Make a Pair of Feather Earrings Just in Time for Coachella

The world of DIY ear candy has (almost) seen it all — dainty studs,chunky studs, jeweled earrings, hoop earrings, ear cuffs and even earrings that look like pretzels. What about dangling-stud hybrids that adorn your ears from the front and back? That’s where this project comes in. Not only do these earrings use charms, but they also give the back halves a chance to shine. Don’t think twice about this one. No fancy DIY skills are needed!

Materials:
— E6000 glue

— chain

— earring posts with nut backings

— charms (use flat charms for the studs potion of the earrings and two different types of charms for the chains)

— 4mm jump rings

— seed beads

— 1 1/4″ eye pins

Tools:
— 3-in-1 jewelry pliers

Instructions:

1. To make the front halves of your earrings, add 3/8″ worth of beads to each eye pin. Trim the pins, leaving about 1/4″.

2. Using the needle-nosed pliers, bend the pins into loops. You just made yourself a pair of custom beaded connectors!

3. Attach charms through the loops.

4. Add strands of chain measuring 2 inches long.

5. Glue the earring posts to the back of flat charms. Let dry.

6. Attach the chains to the stud using jump rings.

7. To make the back halves, attach tiny charms to chains measuring 2 1/4 inches long.

8. Attach the back chain to the earring backings through one of the loops on the earring back.

For the charms dangling in the front, feel free to use any size or shape. You can switch up the type of beads that you use as well. As long as they’re small, they’ll work just fine. Ideas for alternatives include beads made of metal, wood or stone. Your earrings, your rules.

For best results, make sure the charms being glued to the earring posts are flat and wide. As for the little guys dangling in the back, you can also use any size or shape. In this pair, we used tiny rhinestone charms for a bit of sparkle.

When you’re ready to wear your new baubles, put the earrings on like normal. You can even make a few different backs and fronts, and mix and match. It’s like you’ll have a new set of earrings every day. This pair is sweet and simple, but you can spice them up a much as you want.

I Made The Starbucks Medicine Ball Drink At Home – Here's How It Went

When I was working barista shifts at Starbucks over the winter, we'd get Medicine Ball orders every single hour. And not going to lie, I really hated them. Let me get this straight — I didn't hate the drink, but I more so disliked the fact that the customers ordering them almost always demanded their tea between a swarm of thick coughs and countless small sniffles. Yuck.

It truly felt like I was on the fence of getting sick pretty much every time someone stepped up to the register. But, I remained strong and I did what I had to do as a service worker, which in this case, was to pour the peachy-citrus tea into a pool of honey syrup, then top it with steamed lemonade. Coughs and sniffles aside, I often questioned why someone would order the Medicine Ball, based on the cost of the drink alone (up to $6, and that gets expensive when you're ordering it all the time).

Popular during sick season, the Starbucks Medicine Ball (AKA the Honey Citrus Mint Tea) may be good, but it's not good enough to cure you of that semi-flu, or whatever other pathogens might have been floating around in my café. It's also not worth putting someone else's health in jeopardy. Turns out, you can make the Medicine Ball at home — which saves money and effort (and spares others' safety) in the long run.

How can I make a Medicine Ball at home?

Making a Starbucks Medicine Ball at home is pretty straightforward:
  1. Heat 1 cup of lemonade in the microwave for 45 seconds to a minute.
  2. Add 1 cup of hot water and stir in 1 tablespoon honey.
  3. Add one bag of Peach Tranquility and one bag of Jade Citrus Mint, then steep for a few minutes.
  4. Enjoy your Medicine Ball!

How I Made The Starbucks Medicine Ball At Home

First, I embarked on an ever-iconic Target run to gather my copycat Starbucks Medicine Ball recipe ingredients. Since they were out of the exact Teavana teas I needed to replicate the TikTok recipe, I picked up two similar ones: first, the Good & Gather Organic Peach Honey Tea, and the Good & Gather Organic Mint Tea. I also picked up a jug of lemonade, and planned to use the honey I already had at home. All together, the three ingredients I needed ended up costing me about $9.50.

Step 1: Heat Lemonade

I measured a cup of lemonade, and just popped my Starbucks mug in the microwave for a minute.

Step 2: Add Water and Honey

While the lemonade was in the microwave, I set some water on in my electric kettle. Once both liquids were heated up, I measured a cup of water and combined it in the mug with a tablespoon of honey. Yum!

Step 3: Steep Tea Bags

Then, I put the two teabags in the mixture to steep. The tea wasn't overly hot either, and I steeped them for about 3 minutes before giving my homemade Medicine Ball recipe a lil' sip.

Is the homemade version of the Medicine Ball as good as the one from Starbucks?

To my surprise, my homemade Medicine Ball recipe was extremely delicious, and it mimicked the Starbucks one so closely. Before tasting, I gave my tea a sniff, and the smell was pretty much identical to the drink made in stores. The flavor hit the exact same mark.

Overall, I rate my homemade Starbucks Medicine Ball a 4.7/5.

The only detracting factors are the temperature of the drink – Starbucks steams their lemonade to make the drink super hot, and mine wasn't nearly as piping. Of course, this is just personal preference, and next time, I can heat the lemonade for a longer duration, or reheat the drink altogether. Another reason for the minimal point deduction is the drink wasn't as sweet as I expected it to be. Again, this is a personal preference, and you can add as little or as much sweetener you desire!

All of this goes to say, that a homemade Starbucks Medicine Ball is just as yummy as the one you can get at a Starbucks cafe. By following the steps above, you can make a copycat recipe that's going to satisfy your hankering for a citrusy, hot tea!

It's The Holiday season — which means it's time to fangirl over Jude Law again. (Although some would argue it's always time to fangirl over Jude Law). His character Graham is a total heartthrob, as well as Iris' (Kate Winslet) big brother, but he's also a single dad to two daughters, which is where he's most swoon worthy, IMO. And the internet agrees that showing Amanda (Cameron Diaz) his dinner party alter ego Mr. Napkin Head is one of the best moments of the film. So it's safe to say that when he recreated the scene with director Nancy Meyers, the internet lost its mind.

Jude Law and Nancy Meyers reunited on Thursday December 12 to celebrate Jude getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "Congrats Jude! ⭐️" Nancy said on Instagram. "I was thrilled to be at a lunch for Jude today and I had one question for him…."

While filming Jude from the other side of the table, an off-camera Nancy says, "It’s so great to see you. I don’t think I’ve seen you since we wrapped up The Holiday. Speaking of which. I’ve seen you interviewed a lot, and they keep asking you if there’s going to be a sequel, what do you think?”

Jude Law has also revealed he's "love" to do a 'The Holiday 2'!

Jude has said in the past that the possibility for a potential sequel rests with Nancy, so the fact she's playing into the hype definitely gives me hope. “I’d love to see where they’re at,” Jude says on Today. “I’m a yes. You need to check in with everyone else...I'll ask Kate."

“I think Graham still has cardigans and glasses, and reads,” he adds in an interview with E! News. “He’s probably worried sick 'bout the girls, right? The daughters will be 28, 29.”

And in addition to teasing The Holiday 2, Jude Law also recently went viral for revealing The Holiday movie cottage doesn't actually exist — and breaking thousands of hearts in the process!

"So [Nancy Meyers], she's a bit of a perfectionist," he told BBC Radio. "She toured that whole area and didn't quite find the chocolate box cottage she's looking for...She just [rented] a field, and drew it and had someone build it."

But while the outside of the cottage looks like the perfect London Christmas card, the inside was, well...empty. "So here's the funny thing, if you watch it...We were shooting in the winter here," he continues. "And every time I'd go in that door, we'd cut, and we shot the interiors in L.A. about three months later...Just burst the bubble. Sorry!"
