#VacationGoals: Travel to ALL 6 the Disney Parks Around the World

If you love Disneyland as much as most of us love Disneyland (celebs included), then you probably daydream of not only hitting the US parks, Disneyland AND Walt Disney World in the same year, but visiting ALL the Disney Parks across the globe (and maybe throw in a Disney cruise for good measure). The recent opening of Shanghai Disneyland marks the sixth park competing for the title of the “happiest place on Earth.” But in this race, with all of the elements that are relatively the same (major castles, Main Streets and Minnie + Mickey), plus some that are totally unique, each park really does come out a winner. Here’s what you need to know about each park and why you definitely should go to them all.

Disneyland, Anaheim, CA

Disneyland is the OG Disney park — the place where it all began back on July 17, 1955, in what was once home to acres of orange groves. Disneyland is the ONLY park that Walt Disney, the man who started it all, ever stepped foot into, and you can really feel the Walt presence everywhere — from walking down Main Street and grabbing a sundae at the Horseshoe Review (where he and his wife Lily celebrated their 30th anniversary), to peeking up at the apartment Walt had above the firehouse. This park is the sacred map for all the Disneylands and Magic Kingdoms that came after it.

Number of parks: Two: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure

What to do that’s unique: All of Cars Land (only found in Anaheim), Animation Academy (where you can learn to draw Disney characters — so fun), Sailing Ship Columbia, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Matterhorn Mountain, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Indiana Jones, Storybook Canals, Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Tarzan’s Treehouse and the seasonal Nightmare Before Christmas and It’s A Small World holiday overlays.

Stay here: To really experience the Disneyland of yore, stay at the swanky Disneyland Hotel. The gorgeous Grand Californian and Paradise Pier hotels are also on the grounds. Wherever you stay, make sure to grab a drink at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Room.

Price for one day:Approx. $155 for a one-day Park Hopper pass

Walt Disney World, Orlando, FL

Walt Disney World is MASSIVE. To put it in perspective for you West Coasters, Disney World takes up over 40 square miles. That’s almost the same size as San Francisco (which is 49 square miles). While people on the West Coast flock to the much more intimate Disneyland, those on the East Coast think of Disney World as their park.

Number of parks:Six: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.

What to do that’s unique: Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, the PeopleMover and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (all at the Magic Kingdom), the Great Movie Ride (Hollywood Studios), the American Adventure (Epcot), all of Animal Kingdom and the two water parks.

Stay here: Disney World has sooooooo many awesome hotel options, you almost can’t go wrong. You can check out the whole list of 25 different hotels here. Our faves include Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (for the tiki action), Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (for its rustic charm), Disney’s Contemporary Resort (for its Mary Blair murals) and, last but not least, the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for the views of their savannah.

Price for one day: Approximately $160 for a Park Hopper pass (depending on dates)

Disneyland Paris, France

When Disneyland Paris first opened, it wasn’t an immediate success. But that’s changed, and now it’s très popular. In fact, many world-traveling Disney fans declare it their favorite Disney park for its charm and style. The park is just 20 miles east of the center of Paris and is the most visited theme park in Europe.

Number of parks: Two: Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios

What to do that’s unique: Ciné Magique, Crush’s Coaster, Space Mountain: Mission 2 (you go upside down!), Les Mystères du Nautilus, RC Racer, Animagique, La Tanière du Dragon, Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril (totally different then the Indy ride in Anaheim) and Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (YES! A Ratatouille ride!).

Where to stay: There are seven hotels: Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Hotel New York (designed by renowned American architect Michael Graves), Disney’s Newport Bay Club, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne, Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe and Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch. We’d suggest the super swank Disneyland Hotel, which has amazing placement right at the entrance of the park.

Price for one day: Approximately $58 for a park hopper (basically Disneyland Paris is a total DEAL)

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005, and the designers took a whole lotta care into incorporating Chinese culture, customs and traditions. Disney even strictly adhered to the rules of feng shui throughout the park. The park stays true to the classic Disneyland scheme and includes seven areas: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, Toy Story Land and, of course, Main Street, USA. Compared to the other grandiose parks, Hong Kong Disneyland is kinda small, but it’s only about 15- to 20-minutes from the airport, so it’s easy to make a visit.

Number of parks: One

What to do that’s unique: They have a completely unusual Haunted Mansion called Mystic Manor, which is inhabited by the home of Lord Henry Mystic, an adventurer, and his adorable and mischievous monkey, Albert. They also have the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, which is kindof like the Mine Train ride at Walt Disney World.

Where to stay:Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. We’d recommend the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, a “lavish Victorian palace nestled along the shores of the South China Sea.”

Price for one day: Approximately $70

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland was the first park to be built outside of the US, holding its grand opening in April of 1983. It’s always been wildly popular and a huge draw for tourists from Japan and beyond. It’s actually the second most popular park (not just Disney — theme park, period) in the world (right after the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World).

Number of parks: Two: Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea

What to do that’s unique: At Tokyo Disneyland, instead of New Orleans Square and Frontierland, they have the World Bazaar and Westernland. And ALL of DisneySea is unique, with its various lands that include the Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery and the American Waterfront.

Where to stay:Disney Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel and the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Miracosta. We’d totes stay at the luxurious and carefully themed Hotel Miracosta, which is located inside of Tokyo DisneySea and has its own private entrance into that park.

Price for one day: Approximately $75

Shanghai Disneyland, China

The newest of the Disney Parks opened in Shanghai, China in June 2016 to much anticipation. This park, the first of its kind in mainland China is, as Bob Iger, CEO of Disney says, “authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.” They hired Chinese architects, designers and oodles of researchers to find ways to seamlessly incorporate Chinese cultural elements. Not only is that a nod to the millions of future Chinese visitors, but that means non-Chinese Disney lovers will satisfy their love of Disney and have a cultural experience.

Number of parks: One

What to do that’s unique: This park has a few new types of lands: Gardens of Imagination, Adventure Isle and the totally cool Treasure Cove, a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed area. A few of the unique must-do rides include TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Pirates of the Caribbean — Battle for the Sunken Treasure, Voyage to the Crystal Grotto and Camp Discovery: Challenge Trails.

Where to stay: Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and the Toy Story Hotel. If you have kids, our pick is the Toy Story Hotel. If you’re going for a swanky holiday, then stay at the fancy pants Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.

Price for one day: Approximately $75

We're always ready to go back to Hogwarts, whether we're making a Harry Potter cocktail for our September 1st celebration or hosting a movie night in our coziest PJs. And thanks to HBO, we'll be able to visit for the first time all over again. On April 12, 2023 Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that an original Harry Potter series was coming to their Max streaming service.

The series will be released over the course of ten years (!!) and WBD promises that it'll feature a book authenticity and attention to detail that even the most knowledgable Potterhead will appreciate. Grab your Harry Potter house scarf and your pumpkin juice, and keep reading for everything you need to know about the new Harry Potter TV show!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about HBO's Harry Potter TV show.

  • A brand new Harry Potter TV show is coming to Max.
  • The series will go "more in-depth" into the books than the movies did.
  • The team was recently joined by Succession's Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod.

Is Ben Barnes playing Sirius Black?

Ben Barnes/TikTok

We don't have confirmation on who will be playing Sirius Black yet, but Ben Barnes' latest TikTok has fans hoping the new show will be our years-long fancast come to life. The video features Ben using a Harry Potter character filter, and when the filter lands on Sirius, Ben makes a very excited face. Not to mention the fact he captioned the video, "#iykyk."

Ben Barnes has been the fan's pick to play Sirius since the mid-2000s (alongside Andrew Garfield as Remus), and it looks like they're finally starting to play into the fandom! "Are you Sirius, Ben?" one user commented, as both the perfect pun and fishing for casting news. "I will actually watch the show if you're Sirius Black," another says, while a third jokes, "Sir how do you feel feeding our delusions?"

Will there be a Harry Potter TV show?

Warner Bros.

Yes, we're getting a new Harry Potter TV show! The official video announcement features the Hogwarts candles we see in the first film coming together to create that classic golden, lit-from-within logo. It's totally magical and nostalgic, but has a new contemporary edge I can't wait to see in its full form.

Will the Harry Potter TV show follow the books?

Amazon

Yes, book fans will be happy to know the new series will definitely follow the plot of the books. And Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group, finally gave us a tease during MIPCOM‘s C-Suite Conversations. "It’s an unbelievable dream, honestly, and as somebody who is a huge fan of books, the opportunity to get to explore them in maybe a little bit more in-depth than you can in just a two-hour film," she said (via THR). "That’s the whole reason we’re on this journey.”

Has HBO begun casting for the new Harry Potter series?

Warner Bros.

Dungey also revealed they've started looking for a new golden trio. “There’s not a lot to talk about at this moment," she says. "We’ve got our fantastic writing staff in place and they are doing what they need to do. And casting calls have opened up in the U.K. and Ireland, so the process is moving along. It’s going quite well.”

What else do I need to know?

Warner Bros./IMDb

“We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way,” Casey Bloys, HBO & Max Content's Chairman and CEO, said in the press release. “Harry Potter is a cultural phenomenon and it is clear there is such an enduring love and thirst for the Wizarding World.”

The series comes from Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television, with J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, and Ruth Kenley-Letts serving as executive producers. Over the last few years, Rowling has made headlines for her conservative views and commentary on transgender identities, but at the time, Bloys didn't comment when asked whether her involvement could affect their ability to move forward.

On June 26, 2024 it was announced that Francesca Gardiner would write and serve as showrunner and Mark Mylod would executive produce and direct several episodes. Both worked on Succession.

"I'm truly thrilled to announce our director and writer, both of whom I interviewed as part of the production team," J.K. Rowling tweeted. "Both have a genuine passion for #HarryPotter, and having read Francesca's pilot script and heard Mark's vision, I'm certain the TV show will more than live up to expectations."

When is the HBO Harry Potter TV show release date?

Max/HBO/Warner Bros.

The new Harry Potter series is expected to hit Max in 2026, according to Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav (via Deadline). That means we could start seeing cast lists and getting more specific plot details in 2025!

Who plays Harry Potter in the new series?

Warner Bros.

In an interview with Comicbook.com, Daniel Radcliffe makes it clear that even though he's very excited about the new show, he probably won't be included in the new cast of Harry Potter.

“I’m sure whoever is making [the series] will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” he says. “So I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it.”

There's no word on whether any of the original cast will actually be returning, but after we cried while watching the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, we can only hope that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright, and Tom Felton will at least make cameo appearances. I'd love to see Daniel Radcliffe in the Ministry of Magic, or see Tom Felton walking around Diagon Alley. (However, I'm really hoping they're cast as some of the professors. Just imagine Emma as Professor McGonagall!)

Is Harry Potter on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Warner Bros.

The Harry Potter series is currently available to stream on Max and Peacock. However, you can also rent the movies on Amazon Prime!

Chris Evans is one celebrity heartthrob that just about the entire internet loves. He's kind, he's romantic, and he has one of the greatest laughs ever. If you haven't read up on how much of a romantic the actor and director is, let me tell you, it's swoon-worthy. He told ET Online he considers himself “a very romantic guy" and that he's "romantic with [his] love of music or art or nature," and told ELLE that "if you're ever fortunate enough to love someone and have them love you back, it's worth protecting that." Again I say: swoon!

Chris is a pretty private person, but over the years, he's admitted just how much he wanted to settle down. Well, a little over a month ago, he finally tied the knot with fiancée Alba Baptista! 🎉 Here's everything you need to know about the wedding and the star-studded guest list.

The latest news on Chris Evans & Alba Baptista's relationship.

  • Chris Evans is known for being "a very romantic guy."
  • He tied the knot with Alba Baptista in September 2023.
  • The couple reportedly had two "wonderful and beautiful" weddings, one in Massachusetts and one in Portugal.

Was Chris Evans at the Oscars 2024?

Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images for Vanity Fair

While Chris Evans and Alba Baptista might not have been at the Oscars, they did make headlines for getting cozy after the pre-Oscars party — and then made their red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party! The couple looked amazing in black, white, and red (very Oscar-appropriate), and simple silhouettes & minimalist accessories gave them an overall romantic, relaxed look.

After a video speculating Alba and Chris might have separated after the actress was seen without her wedding ring, the couple showed up to the premiere of Chris Evans' new movie Red One and shared a hug on the carpet. And at the November 11 NYC premiere of the film, the couple showed up in complementary outfits and had their arms around each other. Don't worry, romantics — this couple doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Where did Chris Evans and Alba Baptista get married?

Jason Merritt/Getty Images

Chris Evans and Alba Baptista had a small ceremony on September 9 at their home near Boston, Massachusetts. According to Page Six (who first broke the nuptial news), guests had to sign NDAs and give up their phones throughout the course of the wedding to keep everything private.

Who was at Chris Evans and Alba Baptista's wedding?

Arnold Jerocki/Getty Images for Miu Miu

Guests included family and close friends of the couple. When I saw that list included Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner, who all costarred with Chris Evans in the MCU, I genuinely had to fight the tears. See a photo here!

It also appears that Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenburg, as well as John Krasinki and Emily Blunt, attended the wedding as well.

What has Chris Evans said about his marriage to Alba Baptista?

Craig Barritt/Getty Images for ReedPop

Over the weekend, Peoplereported that Chris finally opened up about his marriage during New York Comic Con! Not only did the lucky audience get to see his wedding band but they also learned Chis and Alba hadtwo weddings. The second one was in Portugal which makes perfect sense given the fact Alba is from Lisbon, Portugal.

Happily gushing about both ceremonies, Chris said they were "wonderful and beautiful." He also mentioned he and Alba have been focusing on embracing this new season in their lives while gearing up to enjoy all fall has to offer. He truly is a dreamy and romantic man.

How did Chris Evans meet Alba Baptista?

Andreas Rentz/Getty Images for European Shooting Stars

Fans have speculated that the actors met in the summer of 2021, when they were both in Europe filming (he was filming Netflix action flick The Gray Man opposite Ana de Armas and she was filming Warrior Nun). After interacting with each other on social media, People reported in November 2022 the couple had been dating "for over a year and it's serious...They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her."

Throughout 2022, Chris posted jump-scare videos on Instagram (where he would scare his family members, and then they'd scare him), and at the beginning of 2023, he made his relationship with Alba Instagram official by posting a compilation of videos where the couple scared each other!

Who is Alba Baptista?

Manolo Pavón/Netflix

Alba Baptista is an award-winning actress who we've seen in titles like Warrior Nun and Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris. She won the Berlin Film Festival's European Shooting Star Award and the award for Best Actress at the Festival Iberico de Cine, and on top her awards, she was also named one of IMDb’s Top 10 Breakout Stars of 2020!

We hope we get to see Chris Evans and Alba Baptista together in a movie soon ;).

There are a few dystopian stories that feel so relevant, they almost feel like nonfiction, and readers have always considered Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale to be one of those stories. The book was published in 1985 to rave reviews, and when Hulu adapted the novel into a TV show in 2017, it became the first streaming series to win the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. No big deal!

Fans have been waiting for news on the show ever since the season 5 finale aired in November of 2022, and after a nearly two-year wait, The Handmaid's Tale season 6 is finally in production. Here's everything you need to know about the final installment of the hit series, including a sneak peek from the upcoming season.

Is there a season 6 of Handmaid's Tale release date?

Elisabeth Moss/Instagram

We don't have an exact release date for The Handmaid's Tale season 6 yet, but we do know it'll premiere in the spring of 2025, according to Disney+'s first look in their Coming In 2025 teaser video. That ideally means we could see it anywhere from March to May!

The eligibility period for the Emmys ends in May, meaning the show will be eligible for 2025 Emmys consideration! The Handmaid's Tale season 6 was scheduled to film in 2023 but was delayed due to last summer's Hollywood strikes.

On September 7, actress Elisabeth Moss posted an image from set. "Guess who's back? Production on the final season has officially started," the caption reads. In addition to starring as June, Moss will direct the first episode of season 6.
