Make This Wooden Ring Box for Your Wedding Day

You’ve got your dream engagement ring, and now that you’ve put months into planning your wedding, it’s time to say those vows, kiss your man and put that second band on your finger! Today we’re going to DIY a wooden ring bearer box for your favorite little guy to carry down the aisle. What we love about this piece is that it’s a great memento of your special day that you can later turn into a memory box. Fill it with precious wedding paper goods (like DIY calligraphy invitations and DIY watercolor save the dates), photos and trinkets from your wedding day or honeymoon. Special shout out to Mama Misty for making Elijah look so darn cute!

Materials:

— wooden box
— stain

— 1/4 yard velvet

— fiber fill

— Velcro

— ribbon

Tools:

— wood burner

— hot glue gun

— scissors

— sewing machine

— pencil

Instructions:

1. Use a pencil to mark your design on top of the box, then trace over it with your wood burner.

2. Grab a rag or paper towel, and apply a coat of stain to the box. Let dry.

3. Cut two rectangles of velvet to fit the size of your box. Stack them with the velvet side facing in, then sew three sides, turn right side out and stuff with fiber fill. Use a hot glue gun to close the last open edge of the pillow.

4. Cut two pieces of ribbon (about two inches long) and apply Velcro to each end. Attach the Velcro together to create a loop. Glue each loop to the center of the pillow with about three inches in between (depending on the size of your box).

Wood burners are tricky, so we recommend practicing on the bottom of the inside of the box before starting on the front side. Use a pencil to mark your design and then trace with the wood burner.

Use a rag to apply wood stain to the box. The more coats you apply, the darker the finish will be.

Cut two pieces of velvet to the size of the inside of your box. Ours was about eight-by-five inches. Stack them with the velvet sides facing in, then sew three sides, turn right side out and stuff with fiber fill. Use a hot glue gun to secure the last open edge.

Place the velvet pillow in the box. We didn’t hot glue ours into the box, but I would recommend doing so to make sure the rings don’t get lost. During our photo shoot, we found that Elijah loved to pull the pillow out of the box :)

Cut two pieces of ribbon that are about two inches long. Stick Velcro on each end of the ribbon, and then attach the ends to form a loop. This is where you’ll add your rings! Hot glue the loops to the velvet pillow.

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

In addition to the show entering production, the one and only Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) just joined the cast. Iconic!

The Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast features all our favorites, and some new faces! According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Steve Martin and Martin Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

There's no Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date quite yet, but the show is in production! Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Woah! The 'Office Romance' Cast Is Stacked With All Your Fave Stars

Jennifer Lopez may be all over our FYPs, but she's also about to be all over the big screen as well. As some of you may know, she's producing the amazing Emily Henry adaptation Happy Place,and now she's set to work on a new romance with Ted Lasso star and writer Brett Goldstein. And guess what? What do we know about Office Romance so far?

According to Deadline, there was a huge bidding war over the Office Romance rom-com, and Netflix ended up winning. Jennifer Lopez's production company, Nuyorican Films, is going to be working on it, thanks to Jennifer's multi-movie deal with Netflix.

As to who will star in it? Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein themselves! Both are playing dual roles of writer/actor and producer/actress. We've all seen Brett Goldstein's incredible writing at play with Ted Lasso, and now we can't wait to see how it translates in this office romance with J-Lo. Brett will be writing the film alongside writer Joe Kelly.

Immediately after news was released about the two co-starring together, fans were so quick to find a clip on X from an interview in 2018 where Brett is talking about J-Lo's movie, Hustlers. He says in the interview, "She's 50! 50! I love her." He then goes on to say, in regards to a scene where Jennifer cuddles another actress in the movie, "I've never wanted to be cuddled more. That is one of the best cuddles. Give me one of your special cuddles." Based on this reaction, we just know their chemistry is about to be off the charts!

Office Romance isn't the only rom-com J.Lo is working on! She's also working on adapting the EmHen book Happy Place for Netflix, which we all know and love (Hi, Emily. We love you!). It will be a multiple-part series on the platform with Leila Cohan from Bridgerton co-Executive producing it.

According to Deadline, Cohan will be the showrunner and co-writer for the series, which we are so excited for as Bridgerton-lovers! As for other future projects, we can't wait to see more news of projects J.Lo is working on, because if these two are any signifiers, then we know it must be good! I've been floating in the pop cultural abyss because I was clueless about how amazing Netflix's latest comedy Survival of the Thickest is! I just finished Season 2 and it's the funniest and rawest TV series I've watched since being persuaded to binge The White Lotus. But, that's not the show it actually reminds me of.

No, Survival of the Thickest feels like Insecure and And Just Like That had a comedic baby we get to watch grow in real time. There's the familiar supportive friend group, burgeoning careers, and passionate love stories that make you want to call your bestie to complain or scream in excitement.

I genuinely can't stop watching it and can't wait to share why you should be watching it too!

What is 'Survival of the Thickest' about?

What happens when you face the worst breakup ever? You cry and find a way to revamp your life, according to Mavis from Survival of the Thickest.

The series revolves around her getting acclimated with being single again while juggling her floundering stylist career. She's got a supportive village, but that doesn't mean she's not prone to making mistakes or facing situations worth cackling about outside of her group chat.

Mavis Beaumont may have started off as a heartbroken stylist's assistant in Season 1 of Survival of the Thickest, but she's since gone on to build a name for herself in Season 2. She's also trying to figure out if she's going to stick with her new love interest Luca or go back to her familiar ex Jacque.

2. Taylor Selé as Jacque

Jacque is a talented fashion photographer who seems to know what to say to uplift Mavis. Though he starts off saying and doing all the right things, Mavis catches him cheating on her and it leaves her devastated. Interestingly enough, Jacque appears to be remorseful over his huge transgression and tries to prove that he won't make the same mistake again.

3. Tasha Smith as Marley

Marley's one of Mavis' no-nonsense besties who applies the same tenacity to her career as a finance executive. Her inspirational quips may come across as 'funny,' but she doesn't lie when she encourages those around her to move in excellence.

4. Tone Bell as Khalil

Mavis is surrounded by even more love with the addition of the creative Khalil by her side. He has a softer approach than Marley, but he still wants the best for Mavis and has no problem helping redirect her when she's ready to throw pity parties. If only he could apply the same principles to his own love life...

If you've ever had a roommate who triggered you at every turn, you probably had someone like Jade in your life. She's the kind of person who seems like she has good intentions, but always finds a way to do something that feels toxic. Whether it's ignoring boundaries or saying the wrong thing at the worst time, Jade's going to do it.

6. Garcelle Beauvais as Natasha Karina

Garcelle Beauvais may have left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but you can watch her break necks and hurt feelings in Season 2 of Survival of the Thickest. She plays former '90s supermodel Natasha Karina who becomes Mavis' client after an initial period of misunderstandings.

7. Anthony Michael Lopez as Bruce

Bruce has been on a mission to be the best assistant to Natasha Karina for as long as he can remember, so he takes it personally when Mavis doesn't seem to understand her new client in the beginning. Though he warms up to her too, his Type-A personality still follows closely behind.

Luca's all about Mavis and that's the I like it. Not only is he eye candy, but he's got enough passion stored in his body that makes me feel he's the obvious choice for our love-worn protagonist. However, only time will tell if Mavis thinks she and him are endgame or not.

9. Peppermint as Herself

Survival of the Thickest is all about making sure all voices, storylines and identities are championed. Having Peppermint as another close friend of Mavis rounds out her supportive village because she's big on bringing her fun-loving energy wherever she goes. And when Peppermint takes a brief break from performing to get married, Mavis is right there rooting for her.

10. Alecsys Proctor-Turner as Nala

My, how the tables have turned! In Season 2 of Survival of the Thickest, Mavis gets her own assistant in the form of the fashion-obsessed Nala. Though she has moments where her naive nature shines through, she helps provide even more comedic relief and moments of clarity.

One-Pot Chicken Caesar Pasta

Serves 4-6

Here’s a quick, flavorful twist on the classic Caesar salad — comforting yet refreshingly light! Made with seasoned chicken breast strips, Caesar dressing, crunchy breadcrumbs, artichoke hearts, and a squeeze of lemon, this creamy, garlicky pasta is your new spring staple!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup caesar dressing, divided
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 pkg Perdue® Fresh Cuts Chicken Breast Strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and fresh pepper
  • 2 tablespoons garlic
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb linguine or any type of pasta
  • 1/3 cup artichoke hearts, halved
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 1/4 cup toasted & salted breadcrumbs
  • Parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, cut in wedges

Directions:

1. In a medium bowl, combine 3/4 cup caesar salad dressing, Italian seasoning and chicken breast strips to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2. In a large saucepan or dutch oven over medium heat, heat the oil until shimmering. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes.

3. With tongs, remove the chicken from the marinade and place directly into pan. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, not moving or flipping until well browned. Chicken is ready when an insta-read thermometer reads chicken at 165℉. Transfer grilled chicken to plate to rest while you make the pasta.

5. In the same pan, combine milk, remaining 1/4 cup caesar dressing and chicken broth and bring to a low simmer. Add the pasta and stir until the pasta fits in the pan.

6. Cook according to pasta package timed instructions. Stir occasionally to keep pasta from sticking. Salt to taste.

7. When pasta is al dente, remove from heat and carefully stir in artichoke hearts and capers. Top with chicken and any juices collected, parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs and parsley. Serve with lemon slices and enjoy!

Serves 4

This Chicken & Waffle dish is a fun, protein-packed twist that’s perfect for kids and crowds alike. Serve it up for breakfast, brunch, or even dinner. Simply bake or air-fry, and you’ll have a crispy, golden treat ready in under 15 minutes!

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pkg Perdue® Fresh Cuts Chicken Breast Diced
  • Avocado oil spray
  • Mini waffles, or waffles cut in quarters
  • Maple syrup

Directions:

1. Preheat air fryer to 400ºF. (May also be baked in a 400ºF oven for 20 minutes on a greased sheet pan.)

2. In a medium bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add diced chicken breast and toss to coat.

3. Spray air fryer basket with avocado oil and add chicken in a single layer. Multiple batches may be necessary. Air fry chicken bites for 10-12 minutes. Chicken is ready when an insta-read thermometer reads chicken at 165℉.

4. Assemble kebabs by alternating chicken bites and waffles. Drizzle with maple syrup and enjoy!
