I'm convinced Blake Lively never has a bad hair day. Don't take my word for it — Serena Van Der Woodsen's perfect beach waves, Lily Bloom's strawberry blonde layers, even Lady Deadpool's perfect high ponytail prove it. Well we can finally get Blake Lively's incredible hair for yourself thanks to her new hair care line at Target! Surprise!

The A Simple Favor actress announced the brand on July 31, promising the haircare products are "so good that they speak entirely for themselves." Here's everything you need to know about how you can get your hands on some for yourself!

What is Blake Brown Beauty?

Guy Aroch/Blake Brown Beauty

Blake Brown Beauty is Blake Lively's haircare brand, launching at Target and on the Blake Brown Beauty website this August. The brand has eight products: the Fundamental Nourishing Shampoo and Mask, the Fundamental Strengthening Shampoo and Mask, and the All-In-Wonder Leave In Potion in lieu of conditioner. Because, according to Lively, "I don't know anyone who uses conditioner in my industry.” There's also a dry shampoo, mousse, and a pre-shampoo mask.

The actress and mother shares that ever since she was little, her most-defining trait has been her hair. "It’s my longest companion in life," she says on Instagram. "For 36 years and counting. And like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other."

While she has products that work, Lively wanted to offer the haircare market affordable, clean products that still provide red carpet results. "I also wanted scents that felt like fragrances I would actually buy as high end perfume," she shares. "I wanted it to be cleaner than the products I was using with great results so I didn’t feel nervous sharing it with family. I wanted it to attempt to show how beautiful maximum sustainability can be."

Hence the vegan, cruelty free, paraben-/sulfate-/silicone-free formulas! And since Blake Lively is the Type-A friend we all need, she "wanted it to look ✨stunning✨ on your shelf because that’s valuable space in your home, it should be beautiful."

Where can I buy Blake Lively's beauty brand?

Blake Brown Beauty is available at Target starting August 4, and on the Blake Brown site starting August 5.

Why is it called Blake Brown Beauty?

Blake Lively named her new beauty brand after her father. “I wanted to put my name on the brand because it's something that I hammered, carved, welded, molded, and baked,” she tells Vogue. “It's a version of my name—my dad took my mom's last name—Lively came from my mom and Brown came from my father.”

Does Blake Lively have wavy hair?

The Vampire Diaries eight-season run means that the writers had to come up with a lot of plot lines. Jeremy seeing ghosts, vampire pregnancies, the whole concept of turning off your humanity and then having to deal with the consequences. But after Nina Dobrev exited the show after season 6, the writers decided to include a relationship that, during a game of Hot Ones Versus, TVD star Paul Wesley (who played Stefan) said should have been left in the writer's room: Stefan and Caroline.

Here's what Paul Wesley had to say about Stefan and Caroline's relationship on The Vampire Diaries.

Paul Wesley teases Caroline & Stefan never should have gotten together.

In the latest installment of Hot Ones Versus, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder went head-to-head to discuss all things love languages, the Lost ending, and, of course, The Vampire Diaries.

Right out of the gate, Ian picks up a card about Vampire Diaries and asks which single storyline Paul thinks shouldn't have "made it out of the writer's room." What a way to start!

“After Nina left the show, they were like: We need to pair Stefan with some romantic partner and then Stefan and Caroline ended up having a wedding and getting married, right?” he says.

I've always been a MAJOR Caroline and Tyler shipper (anyone else?!) so I remember not being a fan of Stefan and Caroline the first time I watched the show (although to be fair I didn't like Caroline and Klaus either). As a viewer it did feel like it was a random addition with no real buildup beforehand.

“It was a little forced but it was cute,” Ian says. "She's pretty and you're pretty."

“It was cute,” Paul agrees.

But Ian Somerhalder loves that his "longest relationship" is with Paul Wesley.

Ian Somerhalder exclusively told Brit + Co at the Nutro Farmer’s Market for Dogs that Paul Wesley is his "longest relationship," and that working on The Vampire Diaries "feels like it was yesterday." (Even though the show just had its 15th anniversary!)

“It's so funny,” he says. “Obviously, it was a lifetime ago, but it feels like it was yesterday. And so, you know, obviously streaming changed the game. The show is one of the most viewed shows in history, period — that's been seen by over a billion people, which is 1/8 of the planet.”

Ian continues that because of its reach, “[The Vampire Diaries] allowed me to build a platform. To work on things that were very close to my heart, but at the global scale, and it's allowed me to help create, enact, or build the road for a lot of change."

Everyone has their own unique way of doing things in the kitchen, but some habits are certainly more cringe-worthy than you might think – especially ones that may be considered gross, unhygienic, or unsafe. There are quite a few cooking missteps that could put you and others at risk, or simply make ‘em squeamish. If you’ve ever wondered whether your cooking habits are flawless or low-key gross, it’s time for a quick reality check.

Scroll on for 8 “gross” cooking habits to avoid in the kitchen to retain a clean, safe space to enjoy your most favorite meals!

Burst / PEXELS

1. Not washing your hands before handling food.

Your hands touch all sorts of things throughout the day, all of which carry tons of bacteria and germs you may not even realize are there. If you don’t wash your hands before cooking, you risk transferring dirt, bacteria, and even viruses onto your food, increasing the chances of contamination and foodborne illnesses.

2. Handling raw meat and then immediately touching other ingredients or surfaces.

Raw meat – especially poultry and seafood – carries bacteria like Salmonella and E. coli. If you touch the raw meat you're cooking with and then handle various vegetables, seasonings, or kitchen surfaces without washing your hands, you could spread harmful bacteria, leading to dangerous cross-contamination and potential food poisoning.

Dapur Melodi / PEXELS

3. Licking your fingers and continuing to cook.

Licking your fingers while cooking might seem harmless (especially if you’re just cooking for yourself or one other person), but it can introduce bacteria from your mouth onto the food and other kitchen surfaces. This is especially unhygienic if you're cooking for others, as it spreads germs and increases the risk of contamination!

4. Not washing your produce properly.

Nowadays, fruits and vegetables can carry pesticides, dirt, and bacteria from the handling, shipping, and storage processes. If you don’t rinse them thoroughly before eating or cooking ‘em, you risk ingesting harmful chemicals or bacteria like Listeria. Yikes.

Kristina Snowasp / PEXELS

5. Using the same knife + cutting board for raw meat and other foods without washing.

When you cut up raw meat and then immediately use the same knife or cutting board for the rest of the ingredients in your meals, you can totally transfer bacteria. This is especially important to avoid for items that may not be cooked further! It’s simply essential to wash your utensils and tools between uses or use separate ones for raw meat and other foods.

6. Using the same spoon for stirring and tasting.

Dipping a spoon into food, tasting it (even if it’s quick!), and then putting it back in the pot can potentially transfer bacteria from your mouth to the entire dish. This is wildly unsanitary when you’re cooking for a group, as it introduces germs or bacteria that others may not be immune to. The best practice here is to use a separate spoon for tasting or wash it briefly before using it again.

Mojca J / PEXELS

7. Sneezing or coughing near your food.

When you sneeze or cough, tiny droplets of bacteria or viruses can land on everything around your kitchen: food, utensils, and cooking surfaces. If you don’t cover your mouth properly or sneeze directly over food, you risk contaminating the meal, which is both unsanitary (and unappetizing) for anyone eating it.

PNW Production / PEXELS

8. Using the same towel for drying your hands, wiping surfaces, and drying dishes.

It’s crazy how quickly kitchen towels can become breeding grounds for bacteria when they’re used for multiple tasks. If you use the same towel to dry your hands, clean up spills, and dry dishes, you risk spreading germs from raw food particles or dirty hands onto clean surfaces and dishes, making it an easy way to spread bacteria… unknowingly.

RDNE Stock Project / PEXELS

9. Letting your pets near cooking surfaces.

Pets, no matter how clean they seem, carry bacteria, dirt, and even fur with them that can easily contaminate food and kitchen surfaces. Allowing them on countertops or near food prep areas (looking at you, kitties!) increases the risk of spreading germs, especially since pets can’t wash their paws after using the litter box or walking outside.

If you've been on the internet at all since Stranger Things premiered, there's a good chance you've witnessed how Millie Bobby Brown simply cannot catch a break. As a young girl, the actress (who plays Eleven on the hit Netflix series) was criticized for talking too much in interviews (then criticized for being silent the next year), and as she's gotten older, there has been endless conversation about her marriage, her sense of humor, and most recently, her makeup and body during The Electric State's press run. And she just called the press out — by name.

Here's what Millie Bobby Brown had to say to those body shamers after The Electric State premiere.

Haters flooded Netflix's Instagram comments to criticize Millie Bobby Brown's look.

Videos from the February 24 premiere of The Electric State immediately went viral — and not just because everyone asked directors Joe and Anthony Russo about Avengers: Doomsday. Throughout the movie's press run Millie Bobby Brown has been leaning into the Britney Spears 90s glam of it all, but while she's looked amazing the whole time, both press and Instagram users went out of their way to criticize her red carpet photos.

"babe you’re 21 not 41, jeez it’s so sad beautiful girls getting work done to look twice their age and bad," one user commented on Netflix's official Instagram.

"She looks like a mid aged woman with that hair style and dye," said another user, while others called her "tacky" and "old."

Although if you ask me, it's tearing women down that's tacky. And Millie Bobby Brown weighed in on the comments.

And Millie spoke out on the hate.

Millie Bobby Brown posted a reel to Instagram on March 3 to speak out on the criticism. This video breaks my heart, not just because of the content itself, but because you can just see in her eyes how tired she is. If I was constantly receiving hate from millions of people — no matter what I did — I'd be tired too!

"I started in this industry when I was 10 years old. I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me. Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on Stranger Things Season 1. And because I don’t, I’m now a target," she says in the video, going on to discuss "the articles, the headlines, the people who are so desperate to tear young women down."

After naming some of the articles' headlines, and their authors, Millie goes on to say that "this isn’t journalism. This is bullying."

"The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing," she continues. "The fact that some of these articles are written by women? Even worse. We always talk about supporting and uplifting young women, but when the time comes, it seems easier to tear them down for clicks."

Since Stranger Things premiered in 2016, Millie Bobby Brown has proven that she marches to the beat of her own drum. "Disillusioned people can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman on her terms, not theirs. I refuse to apologize for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman," she says. "I will not be shamed for how I look, how I dress, or how I present myself."

"We have become a society where it’s so much easier to criticize than it is to pay a compliment. Why is the knee-jerk reaction to say something horrible rather than to say something nice?" she continues. "If you have a problem with that, I have to wonder—what is it that actually makes you so uncomfortable? Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing."

I'm currently obsessed with kitchen banquettes and on a mission to find the perfect nook for one in my own space. Right now, we have an IKEA island with two wooden stools, which is great for busy mornings before I rush my kiddo to school. But when guests come over or we want to slow down and get cozy on weekend mornings, stools just don’t cut it. Enter banquettes: the kitchen trend everyone’s loving, and for good reason. They create a relaxed, inviting space (the ultimate “stay a while” vibe) and come in styles to suit any aesthetic, from cottage to modern. Here are ones from West Elm, Pottery Barn, McGee & Co., Target and more that I'm eyeing right now, plus cool custom inspiration!
