Ideally, anything with around-the-clock domination. Powder rooms, or half baths, are truly the most exciting spaces to design in a home. You can take bold risks without blowing your budget and it’s the perfect place to personalize with unexpected touches, like swoon-worthy wallpaper or statement tile that reflect your unique style. To inspire your next 2025 makeover, we’ve rounded up our favorite half bath decor ideas from top interior designers, proving that even the smallest spaces can make a big impact.
Trend alert: 15 half bath decor ideas every designer is loving in 2025:
Michael P.H. Clifford
Idea #1: Scalloped Backsplash
This half bath designed by Kirsten Blazek of a1000xbetter is an absolute stunner. The home hails from the roaring '20s and elements like unlacquered brass hardware, natural stone countertops, and a B&W silent film print make subtle calls to that era. The scalloped backsplash is a perfect detail for this character-filled powder room. Check out the full gorgeous cottage remodel by Blazek.
Gavin Cater
Idea #2: Marble Sink
Designers Amanda Leigh and Taylor Hahn of celebrity-loved design firm House of Rolison are never afraid to go bold with marble. The design duo were inspired by the home’s French-country architecture and this bath exudes the timeless luxury found throughout the home. Get the look with this Etsy Wall Mount Calacatta Viola Marble Sink Basin.
Artistic Tile
Idea #3: Statement Mirror
Choosing a decorative or oversized mirror can make the space feel larger and add visual interest. This Art Deco bath from Artistic Tile pairs beautiful pink tile with a dramatic gold mirror, both complementing the rainbow onyx sink.
Madeline Harper
Idea #4: Bold Wallpaper
There's nothing like a statement wallpaper and the half bath is an excellent opportunity to try something fresh and colorful. Austin architect Alice Arterberry of Arterberry Cooke designed this charming bathroom with Cole & Son Frutto Proibito Wallpaper in Hyacinth & Orange. Here are some wallpaper ideas to try!
Shade Degges
Idea #5: Classic Beadboard
Karan and Sapna Aggarwal of L.A. design firm Bungalowe designed this European-inspired half bath by pairing a classic beadboard with House of Hackney London Rose wallpaper. So romantic!
Cari Field
Idea #6: Pattern Blending
James and Christine of Stewart-Schafer thoughtfully renovated their clients' 200-year-old home in Connecticut, merging Persian flair with timeless classic beauty. This stunning floral B&W wallpaper pairs perfectly with the dramatic B&W marble sink. Keep the elements in the same color territory to make the patterns work seamlessly.
Gavin Cater
Idea #7: Textured Walls
Experiment with natural stone or wood accents for warmth and create textured walls for contrast and a unique touch. Bungalowe's Karan and Sapna paired this travertine sink with plastered walls that organically feature the natural stone, creating an earthy, modern palette that compliments the home’s architectural roots.
Courtesy of Hollis Jordyn Design
Idea #8: Colorful Sink
Who says sinks have to be white? Design principals Hollis LaPlante and Jordyn Grohl of Hollis Jordyn Design featured a teal sink, retro brass light from Etsy, and Benjamin Moore Sandblast paint to elevate this 1960s bath. "We wanted to create a moody powder room and thought the mauve paint tone really accentuated the teal and brass in a romantic way," says Grohl.
Gavin Cater
Idea #9: Floating Sink
Because powder rooms are meant generally for guests, there's little need to store all your bathroom essentials. Floating sinks help maximize space. In the same home as above, Karan and Sapna of Bungalowe use a travertine sink and quiet luxury aesthetic to create a calm, soothing space for a bathroom break.
Nils Timm
Idea #10: Dark and Moody
Don't be afraid to go dark in a small bathroom. Drama is good when it comes to half baths where you want to make an impact. Amanda and Taylor of House of Rolison created a tonal palette that combines luxury with functionality in this elevated design.
Gavin Cater
Idea #11: Homey Vibes
Add a small vase with fresh flowers, a scented candle, and/or an elegant soap dish to personalize the space. Here's another nature-inspired gem by House of Rolison.
Gavin Cater
Idea #12: Unique Lighting
Add a statement light, like a small chandelier or pendant, to elevate the space, and consider fixtures with dimmable options for versatility. Love this unique space by House of Rolison.
Gavin Cater
Idea #13: Maximized Wall Space
Because you don't get a lot of floor space in a half bath, use walls to your advantage. Even the toilet doesn't touch the floors in this bathroom inspired by Karan and Sapna's trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.
Cari Field
Idea #14: Tile Wall
Tile is a practical option for bathrooms and with a small space, you can go big here. Hollis and Jordyn infused this space with a pop of blue tile that travels from floor to ceiling, paired with contrasting B&W tile floors, creating an eclectic and colorful space. Pro tip: Pay attention to floors too! Heated floors can also be a luxurious touch.
Nils Timm
Idea #15: Monochrome
This green on green bath by House of Rolison is a showstopper. Find a jewel-toned marble and color-match it to the wall paint for a luxurious vibe that will wow your guests.

The day Target swimsuits hit stores is the day I can feel myself becoming myself again. After all, summer is when I thrive! As the weather warms up (albeit slowly), it's time to shop all the Target swimsuits before the cutest ones sell out.
From one piece bathing suits to teeny, cheeky bikinis, the retailer's got their swimwear game on lock – and these 16 Target swimsuits prove it! From more modest swim dresses to spring break-worthy matching sets, scroll ahead for the best Target swimsuits of the season.
Target One Piece Swimsuits
Shade & Shore Shirred Ribbed Bandeau Cheeky One Piece Swimsuit
This one piece bandeau-style swimmy is giving major cool girl vibes. The soft, slightly ribbed material it's made out of is designed to hug your shape in the most flattering way, while the bust stays put with the help of a durable elastic band. If you don't exactly jive with the strapless look, this $25 style arrives with a set of detachable and adjustable straps.
This little number is also available in three other colors (black, blue, and pink) and you can shop it in sizes XS-XL now.
Kona Sol Pucker Square Neck One Piece Swimsuit
If there's one thing about me, it's that I love a square neckline. They're universally flattering and provide your look with somethin' a little bit different than the rest!
That's exactly why this very marine-inspired green suit is perfect for poolside or the beach – the unique neckline will have heads turning left and right. Best of all? You'll feel comfortable and supported all day long, thanks to the sewn-in cups and the wide adjustable straps.
This $46 piece is truly timeless and will last you past this season and the next. Shop it in this gorgeous green or lavender or peach! It's now available in plus sizes 14-24.
Kona Sol Full Coverage Tummy Control Cap Sleeve U-Wire One Piece Swimsuit
This Target swimsuit comes complete with a tummy control feature that will undoubtedly make you look snatched, no matter where you are. I've never seen a style like this one, TBH, and I am obsessed – the slim cap sleeves and deep-diving notch on the neckline are just adorable, plus they add a feminine air to the look as a whole. You could even get away with wearing this as a bodysuit on dry land!
This berry-red color definitely speaks to the spring and summer seasons with beautiful vibrance. You can snag this $42 one piece in sizes XS-XL now!
Shade & Shore Twist-Front Plunge One Piece Swimsuit
This cute suit makes me want to singlehandedly bring back ombré fashion... The twisted front detail is enough to make it stand out from other styles, but that's not all this Target piece has to offer! The flipside of this swimmy features an open back that secures stylishly with a bow tie, allowing you to show some skin and simply get some sun. The plunging neckline definitely incorporates a flirty vibe to your vacay (or pool day) get-up.
This $36 piece is also shoppable in a rich brown color if ombré isn't for you. You can snag it in sizes XS-XL now.
Shade & Shore Square Neck Wide Binding One Piece Swimsuit
The white trim on this Target swimsuit delivers some serious vintage vibes, contrasting wonderfully with the mesmerizing green body. This number boasts medium-level coverage, so you can move about without worrying about an accidental slip or wardrobe blip. The fit is fairly straightforward, plus it's customizable with the addition of adjustable straps.
Add this pick to your cart for just $36! It's currently shoppable in sizes XS-XL.
Shade & Shore Mesh Front One Piece Swimsuit
Mesh is just that girl. The see-through cutouts on this Target swimsuit allow for a hint of mystery and sexiness... because, after all, you should feel sexy in your swimsuit! I think black is the perfect color to opt for when buying a suit because you can be confident it'll match with whatever else you're wearing at any point in time.
The mesh paneling on this one piece crosses back and forth across the front of the stomach, with the rest of the material being an opaque black. This suit is the perfect amount of spicy for when you want to look and feel your best by the pool or ocean.
Snag it for $40 in this deep black or a stark white color in sizes XS-XL today.
Wild Fable High Leg Cheeky Scoop Back One Piece Swimsuit
This one piece makes a play on traditional suits, instead hiking up the leg holes to elongate your legs and giving it a plunging open back to reveal some skin. It's fairly basic when it comes to the other Target swimsuits, but I think it works perfectly for those who aren't looking for extra bells and whistles.
There aren't any cups in this swimmy – just a convenient built-in shelf bra. It's fully lined and fitted with adjustable straps to find your ultimate fit! Shop it for just $20 in this eye-catching red or a basic black.
Shade & Shore Ribbed Plunge Front Cut Out One Piece Swimsuit
This has gotta be my favorite of all the hottest Target swimsuits this season. The triangular cutout that sits just above the tummy gives the illusion that this one piece is actually a two piece, but it's not as uncomfortable as a bikini in any way. The supportive high-waisted bottom half is extremely flattering (the high leg makes it extra-cheeky), while the ruched top has all the pizazz.
This $50 pick secures with a tie in the back, so you can land on a fit as tight or as loose as you like. The fact that it's shoppable in actual bra sizes is life-saving for a good fit, too! Find this floral design in sizes 34D-38DD.
Target Bikinis
Wild Fable Triangle Bikini Top + Side-Tie Scoop Front High Leg Adjustable Bikini Bottoms
It seems this season is all about the high leg! High leg silhouettes like this will def make those beautiful legs look longer and luscious. This strappy bikini set with a tie-back triangle top and adjustable, tied bottoms is very straightforward compared to most traditional suits, but that doesn't mean it's bland! The electric purple colorway makes this pick instantly attractive. If purple just isn't the vibe, you can also shop it in black, red, or green!
Both pieces of this two piece are $12, making the entire look an accessible total of $24. The purple shade is now shoppable in sizes XXS-XL!
Shade & Shore Shirred Ribbed Bralette Bikini Top + Ribbed Hipster Bikini Bottoms
This sporty set is living in my head rent-free. For those that prefer not to fuss with excessive ties, clasps, or buttons, each piece of this bikini is super easy to put on – with just a singular clasp at the back of the top. Plus, no underwires or bulky cups to mess with! The shirred v-neck top also features adjustable straps, so finding a length that feels right isn't a challenge. The bottoms are more of a low-rise vibe.
Each piece in this set is $15, so your whole look will set you back $30. You can find this style in black, brown, or pink, too. Shop it in sizes XS-XL today!
Wild Fable Center Front U-Wire Bandeau Bikini Top + Scoop Front Ultra Cheeky Ultra High Leg Pieced Bikini Bottoms
I simply cannot get enough florals! I love the more abstract, color-blocked design on this Target bikini.
The top hugs your bod in the most loving way, securing in the back with a wide-strapped bow tie. It also comes ready with detachable, adjustable straps for the pool days you'd prefer to have more support up top. The flirtly little u-shaped wire detail is the cherry on top for me, TBH! The bottoms are equally cheeky (literally showing some cheek, if you know what I mean), but soooo adorable for sunning.
The top is $18 while the bottoms are $15. All together, this colorful look costs $33 and is available in sizes XXS-XL now.
Shade & Shore Underwire Ruffle Trim Bikini Top + Ruffle Cheeky Bikini Bottoms
I highly recommend buying a white swimsuit if you're jetting off to a coastal vacation. The clean color will match perfectly with a blue water beach!
This flirty n' femme bikini set begins with a stunning ruffled top that's supported nicely by a discreet underwire. The top (with cute crossed straps in the back) secures behind you with a simple tie, while the bottoms flaunt ruffled trim on all sides. The bum also has some very flattering ruching running down the middle to accentuate your figure! This is one highly Instagrammable suit.
This Target swimsuit ($43 for both pieces) is shoppable by bra sizes, now available in sizes ranging from 32A to 38DD. The sizing for the bottoms ranges from XS-XL!
Shade & Shore Longline Keyhole Halter Bikini Top + Strappy High Leg Extra Cheeky Bikini Bottoms
I am fully here for the keyhole design on this suit. The fact that you don't have to layer it yourself every time you go to wear it is super helpful, too! The top on this bright orange bikini fits snugly on your bust, securing in the back with a basic clasp. The strappy bottoms feature a playful tie-back accent that can be styled a handful of different ways!
This suit also follows bra sizing, now available in sizes 32B-38DD. The bottoms vary slightly, following a XS-L size range. All together, this electric look totals $48.
Target Swim Dresses
Swim 365 Plus Size Princess-Seam Swim Dress
This vibrant pattern is everything! Dip your toes into the tropical vibe this summer with this Target swim dress that fits like a glove. It's lined on the inside with a durable, stretchy material that also provides some favorable tummy control, if you're looking for it. The hem hits at your upper thigh, so this suit is still super youthful and ready for any adventure!
Shop this pick in sizes 8-34 for about $67 now.
Swimsuits For All Plus Size Tiered Swim Dress
The tiered look on this swim dress make it a bit more sophisticated for sitting by the ocean or playing in the pool! No matter what you're up to, you can trust that this suit will stay put, thanks to its comfy mesh lining. The scoop neck silhouette shows off your arms and collarbone in the most flattering way.
This $89 pick isn't sold in stores, but you can snag it online in sizes 10-26!
Swimsuits For All Plus Size High Neck Wrap Swim Dress
The crossing neck straps on this style are adorable and add an air of elegance to your swim look! Not to mention, this blue and purple colorway is making me wanna book a flight to Hawaii, ASAP. This tummy-controlling swim dress is lightly lined with mesh on the undersize so you won't feel too engulfed in the water-friendly fabric.
Snag this $86 pick that'll last you season after season online only in sizes 8-26.

Let’s explore how the stars will orchestrate our paths this month. Keep reading for extended intel into your sun, moon, and rising signs, and prepare to take on January confidently.
Here's everything you need to know about your January horoscope for 2025!
What to Expect in Your January Horoscope for 2025
January starts with the love planet Venus, phasing into the sign of dreamy and ethereal Pisces on January 2. Love will be dreamy—and it can unleash the hopeless romantic in all of us. This can ascend or dissolve your love story as this energy reveals the importance of compassion and mutual understanding in relationships. Selfless acts can only take you so far, and keeping your energy in check would be in your best interest. Any feelings of exhaustion and uncertainty are the sign of observing your relationship. Make room for adjustments as needed. Speaking of relationships, Mars, the other love planet that rules sex, backspins into the sign of Cancer on January 6. Remember that Mars retrograde is still underway, and it's extending lessons that involve patience and steadiness. With Venus and Mars in the water signs, we cannot help but feel aligned with our hearts and souls. Impulsivity and emotional extremities are a no-go. Take a step back and hold space for unresolved feelings. This period is essential for us to find safety and solace in love.

Luckily, our thoughts and ideas will begin to make sense as Mercury, the messenger planet, enters Capricorn on January 8. Our messages will be clear and concise. So, if you have been feeling a bit misty and unable to form your ideas since last month’s Mercury retrograde, expect the fog to begin to lift. You have the green light to brainstorm ideas or develop plans.
Something magical is about to begin. The North Node (AKA the point of destiny) officially shifts into the sign of watery Pisces on January 11. The last time the north node was in this position was in 2006! Think back to this time in your life and observe your standing that involves healing and self-compassion. For these next 18 months, this will be our chance to begin taking stock of being truthful and understanding of others. It’s time to align with your truth while making peace from the past.

Mid-month, the Full Moon takes place in the sign of Cancer alongside Mars in a close degree on January 13. This interchange can bring up feelings of impatience and frustration involving stagnant results. Remember that slow and steady wins the race. Full Moons are an incredible outlet for rest and letting go of things beyond your control. This Full Moon will be a wake-up call and a test of your will to be at peace with yourself no matter where you are in your journey.
Expect to feel a breath of fresh air or a burst in your bubble as the Sun enters Aquarius on January 19. Tangible results will shape you as you observe your position in society and friendships. Luckily, Pluto, in alignment with the Sun, will enable you to look at the bigger picture involving your aspirations and how you can optimize your energy for your greater well-being. It's time to either clear out or evolve your connections. The messenger planet, Mercury, then progresses into Aquarius on January 27, building traction with our future goals. Ideas may stir quickly these next few weeks, and you may have difficulty keeping up. Jot your ideas down and look back at your notes later. Your messages will take form once Mars goes direct next month.

This month concludes with the New Moon in Aquarius, which is in a beautiful alignment with Mercury and Pluto, on January 29. This stellar combination will breathe new life and infinite possibilities involving long-term vision. Witness a strength in your voice and will to step forward in complete confidence. This lunation extends this desired support as you let go of old baggage related to past regret or misunderstanding. Don't you think it's finally time to let go? Begin to manifest your dreams and note what has been holding you back from success in the past. Visualize your future and observe if your current surroundings support this next step in your path.

Gemini, this is a month of personal and professional transformation and expansion. Experience a boost in your confidence with Venus in your tenth house of career and public life. Theme: Choose Your Path
Cancer, January brings a time of personal growth, relationship reflections, and expansive opportunities. With Venus entering your ninth house, your interconnectedness to life will level up. Broaden your horizons by traveling or exploring new methodologies. Seek new experiences that will open your heart and mind while deepening your sense of purpose. Remember, Mars retrograde in your first house beckons you to pause and reflect on your personal goals and how you present yourself to the world. You may experience delays or rethink your direction in life, which could signal a period of self-discovery and reinvention. Relationships will undergo review as Mercury’s move into your seventh house of relationships highlights communication within your partnerships, especially with close friends, your love partner, or business associates. It’s a good time to clear the air, engage in meaningful conversations, and strengthen connections. The North Node shifting into your ninth house sets the stage for growth and possibilities in the next 18 months. This shift will encourage you to explore new ideas, travel, or pursue higher learning. The Full Moon in your sign brings a decisive moment of personal culmination in your first house, illuminating your identity. Self-reflection and designating a quiet time will help you realize what no longer aligns with your well-being. As the Sun and Mercury enter your eighth house later in the month, your focus pivots to deeper, more transformative areas of life, such as intimacy, shared resources, and emotional healing. The New Moon in Aquarius invites you to set intentions around letting go of old emotional baggage and embracing transformation, particularly in your closest relationships. Chef Genevieve LaMonaca
Foolproof Beef Wellingtonby Chef Genevieve LaMonaca
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs beef Tenderloin center cut canon (ask your butcher)
- 1-2 T Avocado Oil for searing
- 8oz shallots, minced
- 1 lb Mushrooms, cremini or button, minced
- 6 T butter
- 1 t thyme leaves
- 1 T minced Parsley
- Salt and Pepper TT
- Pastry Dough x 2:
- Bread Flour 1 1/2 cups plus 1 T
- Butter 3/4 cup (6oz) cubed
- Salt 1/2 t
- Ice cold water 1/4 cup
Directions:
- Slice off a 2 lb center cut canon from a beef tenderloin or ask your butcher.
- Pat dry, season heavily with salt and pepper. sear on all sides using a fat with a high smoke point (Avocado oil)
- Tip: Precooking your beef is the secret to preventing a soggy bottom crust and most of the moisture is removed prior. This will also ensure that your tenderloin is cooked perfect every time.
- Roast in a 150 oven to an internal temp of 115. Chill
- TIP: I like to measure my canon lengthwise side to side then the circumference by using butchers twine. This will help me determine the size I need to make my prosciutto bed and pastry sheet.
- Make your mushroom duxelles. Saute half a pound of minced shallots in 6 T butter then add 1 lb finely chopped mushrooms and thyme, saute, deglaze with sherry wine as necessary, cook until pan is dry, add minced parsley, season and set aside.
- Add flour and butter to a counter top mixer and using a paddle, combine on lowest speed until the butter is turned into crumbs and all the flour is Incorporated. Pour in your ice water and mix until combined. Place dough onto the counter and form into a ball then flatten/ wrap with plastic wrap and chill.
