers: The Queen of Wands suggests that the answers you seek lie within. If your head feels cluttered, your soul might be trying to communicate. Create space for that inner voice through practices like meditation, journaling, or spending time in nature.
  • Seek Intuitive Guidance: If you're struggling to hear your own intuition, consider seeking support from healers, card readers, astrologers, therapists, or anyone who helps you connect with your inner wisdom. They can help you translate your own energy and gain clarity.
  • Connect with Nature: The cards strongly encourage spending time in nature. It's a powerful way to ground yourself, quiet the mental chatter, and connect with your intuition. Simply being present in nature, without distractions, can be incredibly insightful.
  • Empowerment, Not Rush: The Queen of Wands empowers you to create the changes you desire, but not in a rushed or forced way. This goes back to the theme of slowing down and being intentional.
  • Focus Inward: Stop constantly looking outward for validation or direction. While external perspectives can be helpful, true alignment comes from making decisions based on your own inner truth and desires.
  • Apply This to Relationships: If you're experiencing challenges in relationships (especially with Venus retrograde having been in play), moving away from "I don't want this anymore" to "I want our relationship to look and feel like this" can be transformative.

Ultimately, this week's guidance emphasizes the importance of slowing down, connecting with your intuition, and gaining clarity on your desires before taking action. By balancing your mental energy with your inner wisdom and trusting your own pace, you can navigate any potential energy dips and create meaningful change in your life. Remember to nurture both the doing and the being aspects of yourself to find your unique state of alignment.

The season 3 finale of The White Lotus dropped on Sunday, and fans around the globe are still grappling with how creator Mike White chose to wrap up the latest iteration of the dark comedy.

Spoiler alert: Timothy Ratliff did not end up murdering his family (although he planned to, chickened out and almost accidentally killed Lochlan, the one child he'd planned to save); Belinda accepted Greg/Gary's bribe after getting it up to $5 million and pulled a total Tanya on Pornchai, who wanted to start a spa with her; and the three girlfriends, Laurie, Kate, and Jaclyn, all worked things out in the end. Oh, and Chelsea dies because of Rick – the one thing everyone didn't want to happen.

Chelsea, played by actress Aimee Lou Wood, quickly became one of this season's most lovable characters. However, due to her tragic death during the finale, it's pretty obvious that she won't be returning to The White Lotus for Season 4. So if you're already missing Aimee's iconic acting, we've got good news for you — there's another show you can binge right now to get your Aimee fix: Sex Education.

Prior to becoming a larger household name on The White Lotus, she actually played the character Aimee Gibbs in Sex Education, a Netflix series that came out in 2019 and ran for four whole seasons!

Don't worry, if you're still crying over the Severance season 2 ending, I have good news for you. Severance season 3 is coming to Apple TV+! The show was renewed for a junior season after the season 2 finale and the news couldn't come at a better time. I need to see the Severance cast and characters happy!!! Keep reading for everything we know about the upcoming episodes.

Here's the latest news on Severance season 3, coming to Apple TV+ soon.

What are some popular Severance season 3 theories?

Apple TV+

During a panel at Bell Works in New Jersey (where the show is filmed), Britt Lower revealed a theory the whole Severance cast is "getting a kick out of [is] Ricken being a goat," she tells People. "I think that's everyone's collective theory. You never know."

Michael Chernus (who plays Ricken in the show) says that "people have all kinds of theories about Ricken that he's a goat or that he's an Eagan or he's part of the board. I think, you know, we don't see a ton of Ricken in season 2, so I think the fact that he isn't around much makes him seem very suspicious to some people."

Fans love getting caught up in the theories, but for the team behind-the-scenes, it's a little tricky to navigate. "You have to like take all that with a grain of salt and sort of appreciate that everybody has different ideas, but we have to have our own sort of clear idea of what we're doing that is independent of that," executive producer Ben Stiller says.

However, that doesn’t mean he turns a blind eye to online chatter, saying, “I'll read a theory and I'll be like, 'Oh I wish we were making that show because that sounds cool.' But generally, I have to sort of turn the other way," creator Dan Erickson agrees.

Is there a season 3 of Severance coming?

Apple TV+

Yes, Apple TV renewed Severance for a season 3 on March 21, 2025.

“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” executive producer and director Ben Stiller says in a statement. He jokes that, “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast and crew, Apple and the whole Severance team,” executive Adam Scott (who also plays Mark) adds. “Oh hey also — not a huge deal — but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”

When is Severance season 3 coming out?

Atsushi Nishijima/Apple TV+

We don't have an official Severance season 3 release date yet, but we do know it won't take another three years for new episodes to come out. (We all remember the three-year wait between seasons 1 and 2).

During an appearance on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Ben Stiller promises that "the plan is not, definitely not" to release Severance season 3 in 2028.

Who's in the Severance season 3 cast?

Apple TV+

Based on the end of season 2, we can include the Severance season 3 cast to include all our favorite stars:

  • Adam Scott as Mark Scout: a Lumon employee leading his team in Macrodata Refinement (MDR). In the real world he's mourning his late wife Gemma.
  • Britt Lower as Helena Eagan/Helly R.: one of Mark's coworkers with a shocking outie identity: she's the daughter of Lumon's CEO.
  • Dichen Laman as Gemma/Ms. Casey: Mark's wife in the real world and the wellness counselor on Lumon's severed floor.
  • Zach Cherry as Dylan George: another of Mark's coworkers who's the first one to be awakened outside the office.
  • John Turturro as Irving Bailiff: a Lumon employee who works with Mark.
  • Christopher Walken as Burt Goodman: a severed Lumon employee who's the head of Optics and Design (O&D).
  • Tramell Tillman as Seth Milchick: Lumon's Manager on the severed floor.
  • Patricia Arquette as Harmony Cobel: Lumon's manager during season 1 who lives as outie Mark's neighbor Mrs. Selvig.
  • Jen Tullock as Devon Scout-Hale: Mark's sister, who's pregnant in season 1.
  • Michael Chernus as Ricken Hale: Devon's husband and a self-help author.
  • Sarah Bock as Eustice Huang: the severed floor's new Deputy Manager in season 2.

What happens at the end of Severance season 2?

Apple TV+

The Severance season 2 ending is truly devastating. In the final moments of the episode, outie Mark and Gemma finally reunite in the moment we've been waiting literal years for. They decide to make their escape, but when they slip back into their innie selves, Mark S. decides he doesn't want to sacrifice himself for his outie. He stays with Helly at Lumon while Gemma (who had managed to escape, reverting to her outie self) looks on, screaming his name and beating on the door.

Where does Severance film?

Apple TV+

Severance has been filmed in locations like New Jersey's Bell Labs, as well as various locations around New York, including York Studios, Kingston, Nyack, Marine Park Golf Course, Ulster County, and Beacon.

What order to watch Yellowstone 1883 and 1923?
