’90s Summer Babies: Prepare Your Hearts for Dippin’ Dots Cereal

Even though as adults we try our best to eat a diet rich in fruits, veggies, and all the healthy stuff, sometimes we just want to revisit our favorite childhood foods… so we appropriately freaked the heck out when we heard that Dippin’ Dots cereal actually exists. Yep, this ice cream cereal, available in Banana Split and Cookies & Cream, hit Walmart shelves recently.

If you haven’t enjoyed Dippin’ Dots since the days of the Walkman and jelly sandals, you’ll certainly remember the signature melt-in-your-mouth sweetness and unique light-as-air taste. According to Cerealously.net, the new cereal contains corn-and-oat spheres that taste exactly like the chilled dots and “clusters” naturally flavored with milk. It’s as close to the real thing as you can get.

Reviewers at SnackGator noted that the banana split box features a blend of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla flavors, as well as the distinct “banana split flavored cluster,” with a similar texture to a Rice Krispies treat. They applaud General Mills for really nailing the exact banana split flavor. According to the site, the cookies and cream flavor is super chocolate-y, although slightly less cookies-and-cream-esque than expected. Still, it earns points for not getting “mushy” in milk, and that’s pretty much everything we need to be sold on this cereal of our ’90s-loving dreams.

You can pick up your own family-size box of these cereals for less than $4 at Walmart or $15 a box on Amazon. But don’t fret: rumor has it that other grocery chains will carry it by the fall. For now, get yourself to Walmart pronto to relive your best childhood memories all summer long.

There's no worse feeling than going through your entire skincare routine just to realize the products meant to cleanse your skin and remove makeup actually didn't do anything at all. Because leftover mascara is truly the bane of my existence, I've tested tons of face wipes that really get the job done.

These are the best face wipes for sensitive skin (and all skin types!) that effectively clean your complexion from dirt, grime, and any pesky makeup.

Amazon

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Facial Cleansing Towelettes

These face wipes are my absolute go-to, especially when I'm traveling and don't have room in my carry-on for an entire bottle of micellar water. They leave my skin feeling so fresh. Plus, they deliver tons of moisture since they're formulated with hyaluronic acid – no stripped skin around here!

Amazon

Of course, the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Facial Cleansing Towelettes are impressively effective at removing every single trace of makeup, from foundation to eyeliner and mascara. I find that I only really need one wipe to fully clean my face!

Target

up&up Unscented Facial Wipes

B+C Head of Content, Ali, adores these face wipes from Target because they're capable of wiping stubborn mascara right off and don’t ever leave her skin feeling stripped of its moisture. They're formulated without fragrance, making them one of the best face wipes for sensitive skin. They're friendly around the eye area, too. The best part is they're super affordable at just $3 a pop!

Amazon

Cetaphil Gentle Makeup Removing Face Wipes

Cetaphil is the bomb when it comes to skincare products for sensitive skin. Their fragrance-free, makeup-removing face wipes are made with aloe vera, chamomile, and green tea that help further soothe the skin after your makeup's gone. They are also amazing at removing dirt, excess oil, and other impurities.

Amazon

Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes

I am capital 'o' Obsessed with these face wipes from Ursa Major. The pack comes with 20 individually-wrapped wipes, which are perfect to take on-the-go for a little refresh. I use them most frequently after the gym, especially if I have somewhere to be right after a workout.

Amazon

The Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes simultaneously clean, exfoliate, soothe, and hydrate using Ursa Major's 4-in-1 Essential Face Tonic, which is lightly infused with uplifting scented notes of orange, lavender, and fir. They're truly a treat for the skin.

Amazon

Honest Beauty Fragrance Free Cleansing Makeup Remover Facial Wipes

These face wipes are as gentle as can be. The formula is certifiably hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, dermatologist and ophthalmologist-tested, and non-comedogenic. Plus, they don't dry out the skin!

Amazon

What I like most about the Honest Beauty Fragrance Free Cleansing Makeup Remover Facial Wipes is the cheerful packaging – day or night, using them feels like a dream and offers the perfect dose of self-care.

Target

up&up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

B+C Head of Content, Ali, also loves these Target face wipes and can't leave the store without grabbing 4 at a time. The gentle, calming scent allows for such a luxurious wind-down experience when it's time to remove your makeup at the end of the day. They're so good at removing long-lasting makeup — including waterproof mascara. Score!

Amazon

Burt's Bees Rose Water Face Wipes

Since I typically rely on micellar water to remove my makeup when I'm posted up at home, I really love these Burt's Bees face wipes infused with it. They get the job done super quick, while the rose water helps soothe my skin so it's not dry or inflamed at the end of the day.

Brown butter pasta. Wedge salads. Espresso martinis. Actual martinis. What do these foods and bevs all have in common? They make me fancy as ever when I’m chowing down on them.

But there’s one flavor in particular that goes above and beyond in the way of fancy foods, and it just so happens to be featured in one of Trader Joe’s tasty new dips.

Trader Joe's

I’m talkin’ truffle, baby! Not one, but two types of the earthy, richly-umami fungus stars in Trader Joe’s Truffle Dip, and TJ’s fans can’t get enough.

Trader Joe’s Truffle Dip boasts an “exceptionally creamy” base made up of ricotta, parmesan, and cream cheese. Most importantly, it earns its super sophisticated flavor from a blend of black truffle paste and white truffle-infused olive oil. Yeah, I’m obsessed.

@traderjoesobsessed

Trader Joe’s fan account @traderjoesobsessed recently shared all the truffle goodness on their page, with truffle-infused favorites like Truffle Burrata, Truffle Brie, andTruffle Oil joining the ranks. Their followers truly blew up the comment section with lots of love for the famed Truffle Dip

“Come through truffle!!!!🔥❤️,” one person wrote.

“I use this as a pasta 🍝 sauce,” another commenter said. “It's amazing!!”

“I think it’s soooo good with the brioche toasts,” someone else said.

“I buy one every week,” another person commented. “I'm obsessed!”

The Trader Joe’s Truffle Dip is shoppable in stores for just $5.49 for 7.5 ounces of the creamy, dreamy product. It’s the perfect addition to slather on lunch wraps and sandwiches and will definitely make your holiday charcuterie spread shine this year.

No matter how you enjoy it, you’re sure to become absolutely obsessed, too.

We've been loving all the cute winter outfits we've seen this year and can't wait to see how others express their personal style in 2025. We're sure some people will continue going for the 'quiet luxury' look while others may prefer to re-vamp the mob wife trend. Whatever works for you is A-okay with us — except if you plan to wear outdated shoe trends.

There are just some pieces of fashion that should remain in the land of nostalgia instead of forcing them to be trendy again — and we know just what they are.

Find out which outdated shoe trends to stay away from in 2025

There aren't any rules stopping you from wearing these shoes, but they may raise an eyebrow or two. This is one of those times where we're not pretending we'll listen without judging.

1. Wedge Styles

José Martin Segura Benites

As popular as these shoes were, it’s time to officially retire them. They have a way of reverting an outfit back to the early to mid-2000s and we’d love to not be reminded of our nights spent walking on sticky floors in a dark, sweaty club.

2. Shoes Without Heels

Jeffrey Campbell

We still can’t believe this was once a coveted trend, but we’re not afraid to admit we bought into it. Though we haven’t seen anyone wear heelless shoes in a while, we sincerely pray no one thinks about revamping them in 2025. They deserve to remain a nostalgic piece of fashion we hardly ever talk about.

3. Excessively Chunky Heels

Fashion Nova

There’s a chunky heel and then there’s something that looks like a walking cinder block. In a perfect world, we’d abolish the latter so they never see the light of day again. But, we know someone is still making heels that can cause serious damage if someone steps the wrong way so we’ll say this: try not to bring them into 2025.

4. Sequin + Glitter Shoes

Amazon

These were once one of the ultimate party girl shoes, but nothing says outdated quite like all-over sequin shoes. It doesn’t matter if it’s your birthday or not, wearing them is a style faux pas in 2025. The only time they’d be acceptable is if you’re going to an 80s-themed party.

5. Patent Leather Boots

José Martin Segura Benites

It almost pains us to say this but patent boots are officially on the outdated list. They were once considered the ‘cool girl’ shoe to wear. Now they unfortunately scream, “I’m stuck in my late teens to early twenties and I’m not ready to let go.”

6. Dominatrix Style Boots

Fashion Nova

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wearing knee or thigh high boots. However, we’d love to see less of the dominatrix style. Unless you’re headed to fashion week and are working with a stylist to convey a certain look, please skip this outdated trend in 2025. We'd hate to see you appear on someone's 'worst-dressed' list.

You won’t be able to find the latest and greatest Trader Joe’s product on the bakery table or in the frozens aisle – instead, make a beeline to their beauty section.

That’s right – Trader Joe’s has a beauty section that hosts everything from toothpaste to hair oil. Whether you’re an avid Trader Joe’s beauty shopper or tend to glaze over their personal care goodies in favor of their epic desserts, you’re definitely going to be excited about this brand-new find.

To make things even more exciting, the find in question is an utter dupe of one of Summer Fridays’ most famous lip products.

@traderjoesobsessed / Summer Fridays

Behold the Trader Joe’s Lip Butter Balm Duo! Trader Joe’s fan account @traderjoesobsessed recently surfaced the amazing lip care find on their Instagram page, and I, too, am obsessed.

The duo consists of a Vanilla Mint flavor and a Brown Sugar flavor, both of which are packaged in tubes that look super similar to the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balms.

Each squeezable tube is also fitted with a clear applicator tip with almost the exact same divot.

@traderjoesobsessed

While a single tube of the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm goes for $24, the Trader Joe’s Lip Butter Balm Duo is shoppable for just $7. Shoppers are saying it makes a great stocking stuffer for the holiday season!

“Yes I’m obsessed!!!” one commenter wrote.

“Here for the packaging 😍,” another said.

“I love these! (And Summer Fridays!),” someone else commented.

Sephora

Some Trader Joe’s beauty fans did note that the TJ’s Lip Butter Balms boast a few differences from the famed Summer Fridays ones. A few shoppers highlighted the fact that the TJ’s balms aren’t as thick in consistency and don’t have a tint to them.

Nevertheless, several Trader Joe’s fans say that the formula of the new Lip Butter Balm Duo is “not sticky at all.”

One shopper said that it “makes my lips look so juicy.”

“These do actually hydrate/heal lips,” someone else noted.

Another said it “definitely leaves a nice glow and smells so good.”
