Looking For A Weekender Bag? Here Are 7 You Don't Leave Behind On Your Next Getaway

best weekender bag

I've been super into binging Bravo's Summer House lately — a reality show where a bunch of 20-30-year-old New Yorkers all share a house in the Hamptons every weekend throughout the summer. While there's drinking and drama galore, it really got me thinking about their constant back-and-forth from the city and the kinds of bags they bring to do so. They all have these practical weekend bags, so I just had to dive deeper to find the best weekend bags in general. As someone who loves to take weekend getaways myself, having a bag that's spacious, practical, and comfortable is crucial. Here are some options that fit the bill.

Béis Travel

Béis Weekender Bag

I feel like this bag divided the internet at some point. There are so many opposing opinions — some people love it, and some people hate it. Here is what I have to say: if you are traveling via car, train, or bus, this bag is the best thing since sliced bread. However, if you are traveling via plane, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this bag. It doesn't fit comfortably under the seat in front of you while leaving room for your feet, and it's kind of a pain to carry around in the airport. That being said, it fits so many things, and I love the bottom zipped section for my shoes and toiletries!

Calpak

Calpak Luka Duffel

Calpak products are always the best quality. They're long-lasting and super durable, so if you're looking to invest in a travel bag that will last you years, this is a superb option for you! It's insanely spacious and acts as the perfect personal item if you're planning to travel for longer periods. It's perfectly comfortable on your shoulder, or you can slide it onto a suitcase. It also comes with a separate shoe compartment which is always great to have. This bag is definitely worth the hype!

Away

Away Weekender Bag

I'm a loyal Away travel customer — all of my luggage is from Away. The quality of their bags is unmatched, giving me travel luggage that's always super durable. This weekender bag is no exception, fitting everything you need for a quick getaway. It comes with a sleeve that slides over the handle, so it never falls off, and it keeps its shape to make sure you can fill it to the brim with all your goodies. It also perfectly complements their carry-on suitcases — a definite win in my book!

Amazon

ETRONIK Travel Duffel Bag

This weekender bag is a great Béis dupe that comes with so many goodies. What sets this bag apart from others of a similar style is that it comes with a USB charging port. That's so important if you're on the go, especially if you're on the train or a bus — or basically anywhere you don't have access to an outlet. It comes with a bunch of side pockets, a strap to slide onto any suitcase, and a big ol' strap to hurl over your shoulder when needed. At $36, this is basically a steal!

Amazon

Baboon to the Moon Go-Bag

Buckle up, guys, because I have nothing but incredible things to say. Before I studied abroad, I did a LOT of research on the perfect bag for traveling to different countries on the weekend. After months of debate, I landed on this Baboon to the Moon bag. It's a backpack, but it opens horizontally like a traditional suitcase. You can take it on the plane as a personal item, and you can fit literally a week's worth of stuff in there. I cannot recommend this bag enough. Now that my abroad days are long gone, I still take this bag with me on every short trip I go on because it saves my life every single time. Plus, they come in such fun colors!

Longchamp

Longchamp LE PLIAGE TRAVEL BAG

If you want to be chic and practical at the same time, you can opt for this Longchamp weekend bag. I'm a big fan of Longchamp products — they're incredible quality and overall just beautiful buys. This bag is insanely spacious and can fit everything you need. Also, it folds up into a tiny bag if you need to store it away. If you want to travel in style, add this to your collection.

Amazon

LOVEVOOK Travel Duffle Bag

This bag is basically another Béis dupe, but for a fraction of the price. It's spacious and has a separate compartment on the bottom for shoes and toiletries. I like that this one comes with a matching travel toiletry bag, too. You can get this on Amazon in over 20 different colors!

A recent Gallup pollshowed that fewer than half of Americans are “very satisfied” with their life choices. Where you live, it turns out, has a lot to do with your overall life satisfaction: the community you have, the quality of life you experience, and your physical and emotional health and safety. Personal finance website, WalletHub released its report on the Happiest Cities in America in 2024 to find the places where people experience the highest life satisfaction and the results are surprising.

“Meaningful relationships and social connections are perhaps the most important ingredients for a happy life, according to an 85-year-long study recently published by Harvard researchers Waldinger and Schulz (2022)," says Buffie Longmire-Avital, Ph.D., a professor at Elon University. “High-quality relationships stand out as important predictors of individuals' happiness. Having rewarding interactions with people whom you value and who value you may provide the support, comfort, laughter, and intimacy that elevate individuals' happiness.”

Jess Loiterton

WalletHub first compared the 50 states across 30 key indicators of happiness, with a date set that ranged from the depression rate and the share of adults feeling productive to income growth and the unemployment rate. Hawaii has the lowest share of adult depression, which is 2.3 times lower than in Tennessee, the state with the highest. New Jersey has the fewest suicides (per 100,000 residents), which is 3.7 times fewer than in Montana, the state with the most. Utah has the highest volunteer rate, which is 2.6 times higher than in Florida, the state where the rate is the lowest. Volunteerism is another way people find purpose and joy in life.

William Bout

In order to determine the happiest cities in America, WalletHub compared 182 of the largest cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities — across three key areas:

  • Emotional & Physical Well-Being
  • Income & Employment
  • Community & Environment

Priscilla Du Preez

“When individuals have a high sense of community...well-being increases, and stress, anxiety, and depression decrease. Neighborhoods with high walkability scores that are also safe and near things like parks or trails help sustain our physical and mental health, which are key factors in determining happiness,” adds Dr. Longmire-Avital.

Here are the top 20 happiest U.S. cities, many of which score high on the nature and family-friendly aspect. Ready for a new start or planning local travel this season? Check them out!

Fremont, CA

Shutterstock

According to the WalletHub report, Fremont, CA, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, is the happiest city in America, and one reason why is income: the city has the highest share of households with an income above $75,000, at nearly 80 percent. Studies have shown that increasing your income also increases your happiness up to $75,000 (but not beyond). With a rich history tied to the California Gold Rush, Fremont has evolved into a hub for the tech industry, including Tesla's Fremont Factory. The city offers excellent schools, a wide range of cultural experiences, and outdoor spaces like Mission Peak. People in Fremont also have a high rate of life satisfaction, a low depression rate, and a long lifespan on average. It also has the lowest share of adults who report having mentally unhealthy days, so people in the city seem to be doing the self care needed to keep themselves happy.

Overland Park, KS

Visit Overland Park

Overland Park, KS, has earned its spot as the second-happiest city in the U.S., thanks to several key factors that contribute to its residents' well-being. With the lowest poverty rate in the nation at just 4.2 percent and an impressively low unemployment rate of 3 percent, it's clear that financial stability plays a huge role in their happiness. The city also boasts one of the lowest food insecurity rates, meaning more families have what they need to thrive. Residents of Overland Park also enjoy a lot of leisure time each week, which many spend participating in sports — one of the top ways to stay emotionally and physically healthy. Overland Park boasts a rich cultural scene, including the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and a variety of dining and shopping options. People in Overland Park tend to get more sleep than those in most other cities, a crucial factor for maintaining a positive mindset.

San Jose, CA

Josh Sorenson

Not far from Fremont is the third-happiest city: San Jose, CA, in the heart of Silicon Valley and home to tech giants like Adobe and eBay. San Jose has a diverse food scene, art galleries, and beautiful outdoor spaces, including nearby hiking trails in the Santa Cruz Mountains, which you can enjoy year-round. The city has the longest average life expectancy in the country. It also has one of the lowest separation and divorce rates and scores the best on the health and wellness company Sharecare’s Community Well-Being Index, which measures how much residents like where they live, feel safe and have pride in their community. It also scores extremely well on Sharecare’s Life-Satisfaction Index, which measures people’s health risks based on various physical, financial and social factors.

Madison, WI

Josh Sorenson

Nestled between lakes Mendota and Monona, Madison offers stunning waterfront views, beautiful parks, and a ton of Midwestern charm. The University of Wisconsin-Madison brings in some of its youthful energy while the city boasts a strong local food, music, and art scene. It's also a great place to live, work, and explore.

Irvine, CA

Shutterstock

Irvine, California in sunny Orange County is known for its family-friendly vibe, excellent schools, and thriving economy. Home to the University of California, Irvine, the city offers a mix of culture and nature with great parks, bike paths, nearby beaches and the Irvine Spectrum Center, a popular shopping and entertainment destination.

Honolulu, HI

Kinø

This tropical paradise and state capital, located on the island of Oahu, is famous for its stunning beaches, including the iconic Waikiki Beach, and its rich cultural heritage. Honolulu offers world-class shopping, dining, and entertainment alongside scenic landscapes like Diamond Head and lush rainforests. Home to landmarks like Iolani Palace and the Pearl Harbor Memorial, Honolulu is known for its warm aloha spirit.

San Francisco, CA

Juan Salamanca

Hop on a cable car ride in San Francisco, the #7 happiest city on the list. It's year-round mild climate and stunning hilltop views remind us just how stunning this city is. From the Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field, and Presidio Tunnel Tops to bustling Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights, Valencia Street in the Mission, and Hayes St. in Hayes Valley, there's tons to explore from a world-class food scene to indie shopping to museums and coastal views.

Pearl City, HI

Pearl City is a charming suburban community located on the island of Oahu, just west of Honolulu. The nearby Pearl Harbor National Memorial and surrounding waters with scenic views hold both historical significance and recreational activities like boating. The city itself has a peaceful close-knit community and is family-friendly with excellent schools, parks, and shopping centers.

Columbia, MD

Shutterstock

Located between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., Columbia is known for its diverse neighborhoods, excellent schools, and many green spaces with parks, lakes, and over 90 miles of walking and biking trails. Columbia’s town center features shopping, dining, and entertainment options, including the Merriweather Post Pavilion, a renowned concert venue. With a strong sense of community, access to major cities, and a focus on sustainability, Columbia is not surprisingly in the top 10 happiest cities in the U.S.

Sometimes the skincare world can seem a bit daunting and overwhelming. There are soooo many different products with so many people trying to sell them with promises that it will "change your skin for life." And while that might be the case occasionally, it's often not.

But what are the products you can actually trust? I like to shop smarter by actually looking at the ingredients first — and one ingredient I know can really works wonders when it comes to fine lines and wrinkles is retinol. And while, I know that this is a trusted ingredient, I need to do some research into it. Which is exactly what I did when speaking to Dr. Hannah Kopelman, a dermatologist at Kopelman Aesthetic Surgery. She gave me a full breakdown of what retinol really is and the best retinol products you can actually trust. So without further ado, let's get into it!

What is retinol?

Andrea Piacquadio

Retinol is a powerful ingredient that can help target fine lines and wrinkles! When talking to Dr. Kopelman, she explained that it's a derivative of vitamin A, one of the most effective ingredients in skincare for promoting cell turnover, boosting collagen production, and improving skin texture.

It's an ingredient that is incredibly powerful, so you want to make sure you start off slow, using it every other night or every two nights to start, and build up your tolerance. Dr. Kopelman says it's best to start with a lower concentration if you're new to retinol to avoid irritation!

What are the benefits of retinol?

cottonbro studio

Retinol can have so many benefits from helping with: fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, uneven skin tone, skin texture, and more! Dr. Kopelman says that it's ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and even out skin tone makes it a go-to in anti-aging routines. It also helps in clearing acne by keeping pores unclogged, making it beneficial for a wide range of skin concerns. As a dermatologist, Dr. Kopelman says that she often recommends retinol serums to patients who are looking to maintain or achieve younger-looking skin.

You'll notice that not only will your fine lines be disappearing, but also the texture or discoloration on your skin. This one attacks multiple problems at once, which is why it's a fave for so many.

Amazon

Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1%

Looking for another affordable option? Look no further than this incredible $14 gel! This was another recc from Dr. Kopelman! She says that this over-the-counter retinoid is great for both acne treatment and anti-aging, as it works to unclog pores while encouraging skin regeneration.

Amazon

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil

This product is extremely beloved by many, as you can see from its staggering almost 10,000 reviews. Dr. Kopelman says that this drugstore favorite is budget-friendly that's gentle enough for beginners, while still offering great anti-aging benefits. It is more concentrated to you're able to use an appropriate amount without worrying about it being too harsh!

Dermstore

SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5 Refining Night Cream

While the aforementioned product is for beginners, this one is definitely more intermediate — so be aware! Dr. Kopelman let us know that this is a potent option that’s excellent for more experienced retinol users and offers a concentrated dose that works overnight to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Plus it's currently on sale for $71 compared to it's normal $90!

Amazon

Laneige Firming Retinol Cream

This is a retinol that I use on a pretty consistent basis before I go to bed. You only need a tiny dot of this stuff for it to work its magic. So, it ends up lasting quite a long time! You'll notice your skin is firmer and tighter than when you went to bed! Definitely a great beginner product, if you're new to retinol. Just make sure to use no larger than a pea sized amount!

Summer Fridays

Summer Fridays Midnight Ritual Retinol

I've been using this Summer Fridays Midnight Ritual Serum since it came out, and I've loved it ever since! It's seriously one of those products that I'm always trying to stock up on — it's basically my holy grail of retinols. Not only does minimize the appearance of any wrinkles or fine lines I may have, it also significantly improves my skin texture as well. One of my ride-or-die products!

Amazon

Biossance Retinol Night Serum

This night serum in sure to firm any fine lines or wrinkles, while allowing you to wake up with the most glowing skin due to the squalene in it. I love products with squalane, because of how incredibly hydrating and moisturizing they are. The squalana + retinol together is a match made in heaven.

Amazon

Kate Somerville Overnight Retinol

This anti-aging overnight serum is supposed to be used before you go to bed, so it can really soak into the skin to penetrate the skin barrier. It has retinol and vitamin C to really firm the skin and tighten it, so you can wake up feeling glowy and youthful!

While most Utah-bound visitors might make a beeline toward Zion or Arches, Bryce Canyon National Park evokes a very rare and mystical spirit I’d argue you can’t find anywhere else.

That’s not to denounce the absolutely breathtaking beauty of the other four parks under The Mighty 5, but I experienced some truly unexplainable magic on my recent adventure to Bryce Canyon. Every twist and turn left me at a loss for words.

If you happen to stumble upon it in your travels, you’ll also be caught by surprise. Between the blue, hoodoo-dotted skyline, rocks with a sprawling spectrum of colors, and the smooth canyon walls, you really can’t help but be in awe.

Aside from hitting the trails and snapping hundreds of photos in Bryce Canyon National Park’s vastness, there’s a lot more to explore in the surrounding area. Keep reading to discover everything you can get up to in this incredibly impressive region of Utah!

Hiking Queen's Garden trail in Bryce Canyon National Park

1. There are endless outdoor opportunities.

Bryce Canyon country offers all kinds of opportunities for outdoor adventure: hiking, camping, canyoneering, ATV touring, horseback riding, and more.

Meredith Holser

Inside a slot canyon near Escalante, Utah

Hit some stunning viewpoints and experience the wild rock formations through a hike in Bryce Canyon (Queen’s Garden and Mossy Cave are two great beginner-friendly options), go off the beaten path and catch some serious scenery with with Grand Staircase ATV Tours, or dare to go deep into the region’s slot canyons, guided by the playful experts at Excursions of Escalante.

Meredith Holser

Vista near Escalante, Utah

If you’re not one for hiking, nearby Scenic Byway 12 offers a 122-mile stretch worth of views to soak up without ever having to get out of your car (though, if you ask me, being immersed in it is so much better).

No matter your appetite for adventure, there’s always something to get up to!

Meredith Holser

2. The natural beauty will leave you stunned.

Being in Bryce Canyon literally feels like you’re on another planet. As a native Texan-turned-Colorado girl, I was constantly gawking at the towering hoodoos, striated sandstone surfaces, and intense blue skies that I simply don’t see at home.

Rock formations surrounding Kiva Koffeehouse in Escalante, Utah

Every feature there is so vast, reminding you just how small of a piece you are in the world’s grand puzzle. I felt humbled in the most satisfying way possible.

Rainbow sighting at Ofland Escalante

My late August visit landed in the middle of southern Utah’s monsoon season, so I also got to witness rich bands of fog and torrential mid-day downpours – both equally as beautiful as the clear weather. Rainbows almost always rolled in after each rainfall, capturing every onlooker’s attention and encouraging an undeniable sense of calm.

Meredith Holser

Looking down into the Bryce Amphitheater

3. The area has a really rich history.

Bryce Canyon has seen many indigenous cultures throughout history, from Fremont, Anasazi, Pueblo, and Paiute. Tribes relied heavily on the region’s bounties as early as 1200 A.D., using native plants and animals to survive and thrive. It’s important to acknowledge that Bryce Canyon country’s indigenous roots are still undeniably present today.

The area’s founding is most commonly accredited to Ebenezer Bryce, a Mormon pioneer for whom Bryce Canyon was nicknamed around 1874. It officially became a national park in 1928.

Zooming out by 75 million years or so, dinosaurs roamed the surrounding Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Sixteen new species of dinosaurs have been discovered in the area since 1999 in addition to hundreds of animal and plant fossils mapped in Bryce Canyon itself.

Whether you seek out the canyon’s history for yourself or gather fun facts from the locals, you’ll surely learn a lot on your travels here!

Lil Dipper dome at Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon

4. There are plenty of places to stay, whatever your vibe is.

From glamping to camping, there’s a nice range of options when it comes to finding accommodations in Bryce Canyon country. My top recommendations?

Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon sits about 15 miles southeast (~20 minute drive) from Bryce Canyon in Cannonville, Utah. Nestled in a mellow canyon, Clear Sky’s unique windowed domes (suitable for couples or groups up to 8 people) offer unparalleled views of the stars while supplying modern comforts like air conditioning, showers, and wifi.

Meredith Holser

Looking out from a Lil Dipper dome at Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon

There’s even an on-site restaurant and bar with such friendly staff members that really make the stay memorable. Coming back to your fully outfitted dome after a day-long adventure will be extremely satisfying!

Fire pit and accessible cabins at Ofland Escalante

Ofland Escalante is located in Escalante, Utah, about 46.5 miles (~1 hour drive) from Bryce Canyon. This polished accommodation surely taps into the heart of glamping, but still feels quite grounded in the surrounding nature. Ofland is fitted with a pool, a hot tub, a food truck, a lobby stocked with grab-and-go snacks and drinks, and a playful drive-in movie theater.

Meredith Holser

Inside a Deluxe Cabin at Ofland Escalante

There’s also an epic outdoor lodge to enjoy – sit around the fire pit while you sip a local brew, play a few hands of Uno, or cozy up with a book. You can book a deluxe or tiny cabin, a decked-out Airstream trailer, or set up at your very own campsite here. There are also custom-designed accessible cabins that boast extra floor space and ADA compliant details for a super cozy stay!

Meredith Holser

Overlooking formations near Escalante, Utah

If you’re looking to camp in Bryce Canyon National Park, you can certainly pitch your tent inside the park’s North and Sunset campgrounds. The Sunset campground is closed in the winter, and both locations are first come, first served, so it can be a little chaotic to land even a single-night stay.

To avoid the frantic search for a campground inside the park, you can opt for locations outside of it, like Red Canyon Campground in Dixie National Forest (about 6 miles from Bryce Canyon) or campgrounds in Kodakchrome State Park (about 15 miles from Bryce Canyon), which still provide wonderful scenery and a comfortable place to lay your head.

Meredith Holser

Brisket sandwich with mac n' cheese at i.d.k. Barbecue

5. The food is scrumptious.

Fear not, outdoorsy foodies. Bryce Canyon country has quite a few spots to get your grub on between adventures! Sink your teeth into a hefty BBQ sandwich at i.d.k. Barbecue (Tropic, UT) or grab an insanely tasty slice at family-owned The Pizza Place (Tropic).

Meredith Holser

The exterior of Kiva Koffeehouse

Down a local beer alongside your very American dinner at 4th West Pub (Escalante, UT) or sip on some ethically-sourced caffeine with your choice of Southwestern fare from Kiva Koffeehouse’s rotating menu (Escalante).

Meredith Holser

Sipping Kiitos' Blackberry Sour at Ofland Escalante

The food is grand, but the drinks are worth mentioning, too. Despite Utah’s unusual liquor laws, there are numerous breweries and distilleries creating delectable beers, IPAs, ciders, gins, whiskies, and more. Uinta, Kiitos, and Wasatch are the big names when it comes to breweries, but Utah’s distilleries are more concentrated near Salt Lake City, so you’ll find the source of stronger spirits there.

More Must-Knows

  • Best time to visit: For the best (and warmest) weather, the summer months of June through August are ideal to visit Bryce Canyon, though the park tends to see more crowds during that time. Spring and fall (April-May and September-October) may be chillier in terms of temperature, but you’ll likely catch spring blooms or fall foliage, depending on when you decide to visit. Plus, the crowds die down in these shoulder seasons. The winter months are colder than cold and bring on unpredictable weather, though the show lays out good grounds for skiing and snowshoeing, if that’s your jam.
  • How to get there: If you’re aiming to fly to get to Bryce Canyon country, your best bet is to route to either Salt Lake City or Las Vegas. From either location, the drive to Bryce Canyon is about 4 hours, offering exceptional sights as you go.
  • Cost for the park: You can enter Bryce Canyon with a standard pass, annual pass, or America the Beautiful pass. A standard park pass costs $20-$35, an annual park pass costs $70, and an America the Beautiful pass costs $80. You can learn more about what pass is right for your visit here!
  • Trip essentials: Having sturdy hiking boots, high-quality socks (I love my Smartwoolpairs), SPF, warm layers for chilly nights, and a hydration pack (this insulated one from Brümate is so worth it) on-hand proved to be the most helpful items I packed for my adventure to Bryce Canyon. Prepare to pack comfy clothes and toiletries, plus snacks and camping items if you plan to pitch a tent.

No matter how you feel about Kim Kardashian, her beloved underwear and shapewear brand, SKIMS has some of the coziest loungewear essentials I've ever worn. I originally tried the Maternity High-Waisted Brief 2-Pack during my second trimester and fell in love with how supported my growing baby bump was. And when I was recovering during postpartum, I consistently relied on the Cotton Rib Legging.

But as much as I love SKIMS, the pieces can be pricey. Though I've definitely found they're worth it, I'm all for saving money on a good Amazon dupe. So, instead of shelling out a ton of cash to cozy up this fall, here are some incredible SKIMS dupes that are perfect for autumn.

SKIMS

Nordstrom

Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress ($80)

This lounge dress is great for the days you want to lounge in bed without feeling restricted by pants, or if you wanna put on an effortlessly chic — but totally comfy — look for you next BFF date. It's one of SKIMS' bestselling dresses that glides over all your curves and it comes with shoulder straps you can easily adjust.

Amazon

Amazon

REORIA Women's Basic Sexy Lounge Slip Long Dress ($30)

But, who wants to pay $80 for a dress? The cost has honestly kept me from adding that cozy little number to my cart.

LUCKILY, this bodycon dress has a 4.5 rating on Amazon and only costs $30! You'll get the same effect as the dress above without the shocking price. Both dresses are made out of over 90% modal fabric, with only a little bit of added spandex for stretch, so you're getting virtual the same exact experience for much less.

SKIMS

Nordstrom

Stretch Cotton Rib Leggings ($56)

I talked about these leggings before, but I can't help but mention them again. Although I just complained about paying $58 for a dress, I gladly purchased these for my postpartum body. They're incredibly soft and have a nice stretch that doesn't feel like they're cutting off my circulation.

Amazon Dupe

Amazon

Casual Work Out Set ($20)

But, you can buy this cute workout set that features the cropped tank top and matching leggings that are similar to what SKIMS has on-site! The biggest difference is that the Amazon leggings are made of mostly polyester, whereas the SKIMS leggings are mostly cotton. That means the SKIMS pair will likely be more breathable and less likely to snag or pill. Still, this is a great deal for more than half the price.

SKIMS

Nordstrom

Outdoor Midi Thigh Bodysuit ($80)

I technically refer to this as a romper, but that's neither here nor there! This bodysuit replaced my maternity body shapewear once I realized I'd gone up a few sizes, and it's been in my closet ever since.

It does have a snug fit, so you may want to go up a size to get a little more room.

Amazon

Amazon

Yoga Workout Romper ($15)

Frankly, this workout romper fits better thank the SKIMS option, IMO — and it's nowhere near $80. In my experience, the bodysuit is true-to-size, unlike its SKIMS counterpart, which was definitely an added bonus.

It could be me, but the nylon and spandex blend seems to feel better on my skin too! That being said, this option doesn't have any cotton in the blend, so it may not be as breathable.

SKIMS

Nordstrrom

Soft Lounge Mock Neck Dress ($92)

Similar to SKIMS' bestselling tank dress, this option is just too good for fall! It has the same amazing slinky texture that customers love, and it can easily be worn to lounge around at home, or dressed up for an evening out! I can totally picture it with a leather jacket and some black tall boots!

Amazon

Amazon

Casual Mock Turtleneck Dress ($20)

But you don't need to spend $92 to get the look. Though the color options are different, both dresses are made of mostly modal fabric (with some spandex for stretch). Customers love this dress because it's "super comfortable" and is made of "great quality."

I'm not against buying anything from SKIMS — like I said, I have plenty of times before — but I think it's okay to buy dupes when you're on a budget! Based on my personal experience, I can barely tell the difference between my SKIMS and Amazon pieces, so that should say a lot!
