When you’re always on the go, it is key — pun intended — to make sure you are equipped to keep moving and shaking! Here at B+C we love innovation, creativity, and efficiency and are obsessed with the latest technology that allows us to live life in the fast lane. That’s why we’ve partnered with Ford on the launch of the First-Ever* 2018 Ford EcoSport — serving up the perfect DIY for the adventure seeking, concert goin’, workout lovin’ gal: a functional and fashionable leather keychain.
Earlier this month, some of our favorite inspirational women came together at the Life Hack Academy Brunch in Los Angeles to discuss their life hacks and build their own keychain. Keep reading to learn how to do it and get some inspo!

O-M-G!
Let’s do this!
Materials and Tools:
- keychain
- faux leather
- leather scissors
- hot glue gun
- charger + cord
- GPS tracker
- ruler
- pencil
- accessories
Instructions:
- Cover the top of charger with leather.
- Measure and cut top leather strap.
- Attach strap to top of charger.
- Measure and cut square of leather for fringe.
- Make fringe.
- Attach fringe to charger.
- Create leather band for the top of charger.
- Wrap charger in embroidery thread.
- Decorate.
Start by cutting a small circle from the leather to fit on the top of the charger. Attach it using your hot glue gun.
Measure and cut 1/4×2 inches out of the leather, and cut it to make the top strap of the keychain.
Hot glue one side of the strap to the top side of the charger. Be sure to leave an equal distance on each side of the strap!
Attach the keychain, then hot glue the opposite side of the strap to the other side of the charger.
Next up, measure and cut 5×6 inches of the leather.
Cut fringe, leaving space at the top of the leather to hot glue to the charger.
Using the hot glue gun, attach fringe at the top of the charger.
Hot glue a strip of leather around the top of the keychain.
To add a super cute pop of color, wrap the charger with embroidery thread!
Add GPS tracker to the keychain. This thing is amazing; hello to never losing your keys again!
Decorate with flair!
Make one for yourself and a pal.
Seriously, SO perfect!
