Make Your Dreams Come True With This DIY Floral Unicorn Christmas Wreath

It’s no secret that we’re *obsessed* with all things unicorns and floral. Somewhere over the rainbow and through a glittery forest, there’s a family of unicorns prancing in a mystical flower meadow, just waiting to be found. But until we can find this ethereal place, we’ll be on a mission to create every unicorn-inspired craft possible (in hopes of luring these magical creatures to our beloved office). With the holiday season in full swing, we’ve got a special unicorn DIY to share. Read on to learn how to make your holidays a little more whimsical with this DIY floral unicorn wreath. Perhaps you’ll ignite a magic light to attract the sparkly creatures.

Materials + Tools:

Instructions:

  1. Cut out the horn and ear shapes from the printable.
  2. Use the printable shapes as a guide to cut from the felt sheets. Use white felt for the horn and larger ear piece. Use pink felt for the smaller ear piece. Make sure to cut two of each ear piece out.
  3. To make the unicorn horn, start at the top of the horn and slowly roll it into a point. Use the hot glue gun to secure placement.
  4. Once the point is glued, adhere the edges of the felt cone so the bottom ends meet.
  5. Fill the horn with cotton stuffing.
  6. Fold over the felt ends of the cone, and glue them down to seal up the horn.
  7. Starting at the bottom of the horn, glue a piece of embroidery thread where the felt ends meet.
  8. Wrap the thread around the horn, tugging a little each way to give the horn definition.
  9. Glue the end to the top of the horn, and snip off any excess thread.
  10. Make the unicorn ears by gluing the pink felt pieces on top of the white felt pieces. Set aside.
  11. To make the wreath, arrange the fake flowers around the foam ring. Glue down the flowers when happy with placement.
  12. For a whimsical illusion of unicorn hair, loop four 12-inch strips of tulle around the wreath ring.
  13. Glue on the unicorn horn and ears.

Let’s get to it!

First things first, we’re going to start off by making the unicorn horn and ear set. Cut out the horn and ear shapes from the printable. Use the printable shapes as a guide to cut from the felt sheets. Use white felt for the horn and larger ear piece. Use pink felt for the smaller ear piece. Make sure to cut two of each ear piece out.

To make the unicorn horn, start at the top and slowly roll it into a point. Use the hot glue gun to secure placement. Once the point is glued, adhere the edges of the felt cone so the bottom ends meet.

Fill the horn with cotton stuffing. Fold over the felt ends of the cone, and glue them down to seal up the horn.

Pro Tip: Use filling from an old pillow if you don’t need to buy a large bag of cotton stuffing.

Starting at the bottom of the horn, glue a piece of embroidery thread where the felt ends meet. We’re using a glittery pink thread to accentuate the unicorn sparkles. Wrap the thread around the horn, tugging a little each way to give the horn definition. Glue the end to the top of the horn, and snip off any excess thread.

Make the unicorn ears by gluing the pink felt pieces on top of the white felt pieces. Et voilà! You’ve finished a set of unicorn horn and ears. (Feel free to make extra sets. They can easily be added to a headband, so you can don it for your next party or Halloween costume!)

To make the wreath, arrange the fake flowers around the foam ring. Glue down the flowers when happy with placement.

Now to create an illusion of unicorn hair with some pink glitter tulle! Cut four 12-inch strips of tulle. Locate where you’ll be placing the unicorn ears, and loop through two strips of tulle (for each ear) onto the wreath. Feel free to layer on the tulle to fluff things up.

Give your wreath its final spark by gluing on the unicorn horn and ears!

Zhush up the tulle ends — ANDDD you’re done!

Hang up the wreath for a special touch this holiday season. And don’t worry — your magical creation can definitely stay up all year long :)

Here’s to hoping that we’ll wake up to the sight of some beautifully mystical creatures.

The only thing that was more exciting for me than finding out Blake Lively was leading It Ends With Us was learningVerity had cast Anne Hathaway in the leading role. This twisted tale about a struggling writer, secrets, and love is widely considered one of the wildest books in recent memory — and based on these first set leak from New York City, the Verity movie will be just as memorable.

See the first look at Anne Hathaway and Josh Harnett in Colleen Hoover's Verity movie!

Josh Harnett and Anne Hathaway laugh around New York City in 'Verity' leak.

Josh Harnett and Anne Hathaway are starring as Jeremy and Verity in the Verity movie, and they're absolutely radiant in the first look, where they're literally running through the streets of New York City. They're dressed to the nines, with Verity in a red gown and heels, holding Jeremy's tuxedo jacket to her chest, while Jeremy's top shirt button — and his bowtie — are undone.

It's wild, it's free, and honestly it feels kind of haunting to look at honestly because I know that this joy won't last forever. But for now? I simply can't stop looking at it.

In addition to Josh Harnett and Anne Hathaway, we'll see Dakota Johnson as Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who's over the moon when Jeremy offers her a job. All she has to do is complete Verity's unfinished manuscripts...but the secrets Lowen finds in the stories prove Verity's hiding a lot more than she's letting on.

Um yeah, this is one book-to-film adaptation I cannot wait for.

Watching Hulu's Paradise has done two things this week: raise my blood pressure and entice me to buy psychological thriller books. They're hair raising because they don't feature mythical creatures from gothic books. By contrast, sinister humans are revealed to be the main villains and that's scarier because it shows what people are capable of.

You'd think I'd despise reading about antagonists who play twisted mind games, but a part of me likes knowing what drives them to commit crimes. Is it because I'm looking for the humanity in them or do I love a great plot that makes me want to binge read until I feel weepy? Eh, let's agree that it's both while you get a glimpse of the books I'm adding to my cart.

Hair trends come and go, but some of them should remain frozen in time forever. It's not that we think you'll be making a major faux pas, but we want to see you look your best! There are so many cute hairstyles that will suit your face much better than a mullet would, but that's not the only trend you should bury in the sands of time! Here are the outdated hairstyles what you should avoid at home, at the salon, and really anywhere right now.

Scroll to see the 8 outdated hairstyles it's officially time to retire for good!

Brit + Co

1. Deep Side Parts

Coming in at #1 on our "outdated" list are deep side parts. They used to something we admired on everyone from Amy Winehouse to Katy Perry, but now they remind us of the questionable choices we made in our early 20s.

cottonbro studio

2. Space Buns

Princess Leia may look great wearing her space buns in the Star Wars franchise, but we think you shouldn't bring them into 2025. The last time someone on our team wore them was between 2018 or 2019, so that should say a lot.

We don't say this often, but let's wear hairstyles that don't revert us back to our grade school days.

Brit + Co

3. Side Braid

Unless you're trying to relive your childhood days or want to mimic Blake Lively's character in It Ends With Us, this outdated hairstyle shouldn't be on your list of favorite looks to wear. There's other braided styles you can wear that are way more stylish anyway!

Brit + Co

4. Super Visible Highlights

Whether you're getting microlinks or a sew-in, wearing super visible highlights in 2025 is truly outdated. It's one thing to switch up your style, but it's another to let the world know how much you love a good contrast by letting your hair scream it from the mountaintops.

Keep your color of choice seamless this year if you decide to get a color service.

Brit + Co

5. '60s Up-Do

There's a time and place for everything, including updos that resemble what was popular during the '60s. If you must wear this style, go for a more modern take that doesn't feel as stiff. You might want to update your bangs too.

Brit + Co

6. Wand Curls

When's the last time you heard someone mention this once popular style? Chances are you haven't because it's a reminder of how long it took to achieve overly done curls. Depending on the size you wanted, you could spend anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour on this style. Oh, and it was mandatory to wear the accompanying glove that came with the 'wand' or else you risked burning your fingers!

No thank you!

Brit + Co

7. Barbie Bleach

Remember when it was a cardinal sin to show up to the beach without "effortlessly wavy" hair? It seems more people are moving away from that and embracing 'messy' buns and the beauty of textured hair. It's one thing if you hair naturally looks like this, but it's another if you try to make your hair conform to this style just because it's "on trend."

Newsflash: you don't have to force your hair to do something it doesn't want to! (And not everyone has to look like Serena van der Woodsen!)

Brit + Co

8. Millennial Pouf

Oof, how can we forget the millennial pouf? This was one of our go-to hairstyles that we swore we'd always wear. Little did we know how much we'd avoid it once we graduated from college.

It's not the most annoying style, but we're throwing this one in the "outdated" bag so we can't even pretend we're going to start wearing it again.

Want to know what else is "outdated?" Revisit the nail trends you shouldn't be wearing in 2025!
