Say Hello to Summer With These DIY Disney Princess and Prince Bathing Suits

You don’t need to wait ’til Halloween to dress up — or more specifically, to dress up like your favorite prince or princess. Since it’s summer, we decided to create swimsuits inspired by our favorite Disney royalty. These coordinating suits are the perfect addition to a themed bachelorette party or a 30th birthday. Grab your crew and get ready to DIY and dress up like the Disney stars that you were truly born to be.

Belle

Materials and Tools:

Wrap the chiffon fabric around your shoulder and tie into a knot. Sew this knot into the center of the top of the suit. Cover the knot with yellow pearl beads to give it that classic Belle flair.

Let the yellow fabric drape off your shoulders to create the perfect suit for getting whisked away on the dance floor — or a great suit to avoid tan lines :)

Cinderella

Materials and Tools:

Use Fabri-Tac to glue white stretchy lace to the leg holes of the bathing suit. Cut two pieces of blue spandex fabric into a half-circle shape — glue one edge to the front of the bathing suit and the other edge to the back.

The spandex fabric will drape over your hips and give you that fancy Cinderella glow.

No need to worry about losing a glass slipper when hanging out at the pool — it’s a glass-free zone ;)

Jasmine

Materials and Tools:

Sew the gold button into the middle of the top edge of the bathing suit. Cut two pieces of tulle that are the length of the circumference of your arm — tie together and glue on the sides of the bathing suit.

Netted tulle is the perfect material for adding detailing on bathing suits — it’s super lightweight and will dry very quickly.

Just looking for Aladdin to help show us the world.

Tinkerbell

Materials and Tools:

Tape or hand paint triangles to the top of the bikini. Cut out a rectangle that measures the length of your hips and four inches wide. Cut out triangles to create a pendant flag waistband, and glue onto the waistband of the bathing suit. When gluing, attach every other inch to the waistband of the suit. This will allow the bathing suit to properly stretch.

This crisscross suit is the perfect piece to express your sassy inner Tinkerbell.

This Tinkerbell chooses a life of swimming in the sea instead of flying in the air.

Ariel

Materials and Tools:

Cut out long ovals from your scuba material and glue onto the cups of the bathing suit to create shells. Paint purple. Cut out small scales from the shiny green fabric and glue onto the bathing suit bottoms to create the look of a mermaid tail.

Splish, splash in this Ariel-inspired bathing suit that allows you full motion of your legs. No need for an actual mermaid tail — that sounds like a lot of ab work to stay afloat.

But a dinglehopper is a must.

Peter Pan

Materials and Tools:

Use painters tape to mark off triangles along the waistband of the bathing suit. Paint with green fabric paint. Once dry, remove the tape.

That must be Neverland that we see!

PS: If you have the Peter Pan hat — you probably should also wear it. It’ll really help you fly.

Prince Eric

Materials and Tools:

Cut a piece of red fabric that is six inches tall and the width of your waist. Stretch the waistband over a piece of cardboard and glue on the red fabric band.

Prince Eric — ready to win over every princess’s heart.

Searching for the voice of his beloved Ariel.

Eric: “I know she is out there — I must find her!” Ariel: “Eric! I’m right here!”

This New Trader Joe’s Cookbook Is Packed With 150 Easy Recipes To Enjoy Every Day

It’s no secret we’re massiveTrader Joe’s fans around here. From discovering the latest and greatest products to snacking on their vast array of sweets, we truly cannot get enough of what TJ’s has to offer. That’s why we’re absolutely thrilled to share tidbits from a brand-new Trader Joe's cookbook (gasp!) that makes enjoying TJ’s finds so much more fun.

The I Love Trader Joe's Cookbook: 15th Anniversary Edition by Cherie Mercer Twohy is a collection of 150 easy recipes using budget-friendly ingredients from our favorite grocer. Twohy’s been a TJ’s fan ever since she was little, where she remembers joining her mom on grocery trips to the very first Trader Joe’s store in Pasadena, California. Since then, her love for the Trader Joe’s ‘treasure hunt’ (AKA finding fun, new products to try) hasn’t wavered.

In developing The I Love Trader Joe's Cookbook: 15th Anniversary Edition, Twohy said crafting the collection of 150 recipes took years.

“Many were tested and debuted when I had a cooking school in CA,” she said. “Now that I live 3 hours round-trip from the closest Trader Joe's, the drive can take longer than the recipe testing! I don't pay much attention to the clock when honing a recipe, because it's so much fun.”

When asked about her favorite items to pick up from TJ’s Twohy was quick to give her best recommendations! Some of her go-to’s include: puff pastry, fennel, the Umami Seasoning Blend, the Corn and Chile Tomato-less Salsa, frozen garlic cubes, creme fraiche, and 10 Minute Farro – and, of course, the entire cheese section.

“If you are a ‘can of this, package of that’ sort of cook, TJ's products are great because they don't use artificial colors, preservatives and all that stuff,” Twohy offered. “Not only [are they] time saving, but good for you, too.”

We were lucky enough to get a peek at some recipes from Twohy’s cookbook: One-Pot Pesto Pasta, Potatoes, and Green Beans and Linguini with Leeks, Shrimp, and Arugula. Scroll on for the deets!

Recipe: One-Pot Pesto Pasta, Potatoes, and Green Beans

"The first time I heard of this classic Ligurian dish, I thought it sounded so strange," Twohy writes. "Talk about carb overload! But the flavors, textures, and colors couldn’t be more perfectly paired, and you’ll be converted to the pasta-and-potato combination with the first bite."

Ingredients:

  • 1 large boiling potato (or two small ones)
  • 1/2 pound green beans, trimmed and cut into 3-inch lengths
  • 1/2 (16-ounce) bag thin pasta, such as capellini or spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup Trader Joe’s Pesto alla Genovese (in the refrigerated section)
  • 2 ounces Trader Joe’s Chevre Goat Cheese, softened
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Meanwhile, scrub the potato and cut into 1-inch cubes. Place the potato cubes in the boiling water and cook until barely tender, about 7 minutes. Scoop the potatoes out of the water with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  2. Add the green beans to the same water and cook until just tender, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and add to the potatoes.
  3. In the same water, cook the pasta until tender. When you drain the pasta, reserve 1⁄2 cup of the cooking water.
  4. In the pasta pot, combine the pesto, goat cheese, and 1⁄4 cup of the water, then add the cooked pasta and toss. Add the potatoes and green beans.
  5. If a saucier consistency is desired, add a bit more of the reserved pasta water. Adjust seasonings to taste with salt and pepper.

Recipe: Linguini with Leeks, Shrimp, and Arugula

"I’m a sucker for the pink-and-green look of this dish," Twohy writes. "The leeks, arugula, and shrimp get all tangled up in the long pasta strands, and the grated Parmesan provides a nutty saltiness I just love."

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 leeks, cleaned and thinly sliced
  • 2 cubes frozen crushed garlic
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 (16-ounce) bag linguini (or another long pasta), cooked and drained
  • A handful of arugula
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. In a medium sauté pan, heat the olive oil and butter. Sauté the leeks over medium-high heat until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté 1 to 2 minutes, until fragrant.
  3. Add the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the sauce is slightly reduced.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until pink.
  5. Toss the leek-shrimp mixture with the cooked pasta. Add the arugula and toss.
  6. Add the grated Parmesan, toss, and adjust seasonings to taste with salt and pepper.

'Severance' Season 3 Is Coming — & It "Definitely" Won't Take 3 Years

Don't worry, if you're still crying over the Severance season 2 ending, I have good news for you. Severance season 3 is coming to Apple TV+! The show was renewed for a junior season after the season 2 finale and the news couldn't come at a better time. I need to see the Severance cast and characters happy!!! Is there a season 3 of Severance coming out?

Yes, Apple TV renewed Severance for a season 3 on March 21, 2025.

“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” executive producer and director Ben Stiller says in a statement. He jokes that, “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast and crew, Apple and the whole Severance team,” executive Adam Scott (who also plays Mark) adds. “Oh hey also — not a huge deal — but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”

When is Severance season 3 coming out?

We don't have an official Severance season 3 release date yet, but we do know it won't take another three years for new episodes to come out. (We all remember the 3-year wait between seasons 1 and 2).

During an appearance on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Ben Stiller promises that "the plan is not, definitely not" to release Severance season 3 in 2028.

Who's in Severance season 3?

Based on the end of season 2, we can include the Severance season 3 cast to include all our favorite stars:

  • Adam Scott as Mark Scout: a Lumon employee leading his team in Macrodata Refinement (MDR). In the real world he's mourning his late wife Gemma.

  • Dichen Laman as Gemma/Ms. Casey: Mark's wife in the real world and the wellness counselor on Lumon's severed floor.
  • Zach Cherry as Dylan George: another of Mark's coworkers who's the first one to be awakened outside the office.
  • John Turturro as Irving Bailiff: a Lumon employee who works with Mark.
  • Christopher Walken as Burt Goodman: a severed Lumon employee who's the head of Optics and Design (O&D).
  • Tramell Tillman as Seth Milchick: Lumon's Manager on the severed floor.
  • Patricia Arquette as Harmony Cobel: Lumon's manager during season 1 who lives as outie Mark's neighbor Mrs. Selvig.
  • Jen Tullock as Devon Scout-Hale: Mark's sister, who's pregnant in season 1.
  • Michael Chernus as Ricken Hale: Devon's husband and a self-help author.

What happens at the end of Severance season 2?

The Severance season 2 ending is truly devastating. In the final moments of the episode, outie Mark and Gemma finally reunite in the moment we've been waiting literal years for. They decide to make their escape, but when they slip back into their innie selves, Mark S. decides he doesn't want to sacrifice himself for his outie. He stays with Helly at Lumon while Gemma (who had managed to escape, reverting to her outie self) looks on, screaming his name and beating on the door.

Where does Severance film?

Severance has been filmed in locations like New Jersey's Bell Labs, as well as various locations around New York, including York Studios, Kingston, Nyack, Marine Park Golf Course, Ulster County, and Beacon.
