Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Nora knows everything about books inside and out, just like she knows that she's more like the snobby ex-girlfriend than the heroine. But when she joins her sister Libby in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina (where she keeps running into standoffish New York editor Charlie) Nora learns that she might surprise herself and everyone around her.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Anything can be bought for the right price in Ketterdam, and Kaz knows that better than anyone. When he's offered a deadly heist for an unbelievable reward, Kaz gathers a crew of thieves and spies to embark on the impossible journey.

A Game of Fate by Scarlett St. Clair

The first installment in the Hades saga, A Game of Fate explores the age-old story of Hades and Persephone from Hades' point of view. In St. Clair's tale, Hades is happy enjoying his life in the underworld when he discovers that the fates have plans for him that are outside of his control: He is to wed the journalism student Persephone, who has little interest in having any kind of relationship with him. Now, he has to prove himself to Persephone, and convince her that he isn't as horrible as he seems.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

They agree to go on one final vacation together… and the rest, they say, is the stuff of novels.

The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Crown of Gilded Bones is book three in Jennifer L. Armentrrout's Blood and Ash fantasy series. Fans of the series are *obsessed* with its mix of fantasy, romance, and adventure, and we can't blame them. In this third installment, Poppy (yes, the main character of this book is also named Poppy) and her love Prince Casteel set out to find her brother and free his, undertaking a dangerous mission that will undoubtedly lead them through a maze of twists and turns.

Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

In a story that explores friendship, race, and privilege, Such a Fun Age is both enlightened and entertaining. When Emira Tucker is accused of kidnapping a white child that she's babysitting, her employer wants to make things right. What ensues is a story about how we connect, and how we don't, and what it means to be an adult in today's society.

Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers

Grace Porter has just completed her PhD when she takes one wild trip to Vegas with her friends. Despite being the straight-laced, buttoned-up type, she decides to allow herself to completely let go… So much so that she ends up marrying a woman she barely even knows. This escapade helps Grace admit just how dissatisfied she's become with her life, and she and her new wife run away to New York to get to know each other. What ensues is a story about self-love, growing into adulthood, and healing old wounds — and it's an emotional experience on every page.

Atomic Habits by James Clear

Now in its third year as a bestseller, Atomic Habits is a non-fiction primer on how to build the kinds of habits that add up to a successful life. The key to building habits, Clear argues, lies not in willpower, but in lifestyle design. And this uber-popular book walks you through how to do just that.

Circe by Madeline Miller

Centered on Circle, the much-maligned witch from Homer's The Odyssey, this book is a reframing of some of mankind's most beloved and well-known myths from the perspective of a female antagonist-turned-protagonist. Retelling the story from Circe's point of view clues us in on the abuse, neglect, and disrespect of this force to be reckoned with, and deeply humanizes her character while telling the story of an epic adventure.

It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover

This sequel to It Ends With Us picks up right after the first left off, and Lily and Ryle are in a civil coparenting rhythm when she runs into her first love Atlas and agrees to a date. It's been two years since they've seen each other and even though Lily is excited, she knows that Atlas is the last person Ryle will want in their daughter's life. This title is available on October 18, 2022.

When the Stars Go Dark by Paula McLain

Part thriller and part emotional drama, When the Stars Go Dark combines a fictional setting with real-life missing persons cases. When missing persons detective Anna Hart suffers a huge personal tragedy, she flees to her childhood hometown to recover. But when she arrives, a girl goes missing in the community, and she can't help but realize how closely this new case mirrors one that occurred when she was a child. What ensues is a novel about things that go missing, and the emotional pain of learning to let others into our own innermost spaces.

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

The Midnight Library entertains the age-old idea that somewhere at the edge of the universe, there's a library of an infinite number of different stories about our lives… stories of alternate universes in which we made different choices, and took different paths. In this heartwarming and uplifting story, Nora Seed has to make the choice: What if she could alter her life, going back to make different choices about life, love, and career? Would she do anything differently after all?

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

Here's everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season 5, coming to Hulu soon.

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

Patrick Harbron/Disney

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Plot

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Release Date

According to The Wrap, Only Murders is looking to begin production on season 5 in March of 2025. Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Stay tuned for the official Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date.

Who's in Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Eric McCandless/Disney

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Cast

The cast of Only Murders in the Building includes Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. Téa Leoni will also return as Sofia Caccimelio, whose husband Nicky has gone missing.

According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

Season 3 featured Ashley Park, Paul Rudd, Meryl Streep, and Jesse Williams, while season 4 stars Streep, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Kumail Nanjiani, Desmin Borges, Siena Werber, Lilian Rebelo, and Molly Shannon.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Martin and Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

Will there be an Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Yes, Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for season 5! On September 4, Variety confirmed the next installment will have 10 episodes, just like the seasons before it. The latest season premiered on Hulu August 27, and will last until October 29 (just in time to try out an Only Murders Halloween costume!)

Just like the season 3 ending set up season 4, we'll have to wait for the October finale to figure out what kind of mayhem Mabel, Oliver, and Charles will get into next season. "We hope you like it!" Selena Gomez says in the Only Murders in the Building account's announcement, while Martin Short adds, "How exciting is that?"

"We're so exciting to be coming back," Steve Martin says. We're excited too!!

This post has been updated.

Dan Fogelman, Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, and Julianne Nicholson owe me a therapy session for the anxiety-inducing season finale of Paradise. It's one of the best new TV shows of 2025 and has left viewers on edge as we've tried to solve multiple riddles about the show's plot. Questions like, "Why are people living under a mountain?" or "Who killed President Cal Bradford?" were answered, but that's not all! Fans of the show also got a chance to see how easy it is to miss red flags even if they're right under our noses.

P.S. This contains major spoiler alerts!

Scroll to learn why my heart keep jumping during the finale of Paradise season 1 with our Paradise ending explainer.

Pivotal Flashbacks Reveal Who Killed President Bradford

Disney/Ser Baffo

If there's one thing Dan Fogelman loves, it's flashbacks to help explain characters' thought processes and decisions. As realistic as the underground bunker is, viewers knew it wasn't built overnight and finally met some of the characters who helped construct it. There was a focus on a construction manager (Ian Merrigan), his camaraderie with his co-workers, and the devastation he experienced that turned into rage.

Between trying to signal concern for his and his employees' health to being fired immediately after, it's not hard to see why he began researching everything he could about the bunker. What's funny about this is that viewers watched as he resolved to execute the head of state. This flashback coincides with Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) and his fervent search for answers about President Bradford's death.

Personally, my jaw dropped when I realized he was the one who shot at the president during an outdoors press conference. Unfortunately, Xavier Collins took the bullet and this landed our perpetrator in prison. But, he didn't stay there!

Disney/Brian Roedel

He found a way inside of the underground bunker and went undetected because he went to great lengths to change his appearance. His primary disguise? A harmless and friendly librarian named Trent who could go undetected. It's why he was so flustered when President Bradford strolled into the library in his bathroom to make a mixed CD and record a heartfelt message for his son Jeremy. Heartbreakingly enough, this one interaction triggered the eventual death of the President, and we finally get a clear answer: Trent the Librarian killed President Bradford.

Sinatra's Lost Control Of Her Idea Of Paradise

Disney/Brian Roedel

Sinatra's the character we all love to hate which means Julianne Nicholson fully committed to this role. Viewers knows she's a wealthy billionaire who poured her resources into building the underground bunker, but we also found out how psychopathic she is. However, she may not be residents' primary concern anymore.

After playing one too many mind games with Xavier Collins about the location of his wife, scientist Teri Collins, and his daughter, she realizes she's gone too far when he shoots the agents she silently signals to kill him. Witnessing the fall of her smug mask to reveal a frightened woman was rewarding to see because her psychological warfare wasn't working anymore. But, he's not the one who shot her!

Jane's Revealed To Be The True Psychopath

Disney/Brian Roedel

Jane Driscoll (Nicole Brydon Bloom) may be many things, but innocent isn't one of them. From the time viewers watched her poison Agent Billy Pace (Jon Beavers), we knew she wasn't to be underestimated. Based on Paradise's season finale, this was Sinatra's grave mistake.

During the tense scene where Agent Collins has his gun trained on the heartless billionaire again, we see Jane miraculously find them to let him know his daughter Presley was safe with her. I rolled my eyes at this scene, but I know Collins isn't aware she's the one he'll have to watch next.

But, he leaves the two women alone and we see Sinatra receive a nearly fatal shot that lands her in the hospital. It's not that she won't survive, but she'll likely be in a helpless situation as Jane happily plays the Wii she kept requesting and waits for her next calculated move.

Jeremy's Prepared To Start A Revolution

Disney/Brian Roedel

Once President Bradford's son Jeremy truly listens to his father's mixtape for him, he comes across a heartfelt message that makes him smile. He realizes that his dad did love him and is left with an encouraging push to change the world in a way the late president didn't get a chance to.

Near the Paradise ending, viewers saw Jeremy standing in front of a monument with the word "Murdered" spray painted across it. As he stands, a group of people slowly walk up to him and appear to listen earnestly as he shares an unheard speech. Given their reactions, I'm confident Jeremy Bradford will be leading the revolutionist charge in the underground bunker.

Agent Xavier Collins Is Going To Find His Wife

Disney/Ser Baffo

With President Bradford's death explained and Sinatra out of the way, Paradise ends with Agent Collins hopping into a plane to leave the bunker. Viewers don't know what he'll find, but we know he's going to search the ends of the earth for his wife Teri. He's convinced she's out there and it looks like he's not going to let anyone or anything stop him.

I don't know how Paradise season 2 will unfold, but it feels like there will be even more questions about if life is sustainable outside post-Tsunami and whether more people survived than originally thought.

A24 confirmed on March 4 that Celine Song's Materialists, starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal, is coming to theaters this June and I cannot contain my excitement. The new movie follows a matchmaker (Dakota) who finds herself torn between two romantic prospects. If that's too dramatic for you, girl, I'd be happy to take your place.

Here's the latest update on Materialists starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal.

Is Materialists out yet?

Materialists will premiere in theaters June 13, 2025. After Past Lives became THE summer movie in 2023 (and absolutely wrecked my roommates), I know Materialists is going to be the perfect June watch.

What is the plot of Materialists?

The movie follows Dakota Johnson's character, a matchmaker in New York City who falls for the perfect man, but can't seem to let go of her ex. Given the fact the first poster for the movie includes "save the date" and looks like a wedding cake, I'm wondering if we'll see all three characters cross paths at a wedding...

What has the cast said about the movie?

When I asked Dakota Johnson about working with Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans, she teased how much she enjoyed working with them. "They're both big idiots and I love them," she told Brit + Co exclusively at her Daddio premiere.

Where was Materialists filmed?

Materialists was filmed around New York City, which means the movie's going to have so much life and energy in every single shot. Plus Dakota's sundresses are totally giving Brooklyn gal — and I'm dreaming of prancing around the city in a dress as soon as the weather warms up!
