10 Travel Sites That’ll Help You Plan an Unforgettable Vacation

Remember back in January when you promised yourself to travel more this year? Well, it’s officially summer, and there’s no better time to head to the beach or take a family road trip. And while you may not have the ideal vacation length (eight days!) lined up, any amount of time you have to explore a new place is worth a bit of front-end research, so you can rest assured that you’ve found the best-priced flight to your destination and the trendiest local coffee shop when you arrive. We’re sharing 10 of our favorite travel sites to help get you there.

1. Hipmunk: Sure, Hipmunk has search features for cheap flights and hotels, but the real reason we love it so much is for the in-depth, hotel-focused city guides. If you’re looking to go to Chicago, for instance, Hipmunk breaks down your options by type (luxury, hostel, Airbnb), neighborhood (Hyde Park, Lincoln Park) and ease of transportation (parking, bus, el train) so you can make informed decisions based on your personal preferences.

2. Eat This Poem: If your “to visit” list is as long as your “to read” list, might we suggest stopping by Eat This Poem’s Literary City Guide to get the scoop on America’s cities that are packed full of awesome eats and bustling bookstores? Each city page has its own tour guide who will give you the scoop on where to shop for cookbooks and where to eat the best tacos. #heaven

3. Cereal: Come for the devastatingly gorgeous photography; stay for the thoughtfully curated travel suggestions. So far, Cereal only has nine online city guides, but you can buy the paper version of many more cities on their website. Each recommendation feels personal, like your well-traveled best friend is giving you her years’ worth of insider knowledge in one minimalist swoop.

4. Kayak: It may not be glamorous, but Kayak is the OG of cheap flight fares and an absolute must when you’re factoring flying into your vacation. It pulls prices from all the major discounted flight websites, drastically cutting your search time and ensuring that you’re getting the best deal out there.

5. HomeAway: Just like its major competitor, HomeAway offers travelers private homes to stay in that the owners have listed on the site. We particularly like HomeAway because, in addition to all the awesome property listings, they also offer well-edited city guides for the world’s major metropolises, making it a one-stop shop for your next urban adventure.

6. Spotted by Locals: With local “spotters” in over 66 countries giving the scoop on their favorite activities, restaurants, coffee shops, spas, theaters and shops, Spotted by Locals is the guidebook answer for the guidebook-adverse. You can search spots by activity to find locals-approved things to do, or you can search by spotter if you find yourself digging a particular local’s taste.

7. Jetsetter: If you’re looking to add a major dose of luxury to your travel plans, hit up Jetsetter before you head out. This flash sale site has incredible deals on uber-cool hotels and resorts in some of the world’s most exotic, hip and of-the-moment locales. Descriptors like “posh,” “brilliant” and “royal” allow you to narrow down the myriad options based on your personal vibe and the “what we love” and “what to know” sections of each hotel listing give you a glimpse into the real life pros and cons of each place.

8. Secret Escapes: Secret Escapes is like Groupon, but for seriously swank vacation deals — we’re talking $70 rooms at boutique hotels in Miami kinda deals. You can book city hotel rooms, spa retreats and all-inclusive beach vacations at up to 70 percent off, which means if you’re flexible with your dates and vacation spot, you can score a significantly sweeter spot than you were probably expecting.

9. 12hrs: For those travelers looking to take a quick trip, let 12hrs plan your 12-hour itinerary. Their guides have a distinct design bent, so if you’re into art, fashion and mid-century modern furniture, be sure to check them out. Even if you’re planning on staying at your destination for longer than a day, 12hrs gives you an awesomely aesthetic jumping off point.

10. Yapta: Once you’ve decided where you want to go and how you want to get there, be sure to start tracking your trip on Yapta. If the price drops for either your preferred hotel or flight, the website will notify you. If you’ve already bought a ticket but have registered the trip on Yapta, you’ll get a refund for the difference when the price drops!

Jurassic World: Rebirth is hitting theaters this summer and I cannot stop thinking about how good Jonathan Bailey looks. The Bridgerton actor stars as paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis alongside Scarlett Johansson's Zora and Mahershala Ali's Duncan Kincaid. Together, the team is tasked with getting DNA samples after the world has become inhospitable to dinosaurs. But, naturally, all the internet can talk about is Jonathan Bailey. (Relatable).

Here's your first look at Jonathan Bailey in Jurassic World: Rebirth.

Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson team up for a brand new mission.

In the latest image, Scarlett Johansson looks on while Jonathan Bailey examines what looks like an egg from a giant nest. And considering these two are finding DNA samples from three giant land, sea, and air creatures, it's safe to assume a dinosaur isn't far off.

While revealing the image on The Today Show, Scarlett couldn't help but gush over her costar. "How cute is Jonathan Bailey? He's the best person, he's a dreamboat," she says. "Does he love you too? He has those kind of eyes...He's the best!"

Jasin Boland/Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment

I already know that ScarJo and Jonny Bailey are going to make the ultimate team. But social media's favorite part of this whole movie is Jonathan's glasses.

"I can’t believe we’re getting a Jurassic Park movie with Jonathan Bailey in slutty glasses," one X user said. "The T Rex doesn’t stand a chance."

Oh what I wouldn't give to have Jonathan Bailey gaze into my eyes while working to save the world.

And nobody is going to kick butt like Mahershala Ali. I'd trust this man with my life.

Oh, Costco, the lovely land of… practically anything you could ever want. From their famed food court (hello, $1.50 hot dogs!) to their essentially endless grocery aisles, you’d be surprised about the mass amount of miscellaneous stuff you can shop at this marvelous store.

Skincare, clothing, and wine are a bit more expected when it comes to unexpected Costco finds as a whole, but there are plenty more unexpected items that will shock you just as much as they shocked me.

Scroll on to see some of the wacky and unexpected items you can buy with your Costco membership!

Costco

1. Clothing

Costco's clothing section is packed with hidden gems like 100% cotton Gap sweaters for just $15 (!), yoga jackets for $19, and Land's End jackets for $15. They practically have everything you could possibly need to complete an outfit, like shoes and bags – even down to socks and underwear.

2. Instruments

That's right – you can buy keyboards, guitars, pianos, drum kits, and even karaoke machines from Costco's musical instrument selection.

Costco

3. Saunas

Starting at just $1,900, you could be the proud owner of a Costco sauna. Their currently listed models range from a 2-person capacity to 6 people. Get the whole fam in on it!

Costco

4. Caviar

I simply need to try Costco caviar. Believe it or not, they sell a $250 kit that comes complete with 4 types of caviar, smoked sturgeon, crème fraiche, and blinis.

Costco

5. Jewelry

They went to... Costco?! Shockingly, the grocery giant carries expensive AF (and not so expensive AF) engagement rings. You can also snag earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and even a freakin' 100-gram gold bar. WTF.

KoolShooters / PEXELS

6. Tires

Yep, you can suit up your car with tires straight from Costco! Their tire center tends to carry all kinds of tires for any car model you'd need 'em for. They can also do a good ol' tire rotation for you or repair holes.

7. Glasses

Costco does indeed have an optical shop that accepts "most major vision insurance plans" for prescription lenses and frames. You can also score some pretty cool sunglasses!

Costco

8. Skincare

Costco low-key has some amazing deals on skincare. My favorite finds thus far include: the RoC Retinol Night Cream, this 2-pack of Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion, TIRTIR's Collagen Lifting Eye Cream, and the Perricone MD Vitamin C Moisturizer. Wowza.

Costco

9. Luggage

From carry-ons to full-on suitcases and packing cubes to backpacks, Costco's got all your travel needs covered with a variety of options. I truly had no clue.

Costco

10. Indoor plants

If your space is craving some greenery, I've got good news for ya: Costco fanatics have spotted everything from a $380 faux olive tree to adorable little money trees at their local stores.

Costco

11. Peloton bikes

Costco members can shop their very own Peloton bike, complete with a 48-month protection plan, to lock in on their fitness goals. The price of the bike may vary based on your location.

12. Coffins

I hate to say it, but yes, Costco does sell coffins. One Reddit user that purchased one noted that a Costco coffin cost them "thousands cheaper" than one from a funeral home and that the quality was "10/10."

Gilmore Girls fans couldn't be more excited to see Lauren Graham onscreen again in Tubi's new TV show The Z-Suite. And even though her character Monica is giving major Lorelai Gilmore vibes, Lauren is adamant that the two characters couldn't be more different — but she hopes GG lovers will "come along for this ride" anyway. And TBH, this is one 2025 TV show you won't want to miss!

Here's what Lauren Graham had to say about The Z-Suite — and whether it relates to Gilmore Girls' Lorelai Gilmore.

Lauren Graham's 'The Z-Suite' character Monica & Lorelai Gilmore have "no similarities"...

Tubi

At the Sundance Film Festival premiere of her new movie opposite Dylan O'Brien, Lauren Graham spilled on her upcoming press run for The Z-Suite, which is one of Tubi's "first scripted programming,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s a little bit of pressure, but also just a lot of momentum and excitement and we will just try not to screw it up.”

Lauren has a pretty great track record of "not screwing it up" (I'm looking at you Gilmore Girls), but the actress insists that this project has a whole new feel.

“There are no similarities [between Lorelai Gilmore and The Z-Suite character Monica Marks] and I hope [Gilmore Girls fans] come along for this ride,” she continues. “I can’t do that. I can never replicate the beauty and the magic of that character and that writing and that time, so I might as well not try. This is something very different, but she’s fun and kooky and the show has a spirit to it that I think has a coziness to it, but it’s very different character.”

Even if Monica is a bit "unhinged"!

The new TV show, which follows Monica after she's fired from her ad agency (and replaced by a Gen Z social media team), sees her create a brand new agency and fight for her place in the industry. And it looks downright hilarious.

“When I first read the script for The Z-Suite, I responded to Katie O’Brien’s fresh and funny take on the workplace,” Lauren Graham told Deadline. “The character of Monica is smart, strong, and appealingly a bit unhinged. I’m excited to work with the team at Tubi as they ramp up their Originals slate and continue their ascent in the streaming space.”

The Z-Suite premieres on Tubi February 6 and I can't wait to watch all the episodes!
