I love watching shows and movies like Bridgertonor Pride and Prejudice for so many reasons — the love stories, the costumes, the characters. But one reason in particular are the perfectly whimsical and elegant names. I, like many other girls, have a notes app in my phone of all of my favorite baby names to use one day, and these shows and films are the best way to find the most lovely names to use. So, I've compiled a list of all of my favorite baby names that give off the same elegant, whimsical, and ethereal vibes of Bridgerton. And in typical Bridgerton sibling fashion, we're going to go in alphabetical order juuuuuust in case you're anything like Violet Bridgerton. Keep reading for all our favorites!
Ambrosia

This is not only a fruit, but in Greek it translates to "immortal" or "food of the gods." I feel as if it's a more strong and confident version of the name Aurora. It gives a whimsical and sweet aura that I don't see often in names these days.
Briar

Who wouldn't want to be named after wild roses? This name has been on my list for years because it just gives me all the Disney princess vibes, and it would fit in perfectly with the Bridgerton siblings.
Cordelia

There hasn't been a name that screamed Bridgerton more to me than this one. It reminds me of Cressida in the show and I am obsessed! It means "heart" or "daughter of the sea."
Declan

Another perfect Bridgerton sibling name. It feels very old fashioned and classic which is just what we're looking for. It's an Irish name meaning “full of goodness.”
Esme

This is a British and Spanish name which means "esteemed" or "loved." I think to name your daughter "loved" is so precious and this name has the same airy, floaty, and whimsical feel as most Bridgerton names do.
Finn or Finley

Finley or "Finn" for short means "courageous one" which is such a strong name to give to your son. This is one that I've had at the top of my list for years!
Guinevere

This name could fit right in with our Bridgerton crew. It's strong, but still soft. It literally translates to "soft" or "fair" as well. You're sure to have a sweetheart baby with this name.
Henley

Bonus points for this one: it's unisex! Henley has traditionally been a female name in popularity, but I love it for a boy name. I love this traditional, but whimsical twist even for a middle name.
Iris
This cute name actually means rainbow! I think it feels very "frolicking-in-a-meadow" vibes, which is ideal for the Bridgerton aesthetic we're going for!
Josephine

This name feels very "Francesca Bridgerton" to me, with the same regal and classic quality, and I love it! This one isn't too outlandish, but rather simple and traditional if that's what more along the lines of what you're looking for.
Katherine

Another simple and traditional name! This name means "pure," and it's considered to be a quite powerful name as it's the name of a goddess. A noble name for a noble girl, I'm sure!
Lydia

This name means "beautiful one," so it's fitting that the name itself is oh-so beautiful. I picture Hyacinth Bridgerton when I hear this name, just so simple and pure! It's giving all the Bridgerton vibes!
Marigold

In a TV Show where there are names like Penelope, Cressida, Daphne, and Hyacinth... Marigold fits right in! This name means "golden flower," and the flower itself was the symbol for the Virgin Mary. At one point, it was a name almost exclusively used in old English novels, but is know becoming more well-known.
Matilda

This name feels so literary and sweet! Probably because it's been used so many times in books and movies over the years (all ones that I loved, and I'm sure you would too). It's an adorable name that fits our aesthetic we're going for while remaining timeless!
Natasha

Another name that gives Francesca vibes to me! Classic and timeless, it is a Russian name. Natasha comes from the Russian name "Natalya" which is also beautiful.
Ophelia

Bridgerton is very Shakespeare-coded to me, and what better name to marry the two than Ophelia after the Shakespearean work. It is a beautiful name that I've adored for years. I also love the nickname "O" for this name!
Peregrine

This name is perfect for all my wanderlust folks because this name means "traveler" or "wanderer." It's very Bridgerton inspired, and seems like a name Colin and Penelope would use. I mean, "Perry" as a nickname would be positively adorable!
Quincy

I love this name for a boy, and think it would fit in perfectly with the Bridgerton boys like Benedict, Colin, and Anthony. And "Quince" for short is too cute!
Robin

This name hits a lot of points for me because not only is it very Bridgerton-coded, but it also:
- It's a Taylor Swift song
- It's unisex
I think it would be so sweet as a girl name or a boy name!
Sylvester

What I love about this name is that it gives Benedict vibes. It just gives off that same regal and cool aspect as a name. The nickname is also my favorite part. Most Sylvester's go by "Sly" because of Sylvester Stallone which is SO cool. It's from the Roman meaning “of the forest."
