The Hottest Looks + the Most WTF Fashion From Cannes

If we weren’t a wee bit jealous of stars and their fab lives already we are glowing green with envy after seeing their jets set down in Cannes over the last week. We rounded up some of our favorite looks from the red carpet, the premieres and the equally fabulous parties. Get ready to be floored by gowns that sparkled, bedazzled and brightened up the film fest-turned-catwalk. There might even be some bonus guy style in there… and of course the best of the worst looks! Spoiler alert: Blake Lively won the Most Enviable Accessory of the whole shebang with some arm candy we’d give an arm + a leg for…

If bombshells can look demure, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Cara Delevingne looked like demure bombshells in bedazzled metallic dresses at The Search premiere.

Our favorite red carpet rocker Lupita Nyong’o in Calvin Klein and Amber Heard in Vionnet both went for glittering gowns that we would wear today and also to our junior high dance. (This is a serious stamp of approval, trust.)

Adele Exarchopoulos, (who, btw you’ll probably be seeing a lot more of soon — she just became the youngest artist ever to be awarded the Palme d’Or at Cannes!) wore a Louis Vuitton gown with a shimmering black bustier and up-and-coming model Chanel Iman brought it like a Bond girl in gold lamé.

Bedazzled Bombshells

Liya Kebede was a total stunner in Roberto Cavalli. And, yup, we get it Blake Lively, a happy marriage makes one glow. Gossip Girl would approve of S in Giambattista Valli Couture, wethinks.

Cara Delevingne rocked a beaded Roberto Cavalli and Christina Hendricks bedazzled in all the right places.

Marion Cotillard‘s beaded creation by Maison Martin Margiela might be our favorite dress ever in the world — but we wouldn’t turn Kylie Minogue down if she lent us her metallic mini for a night. Especially if that night involved going to our ex’s wedding or something.

Pantone-a-rama Pretty

Is it weird that we would wear either of these dresses… any day of the week? Probably a little, but Lara Stone (in hot fuchsia Calvin Klein) and Jessica Chastain (in dreamy, drapey Elie Saab Couture) make them look so damn good!

America Ferrera played it casual, cool and still super sexy in a yellow Louis Vuitton top with a coral Missoni skirt. Rosario Dawson rocked a little peplum in her steplum in a paint-splattered print paired with racing flag checkered heels.

Technically these looks are darker than they are colorful, but we love the bright POCs on both Jennifer Lawrence (the blue on the dress and the green earrings) and Cate Blanchett’s gorgeous Givenchy beaded bodice.

Hipster Chic Hauteness

Isabelle Carre, Josephine Japy and Melanie Laurent, plus Rooney Mara in fringed custom white Calvin Klein made boho hipster chic FANCY. Yes, we can taste that gold.

Black + White + Gorg All Over

We told you Blake Lively had the best accessory of the festival. The dress is great and all, but, like, that Ryan Reynolds is smoldering… Zoe Saldana too looked smashing in Victoria Beckham and a chain belt we just might have to hack at home.

Kendall Jenner left her sibs behind to wow in a black and white Chanel dress, a Chanel clutch and Chopard jewels, while Rosario Dawson brought it yet again — this time in a black and white floral Dolce & Gabbana dress.

America Ferrera was way on in off-white in George Hobeika Couture, and Zhang Ziyi rocked a black and white Stephane Rolland that brought a little body armor realness to the carpet.

Jumpers for Joy!

Think the black and white trend was only reserved for dresses? Think again, or better yet, watch Dita Von Teese and the rest of these ladies prove it. Dita brought class to the carpet in this number, while supermodel Coco Rocha won us over (eventually, it took us 60 seconds of head scratching) with this embroidered white suit.

Jennifer Lawrence’s wardrobe change for the Vanity Fair and Armani Party was one of our favorite looks of the week. Where can we get that belt, girl? The Search star Berenice Bejo looked ready for a dressy brunch that we would also like to attend with a romper and gorg red-orange heels.

Misses/Messes

Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and (we’re sad to say) Karlie Kloss make up one very interesting bad girl’s club in this trio of unfortunate least faves. Oh, LiLo, at least the other two got red to walk on. Karlie, we’re telling Taylor

We know it’s probably illegal in some states to say that Salma Hayek and Alessandra Ambrosio don’t look drop dead va va voom, but their Cannes picks came off more “high school prom” than “high end red carpet.” And Russian TV star Elena Lenina (middle) was too ridiculously awesome for us to leave off this list entirely. Hope she DIYed that necklace at least!

Bonus: Boys! And WTF.

Of course, the fellas brought it to the fest as well. Liam Hemsworth, Robert Pattinson, Ryan Gosling, be ours?

And just in case you wanted to know what stars look like in their downtime at Cannes…

Yes, still fab.

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

Here's everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season 5, coming to Hulu soon.

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

Patrick Harbron/Disney

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Plot

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Release Date

According to The Wrap, Only Murders is looking to begin production on season 5 in March of 2025. Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Stay tuned for the official Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date.

Who's in Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Eric McCandless/Disney

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 Cast

The cast of Only Murders in the Building includes Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. Téa Leoni will also return as Sofia Caccimelio, whose husband Nicky has gone missing.

According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

Season 3 featured Ashley Park, Paul Rudd, Meryl Streep, and Jesse Williams, while season 4 stars Streep, Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Kumail Nanjiani, Desmin Borges, Siena Werber, Lilian Rebelo, and Molly Shannon.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Martin and Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

Will there be an Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Yes, Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for season 5! On September 4, Variety confirmed the next installment will have 10 episodes, just like the seasons before it. The latest season premiered on Hulu August 27, and will last until October 29 (just in time to try out an Only Murders Halloween costume!)

Just like the season 3 ending set up season 4, we'll have to wait for the October finale to figure out what kind of mayhem Mabel, Oliver, and Charles will get into next season. "We hope you like it!" Selena Gomez says in the Only Murders in the Building account's announcement, while Martin Short adds, "How exciting is that?"

"We're so exciting to be coming back," Steve Martin says. We're excited too!!

The 2025 Oscars have come and gone. In addition to some incredible noms, like A Real Pain for Original Screenplay, Wicked for Best Picture, and Anora's Mikey Madison for Best Actress, there were some serious snubs. Because what do you mean Challengers didn't get nominated for ANYTHING?! Considering it won Best Score at the Golden Globes, I'd have thought it had that nomination secured, but the Academy had other plans.

Here's the full list of 2025 Oscar winners.

The Craziest 2025 Oscar nomination snubs.

Amazon MGM Studios

I really can't believe Zendaya didn't get nominated for her performance in Challengers. Her viral "crazy eyes" scene generated enough conversation to give her a nom in my opinion. I remember sitting in the theater and thinking, Wow, I've never seen her make that face before, can we replay that? And, of course, I'm mourning the fact the movie didn't get nominated for Best Score. "Match Point" playing during the ending of the movie will always be an Oscar-winning moment to me!

But in addition to Z, Selena Gomez also didn't get nominated for her role as Jessi Del Monte in Emilia Pérez, despite the fact the movie got a total of 13 nominations.

My group chat immediately blew up when we realized Sing Sing wasn't nominated for Best Picture.

Who were your picks for the best dressed on the 2025 Oscars red carpet? Let us know in the comments!

Gilmore Girls fans know the show like the back of their hand, but considering the show lasted 7 seasons, it makes sense that there's tons of trivia. Like the fact season 7 wasn't supposed to be the finale, or creator Amy Sherman-Palladino placed the series in a small town because she didn't know any of her neighbors growing upand wanted different for Rory.

But there's one foundational detail about Gilmore Girls you might not have known, and it could change the way you watch the show forever: apparently actress Alexis Bledel didn't like coffee! Yep, that's right. Here's how they supposedly got away with Rory drinking a cup o' Joe in every single episode.

Here's what Alexis Bledel reportedly had in her mug when Rory Gilmore drank coffee — and a surprising comment Alexis made about the drink.

Rory Gilmore loves coffee...but Alexis Bledel allegedly didn't.

Warner Bros. TV

One of the most recognizable details in Gilmore Girls is Lorelai and Rory's love for coffee. They drink it like water, and a clip from the show went viral for Rory sobbing about having to give it up. Well, Alexis Bledel probably wasn't that heartbroken because according to HuffPost, the actress didn't actually like coffee while filming the show (although according to Lauren Graham, “There is always coffee in my cup.”)

Considering one of the most viral and recognizable clips from the whole show is Rory sobbing about having to give up coffee — "And I love coffee!" — that is a shocking detail!

Netflix

However, Alexis Bledel might have actually set the record straight on the longstanding claim she always had soda in her mug instead (which seems to originally come from YourTango in 2013). Ahead of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life in 2016, the actress told Marie Claire that she loves any "winter beverage."

"Give me a hot drink and I’m happy," she says. "Hot cider, hot chocolate, coffee… I like all winter beverages!" You and me both sister.

There's a good chance Alexis' tastes changed from filming in 2000 and filming in 2016. There's also a good chance she did actually like coffee the whole time. But don't worry — we reached out to her reps for comment.

ICYMI, Starbucks is cutting 13 staple drinks from their menu. Even if your go-to order is no longer, there’s no need to fret – the chain still has plenty of similar options to choose from! As a former barista, I can guarantee you’ll find an alternative Starbucks order you love – one you just might love more than your previous drink!

Scroll on to see the 13 Starbucks drinks disappearing from menus starting March 4, plus what to order instead to satisfy your cravings.

Starbucks

Iced Matcha Lemonade

Alternative order: Green Tea Lemonade

Though Starbucks’ Green Tea Lemonade doesn’t have any matcha in it, you’ll still get a kick from the caffeinated green tea included in the sip. Plus, it’s still crafted with lemonade, so the citrus notes you like in the OG won’t be missed.

Starbucks

Espresso Frappuccino

Alternative order: Coffee Frappuccino

The Starbucks Espresso Frappuccino will be taken off menus on March 4, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your frozen espresso fix. Their Coffee Frappuccino is a great alternative order because it still boasts sweet coffee and can be easily customized with an additional shot of espresso.

Starbucks

Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino

Alternative order: Coffee Frappuccino

The Coffee Frappuccino is another reliable alternative for Starbucks’ Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino since you still get a taste of coffee. If vanilla is what you're craving, you can easily request a few pumps of vanilla syrup as a customization.

Starbucks

Java Chip Frappuccino

Alternative order: Mocha Frappuccino

I’m honestly sad to see the Java Chip Frappuccino go. It’s been my go-to order since I was a kid, and I still order it on occasion when I want a little ‘treat myself’ moment. Luckily the Mocha Frappuccino will stay on Starbucks menus and gives a similar chocolate-coffee flavor.

Starbucks

White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

Alternative order: Mocha Frappuccino

I fear there’s not a totally similar alternative order to the bygone White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino, but it’s very possible that you could order the Mocha Frappuccino with white chocolate sauce instead of the regular mocha to situate your white chocolate cravings.

Starbucks

Crème Frappuccinos (Chai, Caramel Ribbon Crunch, Double Chocolaty Chip, Chocolate Cookie Crumble, White Chocolate)

Alternative order: Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

Starbucks’ beloved non-caffeinated Crème Frappuccinos will no longer be offered starting March 4. Instead, I recommend trying out the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino and customizing it with your desired flavor – Starbucks still has so many syrups.

Starbucks

White Hot Chocolate

Alternative order: Hot Chocolate

Though the “official” White Hot Chocolate will no longer be available, Starbucks says you can still customize a regular Hot Chocolate with either mocha or white chocolate mocha sauce.

Starbucks

Royal English Breakfast Latte

Alternative order: London Fog Latte

Where the discontinued Royal English Breakfast Latte includes, well, Royal English Breakfast tea, you can still get the same sweet floral notes from a London Fog Latte.

Starbucks

Honey Almondmilk Flat White

Alternative order: Flat White

The Honey Almondmilk Flat White is sadly going away, but you can actually still order it, as long as you request some customizations that make it the exact same drink. Starting March 4, order the Flat White with almond milk and honey – or any milk and flavor of your choice!
