Sarah Potempa, Rachel Zoe, More Beauty Industry CEOs Share Their Morning Makeup Routines

When you’ve got boardroom meetings to slay and a million appointments to tackle, you can’t be holed up in your bathroom getting glam for hours on end. These CEOs (and badass boss babes) know that time is precious (and 💰), so they’ve shared their get-ready-in-a-flash secrets with us. Because wouldn’t you rather be cashing checks and building your brand, than creating a smokey eye look that will take forever and a day? We thought so.

1. Rachel Zoe, CEO of Rachel Zoe, Inc:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: I’m woken up by my boys at 6am, so the first thing I do is throw on a lightweight face oil and organic healing lip balm.

Five-minute beauty routine: I start with face oil, followed by a rich moisturizing creme to give myself a good base. I use a dab of concealer under my eyes and on any sun spots, a lengthening mascara, and always a berry lip stain and cheek tint. Lastly, I never leave the house without a spritz of my favorite perfume — Tom Ford Santal Blush ($225).

2. Kate Sommerville, Founder of Skin Care by Kate Somerville:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: I like to take time in the morning to reflect and meditate or spend time soaking in the tub with Epsom salts. Disconnecting from technology and being focused on my family in the morning is another way I stay centered and happy.

Five-minute beauty routine: Cleanse with Kate Somerville Gentle Daily Wash ($34), hydrate with Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift ($95), moisturize with Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair ($195), and apply SPF. If I’m limited on time I’ll cut back on my makeup, but I always do those four skincare steps. You don’t need to wear a lot of makeup when your skin is hydrated and glowing so I’ll just apply blush (I love Jane Iredale) and lip gloss (Chanel). I like to keep my makeup minimal and my skin looking fresh and youthful.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: I can’t live without my Dilo Oil ($65). I apply it not only to my face for hydration, but also my body, hair, and even cuticles!

3. Amy Shecter, CEO of Glamsquad:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: My morning beauty routine is set up for success the night before by my thoughtful skincare ritual before bedtime. At night, I always make sure to remove my makeup with Ponds cleansing towelettes and MICELLAR WATER La Roche Posay ($20) using organic Unbleached Cotton Rounds ($2). Then, I apply SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic ($165) followed by the Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask ($90), which I’m obsessed with and must sleep in every night. In the morning, my alarm goes off and I allow myself one snooze before getting up. I do a couple yoga poses and then I rinse the Erno mask off and apply Chanel Hydra Serum ($150), that offers 24 hours of hydration, which is key for my long, busy days. Then I apply Skinceuticals A.G.E Eye Cream ($97), followed by a daily moisturizer. I switch my moisturizer based on how my skin feels that morning. My current go-tos are SkinCeuticals Daily Moisture ($62) if I want a lighter product, SKII Essential Power Rich Cream ($260) if I want medium hydration, and then Chanel Sublimage ($400) for those days when I need a super boost.

Five-minute beauty routine: I book GLAMSQUAD, because it’s a true time savor. I have thick, long, curly hair and the stylist and makeup artist can work simultaneously to get me ready in under an hour. I time my blowouts throughout the week, so on the days when I don’t have an hour to get ready, I’m just refreshing my hair with a little oil on the ends and hairspray for added oomph. I also never leave the house without under-eye concealer, brow pencil, a lip pencil and gloss, and a dusting of Hourglass Ambient Light Bronzer ($50). One of my GLAMSQUAD makeup artists taught me to layer two concealers — Onomie Undereye Concealer ($25) and It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye ($24) — to counteract the dark circles under my eyes. For a lip pencil, I’ve tried every product out there and I LOVE both Urban Decay and Hourglass lip liners. For a gloss, I am currently loving Givenchy’s Colored Gloss and Dior Addict Lip Glow ($33) in 006 Berry. I’ve recently been testing lots of different brow products since they are such a trend right now. For my brows, my faves are It Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil ($24) and Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil ($21).

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: I use Hourglass highlighter as both highlighter and eyeshadow, and sometimes I use it on my lips for a little shimmer, paired with Givenchy Le Rouge Perfecto Beautifying Lip Balm ($36) as a gloss on top.

4. Alison Brod, CEO of Alison Brod Marketing + Communications:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: Splash very cold water on my face to wake up, then check email and read four newspapers (three in actual print) while I put makeup on.

Five-minute beauty routine: For beach waves, Alterna Ocean Waves ($22). Urban Decay’s All Nighter Spray ($15) when I’m going out at night. I go out a lot and see live music, so this sets my makeup so I don’t have to redo as much later in the day in-between meetings. mē sleek’s at-home hair removal device ($299), because no one should still be waxing or shaving if you don’t have to. L’Oreal’s True Match LUMI Cushion ($17) with the LUMI Liquid Glow Highlighter ($13) — the cushion compact comes with a mirror and it’s portable and perfect. Instead of taking the time to smudge a thin liner into a smokey eye, I use By Terry’s Stylo Blackstar Stick. Ardell Beauty Wispies Mascara ($30) that mirrors the look you get from their Wispies best-selling lashes. Putting lashes on takes time… a swipe of mascara, not so much.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: A spray tan. I hate to admit it, but we have women who even come to our office, where we have a salon. You need less makeup and you look like you lost five pounds.

5. Huda Kattan, CEO of Huda Beauty:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: I always pray and say thank you for my incredible family and team. I start and end my day the exact same way. After that, I like to splash my face with water, apply some rose oil, and then the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum ($165).

Five-minute beauty routine: I apply a little bronzer all over my face. I love the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ($30), mainly because it’s such a stunning color. Then I use the shades Henna and Sandalwood from our Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette ($65) all over the lid. I create my wing liner using the Kat Von D Ink Liner ($20). This liner is super black and I love the felt tip, which makes application a lot easier. Our Huda Beauty Faux Mink Lashes ($23) in Farah are my ultimate favorite, so these are also part of my beauty routine — whether I’m in a rush or not. Brows are very important to me, and I really love Benefit’s ka-Brow ($24)! And last but not least — our Huda Beauty Lip Contour ($19) in Trendsetter. This is also the only piece of makeup I ever carry with me in my handbag. I love our Lip Contours because they are so long lasting and they feel super comfortable on the lips. This look takes me less than five minutes to create.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: Coconut oil! There’s so much you can do with coconut oil and it has amazing health benefits. I love to apply it all over my body and leave it in my hair overnight, and I always stick to the organic coconut oil found at local markets. The best coconut oil I’ve bought to date was in the Maldives, which was made by locals.

6. Chelsea Hirschhorn, CEO of Fridababy:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: Scoop the boys out of bed and the crib! I’ve always had early risers, which is fine because I’m a morning person, so I try to be the last one they see before they close their eyes and the first thing they see when they wake up. From there it’s usually tag teaming breakfast and getting ready for work/camp/school with my husband. If we’ve found 15 minutes [extra], Hunter and I take the electric scooter into town for coffee and a croissant before school — I love those moments together.

Five-minute beauty routine: Tinted moisturizers with SPF also do a lot of heavy lifting. I also love a good roll-on perfume stick because they’re so easy to travel with. I’m on a plane at least twice a month, so it never gets snatched by TSA! My makeup bag is tiny and these pretty much always make the trip: Giorgio Armani Crema Nuda ($120) tinted moisturizer, Laura Mercier Cream Blush ($26) (for cheeks and lips), By Terry Mascara ($48), and Le Labo Le Noir 29 ($90) roll-on perfume stick.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: Cream blushes that you can dab onto your lips as chapstick or a highlighter for cheeks and eyes.

7. Jamie O’Banion, CEO of GloPRO:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: Drink water. I keep a bottle of water next to my bed or bathroom sink and try to drink at least half of it right when I wake up. Your body is totally dehydrated after going hours without liquids and drinking helps replenish your system. I feel less sluggish, tend to eat a healthier breakfast, and feel my skin is more hydrated when I do this daily. If I drink bottled water, it’s usually Smart Water.

Five-minute beauty routine: I love our 4-in-1 Tinted SPF 30 ($75) as it’s a primer, SPF (broad spectrum), hydrator, and perfector for the skin. It’s the ultimate multi-tasker that adjusts to every skin type/color. I wear this alone or blend with a pump of NARS Foundation ($49) if I want a little more coverage. It’s a gorgeous lightweight formula that allows your skin to show through but adds just a bit of polish. If I have literally 3-4 minutes, I pop on the 4-in-1, a swipe of mascara (I love L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes ($6), a pop of color on the lips (YSL in Rose Saint Germain ($37) — I’m loving a deep berry over a true red right now), and the key — a dash of highlighter on the bridge of nose and apple of cheeks and eyelids (remember your shadows and liner often take the most time to apply, so this adds shimmer and depth to lids without taking time).

My two favorite highlighters are MAC in Soft and Gentle ($33) and Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow ($68). For hair in a pinch, I throw it back in a quick chignon. I literally just make a ponytail, wrap the pony around it, secure with 3-4 bobby pins, and pull some of the hair out to add volume and texture. I will throw Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray ($46) in my hair if I want to wear it down but don’t have time to curl or straighten, since it gives it a really chic, sexy, done-but-undone look without a lot of effort.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: Our 4-in-1, a fab highlighter, and, of course, GloPRO! As it creates new skin cells it addresses not only wrinkles and volume, but spots and pigmentation, and reduces the appearance of pores while also making my skincare products penetrate deeper and work more effectively.

8. Lisa Price, Founder of Carol’s Daughter:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: I am one of those who reaches for her phone before I get out of bed. Mostly because I am busy and tired and have a lot going on and sometimes I am not sure what day it is and what is happening. So, I check and then I know if I need to hustle or move more calmly throughout the morning. And, I always give thanks for having opened my eyes to see another day.

Five-minute beauty routine: My process for my face is usually three steps, and it doesn’t change very often, as it is quick. I am launching a new skincare line soon, and I use the wash while in the shower. That saves time for me. When I get out I use a little bit of oil on my face — coconut, maracuja, or evening primrose. The last step is my Face Butter by Carol’s Daughter ($14). I have dry skin so I layer my moisture. I spritz my curls with Carol’s Daughter Monoï Anti-Breakage Spray ($24), then I use Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Combing Creme ($10) for moisture, shine, and curl definition. I also oil my body with a blend of oils I have in my bathroom — rose, lavender, patchouli. The bases are usually something like watermelon seed oil or Shea oil. That is then followed by Monoï Cream Oil by Carol’s Daughter ($40).

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: coconut oil. I use it as an oil treatment for my hair, moisturizer for my skin, and I cook with it.

9. Sarah Kugelman, CEO and founder of skyn ICELAND:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: I wash my face with skyn ICELAND Glacial Face Wash ($30). It’s like I can’t really wake up until I do that. It makes me feel clean and fresh and ready to start my day. Then I grab a bottle of water, a bowl of berries, and a banana.

Five-minute beauty routine: I am in the process of developing a spray lotion, so I’m obsessed with using that in the morning when I’m rushing. It’s so easy and takes a few minutes off my beauty routine. I also put my Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($30) on first, then I do my eye makeup so I can smooth my under-eye area and also catch any of the makeup flakes; otherwise, I end up having to clean up my eye area after applying makeup. When I’m rushing, I pare my makeup routine down to It Cosmetics CC Cream ($15), Dior Diorshow Iconic in Black ($30), Vapour Mesmerize Eyeliner in Black ($20), Chantecaille Powder ($70), and Nars Pink Mauve ($26).

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: I’m sort of obsessed with the Blithe Energy Yellow Citrus & Honey Splash Mask ($45). It’s such a great and easy way to exfoliate. I use it in the shower and sometimes I use it on my face, my décolleté, my arms for smoothing, and my legs to make them glow.

10. Sarah Potempa, Celebrity Hairstylist and Inventor of The Beachwaver Co.:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: With two young kids and a 90-pound giant Alaskan Malamute puppy, our mornings are definitely fun! I usually sleep with a loose braid to keep my waves intact, so I start by brushing them out with the Beachwaver On Set Styling Brush ($42) and quickly touching them up with the Beachwaver Pro 1.25-Inch. ($199). Then I apply moisturizer and lip balm. Before any serious makeup application, I make coffee.

Five-minute beauty routine: When I’m in a rush and need a quick fix, I apply a bright lipstick and curl my lashes. I’ve got my makeup routine down to five minutes because of these fantastic products: Surratt Beauty Surreal Real Skin Foundation Wand ($65), then I highlight, add blush, and contour with Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette ($45), which has all three so it cuts down time on finding different compacts. My go-to bright lipsticks are stains that last all day, like Stila’s Amalfi Hot Pink Lip ($24).

When it comes to hair, I’m obsessed with a flexible hairspray and cream. As I use the Beachwaver Pro 1.25-Inch ($199) almost daily, I love a quick brush with the On Set Styling Brush (the combination of boar bristle and nylon makes it the perfect styling brush), after spraying IGK Intern Flexible Spray ($29) and Ouai Finishing Cream ($24). Also, to save time, I use the Darby Clip ($10) to section, because despite what you might think, the extra step of sectioning actually saves time in the end! Also, obsessed is an understatement when it comes to gel nails. As a hairdresser, the gels keep my nails fresh, beautiful, and chip-free for two to three weeks, and I’ve been consistently getting them for five years now. I’ve tried everything: ombre, color-changing, gold foil designs, and neons!

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: The Tarte Pro Glow Palette ($45) has contour, blush, concealer, and highlight all in one! Brows balance out the face and I love Naturally by Stevi Christine Eyebrow Filler ($24) because it has a double-sided brow shadow and brush. The shadow can also be used as an eyeshadow, as it comes in the cap and applies directly from the tip. The Coast Pro Iron ($169) has blowout attachments to create three looks from one tool!

11. Patti Pao, Founder and CEO of Restorsea:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: Run across the street to Starbucks to buy my grande almond milk misto.

Five-minute beauty routine: My entire routine is five minutes. First, I plug in a curing iron. I use Hot Tools Professional 1-Inch Barrel ($28,) and while it’s heating, I apply Restorsea Rejuvenating Day Cream ($150) on my face for the glow, Restorsea PRO Line Blur Eye Cream ($65) to reduce crow’s feet, and Restorsea Repairing Neck & Decollatage Treatment ($150) because it’s NEVER too late to start working on your neck. Then I fill in my brows with Diorshow Brow Styler in Universal ($29). I spent decades waxing and plucking my eyebrows, and as a result I am very “bare up there.” The Dior Show Brow Styler is magic for restoring a natural appearance of having eye brows and the application is idiot-proof. Next, I curl my eyelashes with Shu Uemura’s eyelash curler and apply Trish McEvoy’s High Volume Mascara ($32) in Jet Black. It’s a tubular mascara that’s smudge-proof and flake-proof. I then use the curling iron to create 8-to-10 waves and fluff while still warm to achieve the “beachy wave.”

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: I love the Lancome Blush Subtil Crème ($32) in Brise Rosee. It’s great as an eye gloss, blush, and lip product (although not perhaps all at once).

12. Jane Iredale, CEO and Founder of Jane Iredale Cosmetics:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: My waking time is in the lap of the gods, but I generally get up at around 7:30am. If I’m being really good, I jump on the treadmill for 20 minutes. Then I feed my little dog Cookie, who is by this point already making “big eyes” at me.

Five-minute beauty routine: My Jane Iredale Magic Mitt ($15) takes the place of a cleanser and toner and cuts out three steps for me. Then I put on Jane Iredale Liquid Minerals ($52), which saves me from putting on a moisturizer and gives me coverage. No time for contouring, so I brush some of my Copper Wind PurePressed Blush ($30) on my cheeks, put Smooth Affair for Eyes ($32) in Naked on my lids with my finger, and if I’m in a real rush, I forego liner and throw on some PureLash Lash Extender & Conditioner ($19), and then, of course, mascara. I wouldn’t leave the house without it. With no time for lining lips, I swipe on some Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain ($25) in Forever Peach, which I know will stay all day. If it’s a crisis of time, I don’t blow dry my hair — I pin it back and put on some dangly earrings. They cover a multitude of sins.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: The one product that never lets me down is our PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation ($42). It works in all climates — day and night. I use it every single day, whether I’m speaking to an audience or working in the garden, and it saves me so much time because it’s four products in one: a powder, foundation, concealer, and sunscreen. It’s also water resistant.

13. Angela Rosen, CEO and Founder of D A P H N E and Penelope & The Beauty Bar:

First thing you do when you get out of bed: Daily pilates and I add Super Elixir by Elle McPherson to my smoothie I make every morning.

Five-minute beauty routine: I love to use Biologique Recherche L’Eauxygenante when I’m pressed on time. It’s a protective multi-functional facial spray that hydrates, stimulates, refreshes, tones, and oxygenates the skin. It contains high concentrations of vitamins A and C extracted from orange and kiwi cells, as well as Edelweiss extract, which has potent anti-free-radical properties, and the Specific Biologique Recherche Oxygenating Complex. I also use a little Biologique Recherche Yall’02 Finishing Serum.

Beauty multi-tasker you swear by: Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 is commonly referred to as “a facial” in a bottle! Lotion P50 is an amazing vitamin-enriched exfoliating potion that gently purifies, hydrates, tones, controls sebum, and balances the skin, visibly improving many common skin conditions including whiteheads, blackheads, and symptoms of rosacea. It removes dead cells and impurities daily, helps regulate sebum secretion, promotes epidermal renewal, balances pH on the surface of the skin, and helps protect from free radicals. Skin will be left smooth, radiant, uniform, and shine-free!

The collective is stirring with anticipation, awaiting the next course in our journey. Breathe. This November highlights this part of your narrative. Are you ready to learn what is in store for you this month? Read on for your sun, moon, and rising November horoscope below.

Brian Yurasits

This month kicks off with the New Moon in Scorpio on November 1st, helping you see how you're being of service to yourself and others. Due to Scorpio's vibe of death and regeneration, this lunation will also materialize the importance of “clearing out” from the old. Remember last month’s solar eclipse?

This New Moon in Scorpio extends the path for you to turn over a new leaf and actualize your desired changes. Make a move.

The communication signals will power up as Mercury enters Sagittarius on November 2nd, manifesting a feeling of warmth and hope in our messages. The dialogue exchanged will be inspiring and educational.

Share information that will benefit others. You'll experience serendipitous moments as you give back.

Our drive and bravado will turn up as the motivator planet Mars enters Leo on November 3rd. Our self-worth will drive passion and desire. Step forward and claim your desire.

Patricia Luquet

Create your masterpiece and watch it come to life. Believe.

Love will shift to rationality and structure as Venus shifts into Capricorn on November 11. These next several weeks will help you gauge more accordingly with long-term plans and practical concerns. It will also invoke a more grounded approach to romance and dating.

Slow and steady builds stronger foundations in love.

On November 15th, the Full Moon in Taurus illuminates the sky, highlighting the importance of taking the reigns through a measured approach. With the rebel planet, Uranus, in alignment with this full moon, it will stir up massive changes involving our narrative and how we are playing our part in our storyline. It can lead to impulsive moves, so remember to be intentional. The great news is that Saturn, the structure planet, is direct today, bringing more clarity regarding our direction.

Brilliance awaits as you hold steady.

Buckle up! On November 19th, Pluto ingresses into Aquarius, settling into this future-oriented sign. Anticipate significant technological advancements, including refined artificial intelligence, quantum computing breakthroughs, renewable energy innovations, and immersive virtual reality experiences. Side note: VR Games like Supernatural(I'm a BIG fan!) are revolutionizing workouts, allowing people to exercise in other worlds while engaging with a supportive community for weight loss, endorphins, and positive accountability. As you visualize your ideal paradigm, Pluto will guide you toward the tools or necessary changes to attract your desired results. Embrace this transformation and let go of outdated constructs, paving the way for a brighter, more interconnected future.

Vlada Karpovich

Happiness and fulfillment await those willing to adapt and grow.

This month ends with the Sun in Sagittarius on November 21 and Mercury Retrograde on November 25. Sagittarius season invokes wanderlust, adventure, and growth. Remember that you'll reign this season as you remain open-minded to new concepts and ideas.

Close-mindedness and dismissiveness of others' input lead to dead ends.

As we conclude working with Mercury’s backspin this month, steer clear of making traveling plans (like booking a ticket/itinerary), launching a business, or signing contracts. Plus, it will help you streamline your messages, think through your personal beliefs, and change your attitudes towards life. Going through reflection will help you gravitate toward your desired outcomes.

Which signs will be most affected in November?

Juliane Monari

As we journey through November 2024, Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, and Sagittariuswill each feel the cosmic waves uniquely. Scorpios will harness the transformative energy of the New Moon to reflect on their desires and initiate powerful changes. Taurus will be called to acknowledge new narratives during the Full Moon, prompting them to take control of their path and make intentional decisions. Aquarians will experience a significant shift as Pluto settles into their sign, inviting them to envision a brighter future and release old patterns that no longer serve them. Meanwhile, Sagittarians will be inspired by the Sun’s entry into their sign, igniting a sense of adventure and growth. However, they should navigate Mercury's retrograde carefully to avoid miscommunications and hasty decisions. Allow these energies to guide you toward a more fulfilled and intentional existence this month!

It looks like Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's relationship may be ready for the next step — that's if you ask Mr. Blanco. He appeared on The Howard Stern Show yesterday to chat about everything, including his relationship with Selena. When Howard Stern asked, "You want to have kids with Selena? Have you told her you want to have kids yet," Benny replied, "That’s my next goal, to check the box. I have a ton of godkids. I've got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids."

However, he's not in a rush and wants everything to happen naturally. All that matters is that the two of them are in each other's life. He said, "I just know that when I look at her, I just say, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always say to her.”

Selena Gomez tells TIME just how much Benny Blanco means to her — no matter what anyone else says. "My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life," she says. "But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon.”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco looked amazing in their Alice in Wonderland couple's Halloween costume. "Curiouser and curiouser," Selena wrote on the post, which is totally reminding us of Taylor Swift's 1989 (hello "Wonderland"!!!).

Selena wore a corset dress in what looks like slate blue with cap puffed sleeves and a tulle skirt, along with a blonde wig, black bow, and slingback shoes. Benny went all out as the Mad Hatter with face paint, a wig, a top hat, and a waistcoat. We'd follow them down the rabbit hole!

Gretchen Weiners' hair might be full of secrets in Mean Girls, but in Amanda Seyfried's new movie, her life is full of secrets. The Housemaid, based on the novel by Freida McFadden, follows Millie (played by Sydney Sweeney), who's down on her luck and in desperate need of a fresh start. When she snags a job as a housemaid in Nina's (Amanda Seyfried) beautiful home, it looks like things are finally moving in her favor. But all is not as it seems — and it doesn't take long for Millie to realize Nina's secrets are the most dangerous thing about her.

The book, which has sold over 3.6 million copies, has been on the New York Times Bestseller list for over a year and Amazon's Bestsellers list for 98 weeks (talk about popular). Despite his (very) questionable communication tactics, the world was immediately enraptured with Jeremy Allen White's Carmy when The Bear premiered on FX in 2022. And thanks to the show, and its various Emmy Awards, Carmy and his blue apron are instantly recognizable, as is Jeremy Allen White's next role: Bruce Springsteen.

The biopic joins a lineup of other highly anticipated movies like Timothée Chalamet's A Complete Unknown, about Bob Dylan, Selena Gomez's upcoming Linda Ronstadt biopic, and Paul Mescal's rumored role in the Beatles movies. And in addition to White's excitement for Deliver Me From Nowhere, the movie also has The Boss' stamp of approval! Here's everything we know about the upcoming movie.

See The First Look Of Jeremy Allen White As Bruce Springsteen!

20th Century Fox

The first look at Deliver Me From nowhere is a shot of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in a plaid shirt and leather jacket. The whole effect looks like an old polaroid, and (more importantly) is incredibly attractive.

“Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey," writer-director Scott Cooper says in a statement. “Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska’ has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me. Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honoring Bruce’s legacy in a transformative cinematic experience. It has been a great pleasure to collaborate with Bruce and Jon [Landau] as I tell their story, and their creative energy fuels every part of this journey. As well, I’m excited to reunite with my friend, David Greenbaum [president, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios], as he embarks on his new role at Disney, adding another layer of inspiration to this project.”

What has Bruce Springsteen said about the movie?

It could be a very strange experience to have your life turned into a movie, but Bruce Springsteen seems to be having a great time. “It’s a lovely cast and I am involved a little,” he said on the Graham Norton Show (via People).

He also doesn't shy away from the fact that Jeremy Allen White's performance won't be exactly the same because "you can’t do an imitation, you have to do a personal interpretation."

“It’s difficult but he is a great actor and sings pretty good," he continues.

Will there be a Bruce Springsteen biopic?

Columbia/Sony Music Publishing

Deliver Me From Nowhere Plot

Yes, a Bruce Springsteen movie is on its way! Deliver Me From Nowhere will follow Warren Zanes' book of the same name, which chronicles the process of creating Bruce's 1982 album Nebraska. The movie comes from 20th Century Studios, who's behind other smash hits like Avatar: The Way of Water, The French Dispatch, and Alien: Romulus.

“Bruce Springsteen, and Nebraska, in particular, have had a profound impact on me and my work. Through themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans, Bruce has formed an unparalleled legacy, painting an unflinching portrait of the human condition,” director Scott Cooper said in a statement (via The Hollywood Reporter). “Yet, amidst the darkness, a sense of resilience and a sense of hope shines through, reflecting an indomitable spirit. That’s the Bruce I’ve come to know and love and will honor with this film.”

When does the Bruce Springsteen movie come out?

Deliver Me From Nowhere Release Date

We don't have an official release date for the move yet, but they start shooting in November!

Who will play Bruce Springsteen in the movie?

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

Deliver Me From Nowhere Cast

Jeremy Allen White stars as rock icon Bruce Springsteen. “I’ve got a really beautiful team of people helping me and Bruce has been really lovely and supportive and available, which has made this whole process an extra joy," Jeremy Allen White told Deadline in September 2024. "His support and Jon Landau, his management's, support, who has a large role in the film as well. So I feel really lucky.”

He also told Variety in June that he's “gonna try [his] best" to do his own singing in the movie.

Jeremy is joined by Odessa Young, who's playing one of Bruce Springsteen's love interests. Since she nabbed a spot in the film, she's been “weeping multiple times a day, but tells Variety she hasn't met the rockstar yet. “I really think that it will send me down a path for which there is no return,” she says. “Like I cannot come back from that experience as the same person.”

Blake Lively is as multifaceted as they come. She's an actress who has starred in titles like Gossip Girl, A Simple Favor, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (plus It Ends With Us). She's the founder of Betty Buzz, which has a variety of non-alcoholic mixers that taste just as good on their own as they do with liquor. And, she's also a mom. Lively has been outspoken about protecting her children from the paparazzi, making rare public appearances with them for events like her husband Ryan Reynolds' Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremonyandcozy date nights.

When Lively and Reynolds seemingly announced the birth of their fourth child last year, we melted. Here's everything you need to know about Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's kids.

Is Taylor Swift friends with Blake Lively's kids?

Mike Coppola/Getty Images

Yes, Taylor Swift loves Blake Lively's kids! The family has shown up to the Eras Tour multiple times, and most recently supported the popstar at her concert in New Orleans, Louisiana. Blake and Ryan were joined by oldest daughter James (who looked amazing in a Reputation-inspired 'fit), and I can't believe how much James and Blake look alike! She's truly her mini-me! At the Philadelphia show of the Eras Tour, which Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively attended, Taylor said hello from the stage.

One funny detail about Ryan Reynolds' kids that I love is when he mentioned the girls finally realized Taylor Swift was a popstar. "I think what's most exciting for them is that for the longest time they just thought Taylor's just like an aunt, like a friend of Mommy and Daddy that's very, very close, almost family," he tellsThe Jess Cagle Show. "And then they went to a concert one day and were like, 'Ohhhhh, this isn't a hobby.'"

For Super Bowl Sunday in 2024, Blake Lively joined Taylor Swift to support beau (and KC Chiefs tight end) Travis Kelce. "Last week I left my kids for the first time ever," she says on Instagram. "I took pictures upside down and had no clue. I treated a friendship bracelet like a Flat Stanley for my husband like I didn’t realize it wasn’t ‘07. I borrowed more jewelry than the skeleton in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. And I went clubbing. Now I know what my episode of TheTwilight Zone would look like."

How do Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively prioritize their kids?

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Michael Kors

At the end of September, Ryan Reynolds revealed how different parenting seems to be now than when he was a kid. "Parents today are so different. We're so soft," he said at HubSpot’s INBOUND tech conference (via People). "I don't yell. I grew up with like — it was nuts, it was an improvised militia.”

“Now it's like, I can go look at all my resources for parenting and remind myself how to be perfectly compassionate,” he continued. "Something I love about [conflict resolution], and I know this is not very fancy, but what I love about it is that you can meet somebody where they are, and you don't have to be right or wrong...You can disagree and still connect."

Blake Lively recently joined an episode of her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' costar Amber Tamblyn's Further Adoand revealed the one unbreakable rule she made with Ryan Reynolds.

“When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time,” she says. “So that we could always prioritize our personal life...That takes working really hard when we're not. Just like financial planning and sustaining that; it takes balance.”

I love that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are serious about their family life, and that they have identified what works for them and are sticking with it.

What is the name of Blake Lively's 4th baby?

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' fourth baby is named Olin, which he revealed during the July 22 premiere of Deadpool & Wolverine!

Before Ryan chose to reveal the name, he appeared on the Today show and made a cheeky joke about it after the hosts urged him to spill the beans. He said, "We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child's name will be. We'll say this: we're still waiting."

What are Blake Lively kids ages?

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for Michael Kors

Blake Lively's kids are all under 10. James is 9 (turning 10 on December 16), Inez is 7 (turning 8 on September 30), Betty is 4 (turning 5 on October 4), and Olin turned 1 in February.

What gender is Ryan and Blake's fourth child?

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

On July 26, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that he and Blake Lively's fourth baby, born in February 2023, is a boy in an Instagram video supporting mental health charity Walking 4 Hope. Speaking with founder John Bell, who struggled with suicidal ideation after the 2020 loss of his son Jake, Reynolds says, “I want to share with you that I, too, have a son...Boy, John, if I love him one-tenth as much as you love Jake, I’ll feel like I’ve done a pretty d—mn good job.”

Considering how adorable James, Inez, and Betty are, I can only imagine how cute Blake Lively's son is!

How many children do Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have?

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have four kids. They welcomed their third daughter in 2019, making this new addition to the family their fourth child.

Did Blake Lively have a 4th baby?

Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for American Cinematheque

Blake Lively posted a pic on Super Bowl Sunday in 2023 showing what appears to be a post-baby body with the caption "Been busy."

Lively confirmed her fourth pregnancy in September 2022 when she arrived at her Forbes event in NYC cradling a baby bump and by posting her own personal photos on Instagramhoping that "the 11 guys waiting outside [her] home for a 🦄 sighting will leave [her] alone."

How old was Blake Lively when she had her first child?

Mike Coppola/Getty Images for Michael Kors

Blake Lively was 27 when she gave birth to her first daughter, James, in December of 2014.

Why did Blake Lively name her daughter James?

Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images

The couple decided to name their daughter James after Reynolds' late father. While the name connects both James and Reynolds to his father, it also gives Lively the chance to bond with her daughter over having historically male names. "I liked having a boy's name," Lively said on Good Morning Americain 2015. "I thought I'd pass it on."

Their third daughter Betty's name is a tribute to Lively's late father. We didn't know the name of the couple's third baby until Taylor Swift used all three names in her 2020 album folklore. Swift also used James' voice at the beginning of her 2017 track "Gorgeous"! Does that mean we'll hear one of Ryan Reynolds' children in Reputation (Taylor's Version)? I hope so!

What has Ryan Reynolds said about raising their kids?

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

In a conversation with Hugh Jackman ahead of Deadpool & Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds opened up about how his family has helped his anxiety. "I think it makes it better because your focus is less on yourself and more on your kids," he says (via People). "I love that I've had anxiety because when I see my kids experiencing some of that, which is probably genetic, I know how to address it in a way that is compassionate, that actually allows them to feel seen. I know that I can't just fix it. And I can communicate all that stuff to them and with them. I'm always grateful for it."

Per People, Ryan Reynolds has also made it clear he and Blake are wholly invested in the kids' daily lives. The doting husband and father enjoys the moments of "walking them to school and walking them back" as it deepens their bond. More than anything, Ryan and Blake's main goal is to make sure they teach their kids how to be introspective with Ryan saying "the thing we sort of hang our hat on the most is self-awareness with our kids."

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

However, that doesn't mean Blake and Ryan don't absolutely love being parents. "We're very excited [and] we wouldn't do this four times if we didn't love it," he says in an interview with CNBC's Power Lunch. "Everybody's doing great. Everybody's actually doing fantastic. I think if we hadn't figured it out by now, I think we'd be in deep, deep trouble."

"It's a zoo over here," he jokes. "This is my office here, this is where I'll probably — to be honest, I'll probably spend the rest of my life in here."

We love how much energy Ryan and Blake are pouring into their kids. It's always beautiful when parents are able to be present with their kids and teach them how to be present with themselves. Ryan Reynolds has also mentioned how having daughters "has been such a ride." Since he comes from a family of all boys, having daughters is something that was beyond his wildest dreams! “I love being a girl dad,” Ryan tells Access in 2020. “I have three daughters, which I never in a million years would imagine.”

He mentioned his newest child in June of 2023, when he announced his new series Bedtime Stories. "The idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born the same day as my fourth child," he says on Instagram.

Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images

The Deadpool actor also recently offered some parenting advice on Amanda Hirsch’s hit podcastNot Skinny But Not Fat. "Embrace the chaos,” he tells Hirsch. "[Blake] always says, ‘They're all under our roof right now. The whole family's under our roof right now. We have them all.’ And that is a fleeting thing. Not an infinite resource, you know?”

While Reynolds understands firsthand how overwhelming parenting can feel, he also doesn't wish away this time with four young kids: “Just say, ‘Think about what you would give in 40 years or 30 years to come back and enjoy this one moment.’"

How has motherhood affected Blake Lively?

Dimitrios Kambouris/Staff/Getty Images Entertainment via Getty Images;Art by Claire Shadomy/B+C

Blake Lively opened up about how Ryan Reynolds and she monitor screen safety for their kids, which is definitely something top-of-mind in 2024. “This is not an ad. I get nothing out of this. I just love @tappityapp,” she said of the STEM-focused educational app. “It’s engaging, informative, fun and they care about safety."

She also jokes that she's learning new things right along with her kids! But, no matter how educational or fun an app is, Blake Lively also emphasizes the importance of engaging with her kids' devices: "I’m always triple checking any kids app constantly for safety because that’s my responsibility not an app’s, but I do LOVE this one.”

Despite its fun and funny moments, the actress has admitted being a mom is hard, but she did it with her signature dry sense of humor. “BettyBooze at your service," she wrote in an Instagram Story announcing the new brand. "These are recipes I’ve been making for loved ones for years. But I have 4 kids now. And I’m tired. So here they are. In a can."

Emma McIntyre/Getty Images for American Cinematheque

However, Blake Lively absolutely loves motherhood, and says in a 2022 interview with Forbes that having children has made her feel more comfortable in her own skin. "Once I had children, that just became even more profound because my time was even more precious, but also I think having children for me made me feel so much more in my skin," she says. "I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident — not to say that there aren't a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled."

Speaking with People in 2021, Lively also explains how important it is that her children see her accomplish things outside the home.
