7 Celebrity Baby Shower Ideas You Should Totally Steal

With celebs like Zooey Deschanel and Jessica Biel announcing pregnancies and Hayden Panettiere and Kristen Bell recently giving birth, we’ve got babies on the brain at Brit HQ. Aside from the excitement over all the adorable babies that will soon be toddling around Hollywood, we’re always eager to catch a glimpse of a celeb baby shower and steal an idea or two for our own (or our bestie’s). Take a few tips from these new or soon-to-be mamas for a truly celeb-inspired baby shower.

1. Breakfast Baby Shower: They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we think Kourtney Kardashian would agree. Whether you opt for a chic Breakfast at Tiffany’s shower like the one her sisters threw for her or a causal breakfast-in-your-pjs vibe, a delicious breakfast spread is sure to be a hit. (via Kourtney Kardashian)

2. Charity Baby Shower: Feeling philanthropic? Follow Shakira‘s lead and host a UNICEF baby shower, asking guests to purchase gifts or make a donation to help improve the lives of children living in poverty. (via Shakira)

3. Seasonal Baby Shower: We fell head over heels for Blake Lively‘s rustic outdoor baby shower last fall. She and her pals celebrated with lanterns and tassels in autumnal hues, as well as baby clothes hung from a clothing line. (via @preserve_us)

4. Gender Reveal Sweets: While gender reveal parties are nothing new, we love that Gwen Stefani and Rachel Zoe chose to reveal the sex of their children using a display of sweet treats for guests to enjoy while celebrating. (via @gwenstefani + @rachelzoe)

5. Pink and Gold Chic: An event celebrating you or your bestie’s pregnancy should be one to remember. Make it chic like Vanessa Lachey’s baby shower with a little sparkle, gold decor and of course, chevron. Bonus points if your partner attends the shower like Nick did. (via @vanessalachey)

6. Couple Baby Shower: Speaking of celeb hubbies, Alicia Keys’ man took the heat off of her gal pals and threw her baby shower himself. Gentlemen, take note. (via @therealswizzz)

7. Photo Booth: These days, photo booths are a must for any major event. Alongside weddings, parties and the like, we have to agree with Fergie that a baby shower is the perfect place to snap photos with loved ones. (via @fergie)

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

In addition to the show entering production, the one and only Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) just joined the cast. Iconic!

Here's everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season 5, coming to Hulu soon.

Who's in the Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast?

Eric McCandless/Disney

The Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast features all our favorites, and some new faces! According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Steve Martin and Martin Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

The Only Murders season 5 cast includes:

  • Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora: a true crime lover who begins her own podcast after getting sucked into a murder mystery.
  • Martin Short as Oliver Putnam: a theatre director and founder of the Only Murders in the Building podcast.
  • Steve Martin as Charles Hayden Savage: an actor and true crime lover who begins the Only Murders podcast with Oliver and Mabel.
  • Téa Leoni as Sofia Caccimelio: a woman who approaches the podcast trio after her husband Nicky goes missing.
  • Renée Zellweger
  • Christoph Waltz
  • Keegan-Michael Key

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

Patrick Harbron/Disney

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

There's no Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date quite yet, but the show is in production! Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Stay tuned for the official Only Murders season 5 release date.

How many episodes are there in Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Only Murders in the Building season 5 will have 10 episodes total on Hulu.

This post has been updated.

Every season of The White Lotus, viewers are presented with a (nearly entirely) brand-new cast of privileged and snobby characters to pick apart. And from the very first episode of season 3, you've probably begun drawing fresh conclusions, casting judgments, and trying to figure out which vacationers or hotel staff members will end up perishing in the finale this time around.

But while the dark comedy is definitely skilled at creating hateable characters that most fans wouldn't be sad about saying goodbye to, there are some people who manage to either exhibit slightly worse character traits or morals than the rest of the gang, or redeem themselves in some way as the show goes on.

So, now that we are waiting with bated breath for episode 8, there are actually certain characters we've begun rooting for. Here's our ranking of seven different The White Lotus characters we want to see live this season. Beware of spoilers!

Scroll to see which characters from The White Lotus we think will actually make it out alive after the finale...

1. Belinda

HBO

Belinda isn't like the other cast members. She's a hardworking mother with strong values who keeps finding herself in unfortunate situations.

First, her dreams of starting a business with Tanya came crashing down in Season 2. And now, after participating in a wellness exchange at ahotel in Thailand, she's stuck dealing with Tanya's possibly murderous ex, Gary/Greg.

But while we commend her morals and want her to live, Belinda should've just taken that $100,000 bribe and saved herself when she had the chance. Now, her fate hangs in the balance despite being one of the most upstanding characters.

2. Chelsea

HBO

At first, I thought Chelsea was just another young girl dating an older, rich man for the perks of a luxurious lifestyle. And hey, more power to her!

But as season 3 of The White Lotus has continued to unfold, I think we've all realized that she's much more caring than self-absorbed. She genuinely feels for Rick and sticks by him, even as he's so blatantly struggling with his own mental health and disregarding her in the process.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea will actually survive, but I'm definitely pulling for her to make it out of Thailand alive.

3. Laurie

HBO

Like everyone, Laurie has her own flaws, but out of the three women on vacation together (her, Jaclyn, and Kate), she's definitely the most likable.

We feel bad about how Jaclyn slept with Valentin, and even worse because, after Laurie finally told her "friends" off and tried to spend the night with Aleksei, he wound up asking her for $10,000 to help move his mother to Thailand. Plus, she was forced to climb out of his window when his angry girlfriend showed up!

Laurie has had a tough run in Thailand, but she's by far the most real one in her friend group. If one of the girls ends up living, we hope it's her.

4. Rick

HBO

It's no secret that Rick has some issues. Starting in the first episode, when all of The White Lotus characters were supposed to be happy and soaking up their arrival at the glamorous resort, he was immediately sour and clearly grappling with something.

We've since learned that "something" was the supposed murder of his father by Jim Hollinger, and because Rick wanted to get revenge, you might not be super willing to give him any brownie points. But hear us out.

Rick might've wanted to kill Jim, but in episode 7, he showed that he had the ability to rein in his emotions. He brought a gun, but all he wound up doing was shoving Jim's chair over. Rick couldn't bring himself to harm an old man, and that shows he has at least some moral compass.

5. Piper

HBO

Out of the whole Ratliff family, Piper is the most relatable. She's over her family's surface-level interests and wants to find something to live for that's more meaningful than money and appearances.

We give her major props for lying about her so-called "thesis" in order to get her whole family on a trip to Thailand so she could scope out a Thai monastery. She's probably just as manipulative as the rest of her relatives, but at least she's using her skills to gain an insightful experience.

6. Gaitok

HBO

Gaitok and Mook would make an adorable couple. That's if Gaitok lives long enough to survive this round of vacationers at The White Lotus. He's a nice guy, but he's not the best at his job.

He managed to get his gun stolen by Timothy Ratliff, and thankfully, he got it back. But Gaitok's character has been so central to the growing tension among the security staff that we think he's bound to get involved in some sort of violence by the finale's end. Whether he perishes or survives remains to be seen.

7. Timothy Ratliff

HBO

Speaking of Timothy, our hope for his life to continue might come as a shock. I mean, he's the patriarch of a pretty insufferable family and committed serious white-collar crimes that could cause the Ratliffs to lose everything.

Nonetheless, after watching his mental state totally deteriorate over the last few episodes, it's hard not to have empathy for him. Timothy has been tranquilizing himself with his wife Victoria's lorazepam, stole Gaitok's gun, fantasized about taking his own life, and then even considered the possibility of killing both Victoria and his son Saxon to prevent them from living a life without their luxuries.

It's a blessing that Gaitok managed to get his gun back. Timothy may deserve to face the consequences of his actions back home, but he also needs some serious mental health intervention.

Jennifer Lopez may be all over our FYPs, but she's also about to be all over the big screen as well. As some of you may know, she's producing the amazing Emily Henry adaptation Happy Place, and now she's set to work on a new romance with Ted Lasso star and writer Brett Goldstein. And guess what? The two will star in the film as well! Keep reading for all the latest information on the new movie — and Brett Goldstein's IRL crush on J-Lo ;).

What do we know about Office Romance so far?

Frazer Harrison / Getty

According to Deadline, there was a huge bidding war over the Office Romance rom-com, and Netflix ended up winning. Jennifer Lopez's production company, Nuyorican Films, is going to be working on it, thanks to Jennifer's multi-movie deal with Netflix.

As to who will star in it? Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein themselves! Both are playing dual roles of writer/actor and producer/actress. We've all seen Brett Goldstein's incredible writing at play with Ted Lasso, and now we can't wait to see how it translates in this office romance with J-Lo. Brett will be writing the film alongside writer Joe Kelly.

Has cast information been shared?

How does Brett Goldstein feel about J-Lo?

David Livingston / Getty

Immediately after news was released about the two co-starring together, fans were so quick to find a clip on X from an interview in 2018 where Brett is talking about J-Lo's movie, Hustlers. He says in the interview, "She's 50! 50! I love her." He then goes on to say, in regards to a scene where Jennifer cuddles another actress in the movie, "I've never wanted to be cuddled more. That is one of the best cuddles. Give me one of your special cuddles." Based on this reaction, we just know their chemistry is about to be off the charts!

What else is Jennifer Lopez working on?

Amazon

Office Romance isn't the only rom-com J.Lo is working on! She's also working on adapting the EmHen book Happy Place for Netflix, which we all know and love (Hi, Emily. We love you!). It will be a multiple-part series on the platform with Leila Cohan from Bridgerton co-Executive producing it.

According to Deadline, Cohan will be the showrunner and co-writer for the series, which we are so excited for as Bridgerton-lovers! As for other future projects, we can't wait to see more news of projects J.Lo is working on, because if these two are any signifiers, then we know it must be good! I've been floating in the pop cultural abyss because I was clueless about how amazing Netflix's latest comedy Survival of the Thickest is! I recently watched the first couple of episodes of Season 2 and it's the funniest and rawest TV series I've watched since being persuaded to binge The White Lotus. But, that's not the show it actually reminds me of.

No, Survival of the Thickest feels like Insecure and And Just Like That had a comedic baby we get to watch grow in real time. There's the familiar supportive friend group, burgeoning careers, and passionate love stories that make you want to call your bestie to complain or scream in excitement.

I genuinely can't stop watching it and can't wait to share why you should be watching it too!

Scroll to learn everything about Survival of the Thickest and why you should watch it this weekend!

What is 'Survival of the Thickest' about?

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

What happens when you face the worst breakup ever? You cry and find a way to revamp your life, according to Mavis from Survival of the Thickest.

The series revolves around her getting acclimated with being single again while juggling her floundering stylist career. She's got a supportive village, but that doesn't mean she's not prone to making mistakes or facing situations worth cackling about outside of her group chat.

Where does filming take place?

The show is primarily filmed in New York, but parts of Season 2 take place in Italy (via IMDB)!

Who's a part of the cast?

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Survival of the Thickest has a sprawling cast that features some new and familiar faces. According to Marie Claire, here are the main characters who've appeared in Seasons 1 and 2:

1. Michelle Buteau as Mavis Beaumont

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Mavis Beaumont may have started off as a heartbroken stylist's assistant in Season 1 of Survival of the Thickest, but she's since gone on to build a name for herself in Season 2. She's also trying to figure out if she's going to stick with her new love interest Luca or go back to her familiar ex Jacque.

2. Taylor Selé as Jacque

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Jacque is a talented fashion photographer who seems to know what to say to uplift Mavis. Though he starts off saying and doing all the right things, Mavis catches him cheating on her and it leaves her devastated. Interestingly enough, Jacque appears to be remorseful over his huge transgression and tries to prove that he won't make the same mistake again.

3. Tasha Smith as Marley

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Marley's one of Mavis' no-nonsense besties who applies the same tenacity to her career as a finance executive. Her inspirational quips may come across as 'funny,' but she doesn't lie when she encourages those around her to move in excellence.

4. Tone Bell as Khalil

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Mavis is surrounded by even more love with the addition of the creative Khalil by her side. He has a softer approach than Marley, but he still wants the best for Mavis and has no problem helping redirect her when she's ready to throw pity parties. If only he could apply the same principles to his own love life...

5. Liza Treyger as Jade

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

If you've ever had a roommate who triggered you at every turn, you probably had someone like Jade in your life. She's the kind of person who seems like she has good intentions, but always finds a way to do something that feels toxic. Whether it's ignoring boundaries or saying the wrong thing at the worst time, Jade's going to do it.

6. Garcelle Beauvais as Natasha Karina

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Garcelle Beauvais may have left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but you can watch her break necks and hurt feelings in Season 2 of Survival of the Thickest. She plays former '90s supermodel Natasha Karina who becomes Mavis' client after an initial period of misunderstandings.

7. Anthony Michael Lopez as Bruce

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Bruce has been on a mission to be the best assistant to Natasha Karina for as long as he can remember, so he takes it personally when Mavis doesn't seem to understand her new client in the beginning. Though he warms up to her too, his Type-A personality still follows closely behind.

8. Marouane Zotti as Luca

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Luca's all about Mavis and that's the I like it. Not only is he eye candy, but he's got enough passion stored in his body that makes me feel he's the obvious choice for our love-worn protagonist. However, only time will tell if Mavis thinks she and him are endgame or not.

9. Peppermint as Herself

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

Survival of the Thickest is all about making sure all voices, storylines and identities are championed. Having Peppermint as another close friend of Mavis rounds out her supportive village because she's big on bringing her fun-loving energy wherever she goes. And when Peppermint takes a brief break from performing to get married, Mavis is right there rooting for her.

10. Alecsys Proctor-Turner as Nala

Vanessa Clifton/Netflix

My, how the tables have turned! In Season 2 of Survival of the Thickest, Mavis gets her own assistant in the form of the fashion-obsessed Nala. Though she has moments where her naive nature shines through, she helps provide even more comedic relief and moments of clarity.
