This Might Be the Best Two-in-One Gift Wrap Hack EVER

Where would we be without cotton? Still covering ourselves in leaves and animal skins, most likely. Don’t get us wrong, we can get down with a furry shrug, but we couldn’t be more thrilled that cotton exists. Today we’ve teamed up with our friends at cotton and we’re going to show you how to use one cotton item two different ways. We made adorable cotton kitchen linens and wrapped gifts with them. Your friends will love these 2-in-1 gifts!

Check out the video above to see how fun and easy and versatile this method can be. And check out each of the wrapping techniques below for more detail on how to DIY!

All you need is some beautiful cotton fabric and you’re ready to go! First, turn your fabric into tea towels and kitchen towels. Here’s a list of what you’ll need:

Materials:

– cotton fabric

– pom-poms

Tools:

– sewing machine

– iron

– measuring tape

– pins

– fabric scissors

And now for the instructions!

Cut your cotton fabric to the size you desire, and then iron your hem. Make sure to fold it a second time to make a proper hem. Now sew along your edges.

It’s that easy! That hem get you itching to sew something else? Check out our sewing e-class to ramp up your skills.

For a little extra flair we added pom-poms to the edge of our tea towel. These are the absolute cutest!

Now it’s time to take this towel and transform it into gift wrap.

Materials:

– cotton fabric

– cotton yarn

Tools:

– double-sided tape

– fabric scissors

GIVE THE GIFT OF CHAMPAGNE

Turn that bottle of champagne into a gorgeous hostess gift by wrapping it with a kitchen towel. Your host will be so pumped to get both a new towel and a bottle of bubbly.

Place the bottle in the middle of your cotton kitchen towel. Bring the ends together and then lift them up towards the top of the bottle. Begin to twist each side until the cotton fabric is hugging the champagne bottle. Separate the twisted ends and tie them in a knot around the neck of the bottle. Make sure any loose ends are tucked in and smooth out your knots.

How cute is that?!

For this one we’re indulging in some pattern-on-pattern action. We’ve got a tea towel for the main wrap and then we’ve cut up some other cotton fabric to layer on top.

Put your box in the center of your tea towel and wrap your gift as you normally would with paper. Use some double-sided tape to keep your fabric in place. You don’t actually need the tape because the yarn will secure the fabric, but it’s nice to have some there while you’re working.

THE LAYERED LOOK

Cut out a long strip of fabric and a triangle using two different cotton fabrics. You can use another tea towel, an old shirt or any other cotton fabric you have lying around. Then cut a few pieces of cotton yarn to wrap around the box.

Add your layers and adhere them with double-sided tape. Wrap your box with yarn and you’re all set!

We adore these layered patterns!

This one is simply tied up in a little knot using an everyday tea towel.

With your box at a slight angle, place it in the middle of a cotton tea towel. Take opposite corners and pull them to the center of the box. Tie a double knot.

ALL WRAPPED UP

Now grab the other two corners and tie another knot covering up the first. Tuck in any loose pieces for a cleaner look.

It’s the Minnie Mouse meets rockabilly gift.

Don’t want your card hanging off the side of your gift? Cover your box with a kitchen towel with a folded pocket.

Place your box at the end of the cotton towel. Fold the short sides up and over the box. Then fold the fabric over the box by rolling it. When you’ve gone about ¾ of the way, pinch the fabric and fold it over to create a pocket. Continue to fold the end of the fabric over so it’s on the back side of the box. You might have to do this part a few times to get it just right. Finally, cut a long piece of cotton yarn and wrap it around the sides to secure the fabric in place.

EVERYONE LOVES A POCKET

Add a card to your pocket as a final touch.

Follow our steps or get creative and come up with your very own way to wrap gifts using cotton. The possibilities are endless.

It’s available in two pretty shades: Blush, a soft, rosy nude that pairs beautifully with pink hues and lighter lip colors, and Willow, a rich, warm-toned nude that complements brown tones and deeper shades.

The trend toward skincare-infused makeup is making your beauty routine work harder with nourishing ingredients. City Lips Defining Liner features vitamin E, helping to keep the lip line smooth while subtly enhancing its shape for a fuller, more defined look. In our Take 5 series, sponsored by Verizon, we ask women in business about unexpected challenges, their inspirations, recent wins, and how the free Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program has helped propel their business forward.

In this segment, Paige Wiese, founder & CEO of Tree Ring Digital in Denver, CO, walks us through some of the ways she encourages clients to double down on marketing when business is slow. Paige built her business as a solopreneur graphic designer to a team of 15, helping clients with SEO, online ads, and social media management. Here’s her Take 5, plus more tips for surviving the business lulls below!

What's a recent small win for you and your business?

Paige: A recent small win has been just seeing business pick up again. I am seeing businesses start to engage with their marketing efforts and really trying to get to the root of why their website might be underperforming. We look at what they can be doing to see their money actually go to a place that it should be going.

What's a big piece of advice that you give to your clients?

Paige: A lot of them want to back off anytime there's a little bit of scarcity. I really think that's the time to double down, whether it be your digital presence, your website, or just adjusting how you're spending your money. But instead of just saying, ‘Hey, we're going to stop [investing in marketing],’ ask ‘How do we double down in the correct way and make sure we're seeing measurable results out of it?’ I do it myself anytime business is a little slow. I think we have to either change or we need to be doubling down. A lot of clients come to us when the pipeline is already dry and money is tight and they’re hoping for a quick fix. Marketing, unfortunately, isn't a quick fix.

See more tips for surviving business lulls below!

What's an unexpected business challenge you’ve faced and how did you overcome it?

Paige: I think one of the bigger challenges that we've run into has been more on the employee side, some of the retention or the hiccups that come along the way and then just learning from them. So how can we be a better, stronger company coming out of this and how do we use it as a growing opportunity?

How has the Verizon Small Business program helped propel your business forward?

Paige: I learned about the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). It's a free resource that’s self-paced and very digestible. The variety of topics it covers is a large gamut for any size business. The Selling with Storytelling course, especially, was really valuable to me, just really getting your messaging out there. I laugh that I sometimes enjoy the marketing ones a little bit more just because it is a refresher or another take on how we do this.

Thanks Paige!

It has been over three and a half years since Daniel Craig's final James Bond movie, No Time to Die, premiered in October 2021. Amazon has since acquired the Bond franchise, and now that a new film is finally in the works, fans around the globe are wondering who will continue the legacy of 007.

Following Daniel's majorly successful five-year streak as the spy, he's passing the torch and leaving behind some pretty big shoes to fill. Still, the next Bond has yet to be cast, prompting plenty of speculation online. And the casting rumors — full of very, very attractive men — definitely do not disappoint. Here's who everyone thinks could be the next Bond!

Scroll to see the rumored top contenders to play James Bond next...

1. Theo James

First up on the watch list is Theo James, most well-known for starring in The Gentlemen andThe White Lotusseason 2. The 40-year-old from Oxford, England, would be the right age for the role, but Theo himself actually pushed back against the idea in 2024.

"Everyone's interested in that because it's a big part of British cultural identity, but that probably wouldn't be me. I do think there are better people for that job," he explained to The Guardianat the time.

"And honestly, it would be terrifying: if you do that, there's no going back. You are opening Pandora's box there. You have got to be willing to live a very different life and have a different life for your family. And that would be pretty tricky."

So, while many still want the iconic role to go to Theo James, fans have begun setting their sights on other potential Bond actors, like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, John O'Connor, Regé-Jean Page, and Henry Cavill.

2. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Starting with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, he is 34 years old, and his slightly younger age could be beneficial to the franchise, allowing them to hold onto the same 007 for a bit longer. But, ever since The Sun reported that Aaron could snag the role "should he wish to accept it" in 2022, the actor has been avoiding questions about the franchise.

Jeff Spicer/Getty Images

3. Josh O'Connor

Meanwhile, Josh O'Connor previously joked to Deadline, saying, "Wouldn't it be funny if I played Bond?" and the idea really riled up fans. Just like Aaron, Josh is 34, but it appears his quip might've been just that. In fact, in 2025, he claimed to "have no thoughts" on the role, saying he and Daniel Craig "did an Actors on Actors, and then something else happened, and then suddenly I was James Bond. If I am Bond, I don't know about it."

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

4. Regé-Jean Page

Following Regé-Jean Page's portrayal of the Duke of Hastings in the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, he also got thrust into the 007 conversation. But even though he expressed flattery over the speculation in 2023, he hasn't indicated any part in the next Bond film and, at the time, stated to Vanity Fairthat he had "enough on his plate."

5. Henry Cavill

Finally, one more so-called frontrunner for the spy franchise is Henry Cavill. During a 2024 appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, he didn't seem that opposed to becoming the next Bond, either. Nonetheless, when asked whether he thought he'd get cast, the 41-year-old admitted his age may be an issue.

"I have no idea; all I've got to go on are the rumors. The same information you have. Maybe I'm too old now, maybe I'm not, we'll see," he replied.

Other Potential James Bond Actors

Some other actors that fans believe are potentially Bond-worthy include Joe Alwyn, Paul Mescal, Richard Madden, and Idris Elba. Still, it seems that we will just have to wait and see until the next film, expected to be released in theaters by the end of 2027, gets further into production and promotion.

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick return in our first Another Simple Favor trailer! And when Blake’s character Emily shows up at Stephanie’s (Anna Kendrick) book reading, Steph asks the question I’ve wondered all along: how is Emily out of jail? Of course, Emily ignores the question and instead asks Stephanie to be her maid of honor. WHAT.

Keep reading for our breakdown of the Another Simple Favor trailer before the movie drops on Prime Video May 1.

The new 'Another Simple Favor' trailer is explosive (literally).

The new Another Simple Favor trailer is even crazier than the first — in addition to fireworks, and Anna Kendrick's Stephanie trying to figure out Emily's master plan (and almost getting thrown off a building?), a building explodes — and lots of people look on in shock as something off screen holds their attention.

We haven't seen Stephanie and Emily come to blows this time around (yet), but they're true masterminds who are determined to outsmart each other and are basically fighting without actually fighting. And in a hilarious moment at the end what appears to be a drowned body is really just Stephanie holding her breath for as long as possible.

Blake Lively haunts Anna Kendrick in 'Another Simple Favor' trailer.

Another Simple Favor, of course, sees the return of Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, but we'll also see Henry Golding, Bashir Salahuddin, Alex Newell, Andrew Rannells, Aparna Nancherla, and Kelly McCormack.

The main thread throughout the story is how Emily feels about Stephanie stealing her life…and despite the fact she doesn’t say she’s out for revenge, I totally think Stephanie needs to watch her back. We also finally get a really good look at Em's lush Italian wedding, and I'm not surprised that she's gone all out for the big day. If there's one thing Emily loves, it's a statement.

Another Simple Favor was briefly touched by Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us controversy when rumors claimed A Simple Favor 2 had been postponed.

"Despite glowing test screenings, Blake Lively’s refusal to promote—amid her messy legal battle with Justin Baldoni—and growing tensions with Anna Kendrick have derailed the sequel," X user Eric B tweeted on January 10. "Anna is furious. Paul Feig is disappointed. Hollywood is in shock. This isn’t just a movie—it’s an implosion."

"This is total BS. Sorry," Paul said in his retweet that same day. "The movie is finished and coming out soon. Don’t believe anything you read on social media these days." Whew! I can't wait to see Another Simple Favor when it hits Prime Video on May 1. Stay tuned for the latest updates!
